Try being honest and not up charging people 300$. Try cleaning out your trucks. Try being reliable and have things ready when you say you will. Do better.

The representative could not have acted more inconvenienced and irritated at my existence if he tried. None of the equipment I paid for was in the truck at arrival; I was able to get the dollies from the location (dirty, wet, outside by the trucks) but no furniture pads (which, again, I paid for). It was a deeply unpleasant experience and the app check-in process was tedious and finicky, though this could have just been due to bad connection on my end. I also received several notifications in the weeks leading up to the reservation letting me know that my reservation was scheduled for a time it wasn't scheduled for, which led to some confusion. I eventually was able to figure it out, but had a rather frustrating experience with the representative before the app loaded what I needed. It was very disappointing, as I've had really pleasant experiences at Victorian Village Market in the past as a customer with different folks who work there. Not sure what happened that morning.
Jillian FWas overcharged for fuel -- the fuel gauge was higher when I returned the truck than when I picked it up, and they still charged me $29 for additional fuel (they didn't give me a receipt when I returned the truck, so I only found out later). Not very professional, I wouldn't rent from here again.
James HHad reservation in place two days prior to pick up but got to location, the workers had no idea I was coming, no information about my reservation, no knowledge out how to do the check out process. Took twenty minutes to check out the U-Haul due to workers not knowing what they were doing and having to call a manger to figure out what to do. Would never return to this location.

Courtney FThis is the first time from this location that I received very dirty equipment. The van had broken glass wrapped in a blanket in the back. There were potato chips on the floor, and dirty drink cans, and another dirty blanket/pad in the front.

John BCustomer check-in and check-out went quick and smooth. However, the rental was gross on the inside with leftover trash and cigarette ashes everywhere. Plus the rental only had a half tank of gas when I got it. I've rented from here before and typically don't have any issues.

CHARLES KMy experience at this location was very poor. I felt rushed through the process and was not given the time for proper instructions or for my answers to be fully answered without a pressure to "hurry up." When I received the UHaul truck, the inside of the truck was very dirty and smelled like a combination of cigarettes and weed. There was a used water bottle and other trash still inside the truck. When I mentioned how dirty the inside of the truck was to the manager, he simply replied, "I know." He didn't say anything else or even try to remedy the situation by cleaning the truck. There was also substantial damage to the physical truck itself.

doreatha pI had picked up the u-haul to begin my move. I was already have difficulties with the online portion of picking up the rental. When I got in the van there was an awful smell I did not know where it was coming from. The back right tire was also low on air. I arrived to my old unit, we opened up the back of the van and the smell was even worse. It was already dirty so I had decided to sweep out the van, in the midst I had discovered dog feceses not only sitting there but also smashed into the rubber lining. We laid down blankets, that have since been thrown away, and started loading when an unspent large bullet was discovered. U-haul was then contacted to get the mess sorted out, but nothing got solved. I did not want my things sitting in the back of the van for too long so they didn't absorb the smell of weed and dog feceses. We pleaded the leasing company to let us in early which resulted in spending more money so my things would not be affected. As we got through the packing and unpacking the back left tire by the time we were done was completely flat. So I had to spend more money to fill it up with air to be able to get it back. We were unable to fully utilize the van due to the smell and opted to use vehicles for bedding, clothes, etc. I was raining all day and we had to leave the van doors open to help combat the smell absorbing into my belongings. This was my first time renting with u-haul, and I am utterly disappointed with the cleanliness, inspection and quality of the vehicles.
Abygail KThe truck I was sent out with for a 6 hour drive should never be driven on the freeway. The doesn't seal so it sounds like you are in a wind tunnel over 50 miles per hour. There was no windshield wiper fluid so I purchased some and filled it up only to discover there is a hole in the tank. When it was raining the wipers would screeched each cycle. The driver side rearview mirror would wander over time as you drove making it fairly useless unless you reached out and adjusted, I eventually duct taped it. The latch on the back drop does not close unless you bang on it. AI had to return to have shit I didn't ask for taken out of the back left from the last customer. Your lack of effort and consideration made the trip miserable and to some extent dangerous.

