This is the second time I've used U-Haul… both times I've gotten charged for more miles than I drove and this time I also got double charged for the rental fee? I've contacted U-Haul customer service, sent pictures over of the mileage from the start that didn't reflect U-Haul's claimed start mileage, and the customer service rep said I got double charged for rental fee and this still hasn't gotten refunded nor has the extra miles I did not drive. So frustrating.

Nothing that was unsatisfactory was in their control. They speak with a very heavy accent and it was challenging to have a fluent conversation. However, they were very polite and understanding. I didn't feel comfortable leaving my personal car at that location, it's not in the safest neighborhood. My car wasnt touched and overall it wasn't an unpleasant experience.

Then I asked for a receipt and they told me I can only get one by email. I asked to see it and they told me I couldn't. This is why I did not want to deal with a neighborhood dealer. The last time I had a bad experience as well so I was not surprised I got poor service at the neighborhood dealer again.

When trying to check-in for my reservation, I was asked to provide a picture of my license and tried to submit it. Twice I received an error saying there wasn't enough memory and it took me back to the log-in page and didn't save any of my progress towards completing the check-out process. The same thing happened during the check-in process.

MICHAEL S.As indicated in my checkout form, please be sure to respond to the low-tire pressure and engine lights that were on in the dash. Besides that, the automated checkin/checkout process is nice, with photo input at various steps. Convenient and inexpensive overall!

The truck was so dirty on the outside I couldn't see out of the windows, they parked the truck somewhere it was very difficult to back out, and they were very rude. This was the worst uhaul experience and has definitely made me rethink using uhaul ever again

I asked which truck and they pointed towards a few trucks and said "over there you find". The truck didn't have a full tank of gas. I went back in the store to tell them but they were busy (as it's a convenience store) so I left. There was very little interaction. I was not impressed. I would never use them again.

The market was closed and concentrating on the app was hard as I was constantly looking over my shoulder. I still felt unsafe dropping off, even though the market was open.

I was in aware of the new online form system and didn't realize that there was any way of stating it upfront as I was in a rush to move my stuff. I ended up paying $100 alone to get it filled up because the last guy lied or didn't care. The decentralized, online model requires the customer to carry all the responsibility and it sucks.

Sydney W.This is an App pick-up and drop-off location, which wasn't clear, but it would work well if the connectivity from this location worked better. I had significant difficulty connecting, and the App process took extraordinarily long. Several customers were also experiencing the same challenge with connectivity. There was no assistance from the store owner, who was not very friendly or responsive. The truck was in very poor condition. The tailgate keep getting off track; at one point, tar was in the truck's bed, which damaged furniture that was transported before putting down cardboard and blankets to protect items. The car's interior appeared unclean and had a very bad smell that I had to disinfect. I have rented before from UHaul with a good experience. I would not rent from this location again.

Gas was at 1/4 tank so I had to worry about running out before filling up. I like the self serve option with the app tho
Michael D.Everything went smoothly; however, it would have been more reassuring had the associate at the pick-up location been a bit more clear about the whole process. For example, he did not tell me the starting mileage; he said that the starting gas level was 1/4 full when it was really 1/8 full; he did not explain that I would be receiving a text message to which I would need to respond before driving off (I did not see the message until I stopped to get gas a few miles after picking up the vehicle). In the end, everything worked out, but I would have appreciated a more clear explanation of the steps of the process.
Eric S.The store owner was rude as hell. He refused to just sign me out and insisted on me only using the app even though I repeatedly told him it wouldn't work and then he was rude about it. So I wasted 10-15 minutes trying to get the app to work when he could've signed me out in 30 seconds in the first place. Then the truck was not well maintained, when I started to go above 50-55 mph the right front wheel rattled so I had to go 50mph on the highway out of concern for the truck. When I told the shop owner he needed to get the truck looked at before he gave it to anyone else he got hostile and lied to the next customer (who had to drive from Columbus, OH to Texas in it). Overall bad experience renting from him. Wouldn't trust him to maintain the trucks efficiently if I was in charge of the Columbus area Uhaul. I'm tempted to not use Uhaul again die to this experience

Cigarette ash was left in it and bags, but when I went to return it and check out it was still dirty from the previous trip and I said no it wasn't clean for the next family and I got the cleaning fee…, but other then that good spot to get a uhaul

For some users this means maybe ideal but it was not readily clear to us or we would have chosen another location where live registration could be done.

Customer service was terrible. When I went into the store to get help finding my truck the clerk answered “no†when I asked if he managed the uhauls. Then proceeded to ask “why†then actually was the person I needed to talk to. Gave me the wrong truck. Charged me $30 more than necessary

Bryan A.When I signed up online for the truck, there was NO indication that it was a smartphone only facility and pickup and dropoff location. It was only the day BEFORE the scheduled date that I received an email indicating my rental was changed to the smartphone option. When we arrived, there is NO ONE at the facility. Tons of empty beer cases and broken bottles. You need to be UPFRONT with your online orders and indicate which locations have staff and which are smartphone only. I feel it was deceptive and added so much stress to the moving day. I will be contacting your corporate office and discussing this experience.

Paxton S.When I arrived, my flat dolly was missing, and I had to take an appliance dolly instead of the utility and flat dollys I had ordered. The fuel was almost on empty, so I brought it back on the same. I've used this location multiple times and things are always missing. Overall a bad experience and I won't be using this location moving forward. Also, pretty frustrated that I'll be charged for fuel when I picked the truck up on almost empty. I do not think I should be responsible for filling up a truck from empty when I only drove it a few miles.

Waited 45 minutes for a U-haul representative to call my contacts to verify the driver. This could have been done two weeks ago when I booked the reservation.