CAREN RThe van was not clean on the inside. the wheels were not aligned so i had to have the steering wheel turned to the right for the vehicle to go straight and the break pads were worn out. Horrible experience
Karim AThe truck was fine but I reserved a utility dolly and none were available. When I addressed the issue with staff, the response was fairly dismissive and seemed annoyed to search for any dolly that was available on-site. They only found a furniture dolly and said they could switch it, but would still charge for the furniture dolly. There was no understanding about what the lack of a dolly would do for the duration and effort of a move and the additional stress it causes. The lack of a dolly was not a surprise, they knew it wasn't there and didn't bother calling at the start of the day at a time when I could have made alternative arrangements. Instead, I showed up and went through the 15min process of checking in on the app, only to find out there was no dolly. By then, there was no time to make any adjustment. Again, the staff seemed annoyed and not cognizant of the additional work caused, and the relatively little effort to be proactive and call when a reservation is not able to be fully complete. The response also included a disassociation from U-haul, saying they only let u-haul rent space in their parking lot, and they are not a dealer. Very disappointed with the staff and their representation of U-haul.
Irfan CCheck engine light on and drove rough. Getting the van out of the parking spot was difficult due to limited room. I would park the longer trucks in the front so there's room to move it. Lastly, I rented 2 dolly's for 20 extra. No dolly was in the truck bed. Check in/out was time consuming and hard to get support on the phone. Overall bad experience
JOSHUA MWas told on the uhaul website that I would only pay around $70 to pick up the uhaul. This location required a 60 mile hold, which, with insurance, took the price up to $170 dollars and that's with only the truck and insurance.
Carla SThe back of the truck was dirty. I rented a dolly that they did not put in the truck and I was charged for it. I also was charged twice and with a ton of extra mileage that is impossible for me to have put in the truck. I drove about 10 miles and they charged me for 60 miles.
SAM RI switched to this location after the rental at the first location was disgusting. The difference between this location and the first one was night and day. The van was new and very clean. The employees were friendly. It was a very smooth experience. I would highly recommend this location. I would not recommend the first location I booked. They didn't have the van I had reserved and then the truck they offered was in a terrible state. I think someone may have been living in it. There was a crusty pot with baked rice stuck on it, a cardboard box with pee on it and when I was trying to adjust the seat, my hand hit a dirty fork shoved under the seat. I noped out after that.

So U-Haul needs to talk to them and fix their attitude, Or I may not Rent from U-Haul again.!

ROBERT PClean out the vans. This van had collections of dirt in corners, a layer of dust all over all surfaces, sticky sections in cup holders. THe rubber mat was not in place and was too heavy for me to pull it back into place. There was dirt and small debris all over the floor of the cargo area. Is that all? No. one tire was underinflated, the window cleaner fluid was low. Was the bill correct? No. I was overcharged.
donna sThe van was not cleaned out from the prior renters. They left trash in the front and tons of moving blankets in the back that took up a lot of space. The back right tire pressure was over 20PSI lower than it should have been making me have to take it to fill it back up. The windshield washer fluid must have had a leak in the tank because I put my own personal washer fluid in and it did absolutely nothing. The windshield was covered in dirt making it hard to drive until I was able to clean it off myself. My last rental two months ago was so much better than this time.

AJ CEasy check-in on the app, good central location, plenty of trucks on hand. However my truck was filthy and full of garbage from prior users, was out of wiper fluid, had a tire low on air, and a broken windshield wiper. But staff were friendly and prompt, and the truck ran well, and I had only a brief job to do, so all good.
Steven HI signed up for mobile pickup, but I had to go in to the store anyways to get the keys. If mobile pickup is not available, then a message should be sent.

Andreas WI was going to get $50 for transporting a trailer to a new location. However, the truck that I was given did not have a working right turn signal so they would not let me transport the trailer, costing me the $50. I do not understand how I was allowed to drive a defective truck, especially since this company offers insurance on the truck when ordering. The truck should be in perfect working order before the next person picks it up. Also, I did not appreciate having to fill up the gas tank while I was driving at the beginning of the move because it did not have a full tank of gas in it. I would have strongly preferred having a full tank of gas and returning it with a full tank of gas. Getting it with about half a tank and then trying to figure out how much gas to put in to get it back to half of a tank is bad business practices because you are screwing the customer because more than likely, they will overfill the tank from what was originally given to them. Lastly, I did not like the fact the truck had no lock on the loading door. When I had to stop for gas, any random person could have went into the back of the loading area and stolen any item out of it when I paid inside/used the bathroom/loaded up the truck at the beginning/etc. Very poor experience in my opinion!
Michael DThis was the drop off location I chose and was confirmed the morning of my move. During the move, the drop off location was changed to somewhere 20+ minutes away. I was not aware of this and attempted to drop off the truck and was advised I could not because it was not in the system. I called the corporate number and was bounced around 5 times, each time after I explained the situation. Seemed no one wanted to deal with it. Finally, I talked with someone who was able to direct me to the right person who attempted to remedy the drop off location that was changed. She could not as it was not in her area and no one from the Columbus area was responding to her requests. So we agreed I would go back in and let them know I was on the phone with a Transportation Manager and they should accept the truck. They agreed after that statement. It took 35 minutes of calls to do something that should have taken 2 minutes. They drop off location change to me seemed like U-Haul wanted me to return a truck where they needed it versus where I needed to drop it off. The rest of the rental was fantastic and I appreciate how easy it was
PAUL KI only wish that the Victorian Village Market had a larger parking lot to fit the massive amount of U-Haul vehicles they get at this time of year! It's necessary for the staff and customers to double-park/stack vans and trucks due to limited space.

Rafael SIf You need a U-Haul truck. You really are out of luck. You get sent to whoever, that is not the problem with you huh? Your problem is with communication managers are on site and the staff always doesn't know what's going on..
ANTHONY MDidn't have the dolly I requested. Had no supplies/boxes to purchase. Was really just a parking lot and lock box to get the keys. Would have been better to identify this location as self-service only and no retail opportunities.

shyanna wRequiring people with out of state driver's licenses to jump through more hoops (by calling numerous other people for verification) to get a truck is unreasonable. This is for people who are MOVING. A lot of them are gonna be from out of state.
Timothy HPicking up was easy, when it came to drop off the location was full so they directed me to a different location. I asked before leaving if I'd be charged a relocation fee and they said no- once arriving at the 2nd uhaul location I learned I would be charged the $300 relocation fee and after being on hold for 30 minutes I was instructed to go to a THIRD location for drop off. Once there it took 20 minutes for the person to figure out what my drop off process was. Was genuinely the worst experience especially after a day of moving
Kaedyn AIt was the easiest experience that I have had with UHaul to date. My only suggestion would be to fill up the gas tank so you don't have to guess how much gas to replace. We were told to fill it up to where it was when we got it. Other than that, the vehicle that we ordered was there and we were out of there in a few minutes. I will use again.

Dawn KI was charged for gas even after filling the gas myself. I filled 5 gallons even though I was supposed to fill only 3 gallons, still was charged for the gas.
Aayush AUnit had the dolly, but NO pads. I turned the unit in in 7/22/24 per your instructions. The recipient refused to take the truck because he said it was due tomorrow. He still refused to take the truck. I left the keys on his counter and walked out. I purchased my lock from Uhaul and could not get it off the truck during heavy rain. The lock combo is RON.
Roland UThe truck I needed was not available at my time of pickup. Then there were no dolly carts available despite ordering one. There was no notice of either until I arrived for pickup. Overall, stressful and disappointing experience.

Danielle EYou charged us $60 for a ONE-WAY drive, when we had to DRIVE the vehicle home to pack and drive it back to Columbus, which only added an additional 34 miles to the trip…the 90 mile allowance was INSUFFICIENT to make it to Columbus as promised - and we informed the clerk/Owner of the 17 miles to Guysville/home to load and 17 miles back to Athens to get onto the Road to Columbus. I'm REALLY disappointed in the communication and the pricing of UHAUL…We've been LOYAL to you for over 40 years - NO MORE. Your equipment sounds like it's going to fall apart…your vehicle doesnt come with Cruise Control even though it is specifically designed for "long Hauls"… UHAUL! You've lost your edge and ALL of your advantage points.
