Value It was great! Great company and helpful employees. I am simply pissed off by uHaul lack of communications. I reserved a storage unit a month in advance and then, upon arrival, they didnt have any left. In the city or surrounding areas. That's ludicrous! And unprofessional. I was depending on that storage unit andit didn't happen. Then why do I need a uhaul truck? I didn't need it becAlyssa G.
We missed the fact that there would be a mobile drop-off procedure, which we would be required to complete before dropping off the key, as the drop-box only indicated to START the drop-off there. As such, we're sorry that we were not able to complete it accurately. I would strongly recommend a prominent sign in the vicinity of the dropbox that states that a customer should have COMPLETED the drop off procedure BEFORE dropping the key.Lydia R.
Hector turned an unfortunate situation into a positive one. The 10' truck I had rented hadn't been returned yet and was about two hours late. He offered us water and a comfortable place to sit. We waited about an hour before he got us into an alternate solution (a somewhat smaller cargo van) that worked out just fine instead. Hector kept us in the loop the whole time as he scrambled to get the problem taken care of. I highly recommend Hector's customer service instincts - thank you.Barry M.

The shocks on the truck were really bad and it was super bouncy the whole time. I was driving very slow and it would still bounce a lot. I had a different experience with other U-Haul trucks in the past so I know the this particular truck needs some repairs.Jhoalmo S.

as soon as i loaded up 10 foot truck , it shudders at stop sign , check engine light on and traction control on . i called for help , took for ever and was told , just drive nothing is wrong . very sad state of affairs at uhaul. i did have good experience in the past but not this oneJAI K.

Gas needs to be checked by the employees before handing over the keys to the truck. Records showed the gas was 7/8 full and it was closer to 3/4 full. And they tried to charge me for that.RYAN B.

Nothing! Well -- a quick tutorial about where the emergency lights are and how to disengage the emergency brake, etc. would have been nice, but these are pandemic times, so I understand the hands-off plan. Joe -- I think his name was -- was just fantastic and so was his assistant, a young woman with shoulder-length blond hair, whose name I didn't get. Joe was incredibly helpful and kind. They made the whole experience so good for me. (I was really nervous about driving in Boston, though I am a seasoned driver elsewhere!) It all went great!Kathrine D.

I had a really difficult time with the self checkout. Even with location tracking enabled on my phone, I was unable to pick up the car. I tried multiple apps but it took over 40 minutes for me to pick up the truck; only after a friend came with his phone and tried several internet applications. It was frustrating, and the location was closed due to it being January 1st. I ended up returning the car an hour later than I had planned because of it.Meghann L.

Personnel had any attitude, lack of customer service attitude. They didn't go over the details of the rental, wasn't professional. Most of all, they were not knowledgeable of the functionality of the truck, nor details of the vehicle was renting. In all, they didn't know how yo do their jobs. They gave me one quote and then changed the price when I picked up the truck. Terrible!!!! I had rented from budget before with no issues. Will never rent from uhaul again.Martha Z.

This location is absolutely horrible and should be shut down or lose their U-Haul contract. They are a poor representation of the U-Haul brand. During this critical time they aren't even follow COVID 19 protocol. They provided my family with a truck that hadn't even been cleaned since the last customer rented it. Their was a dirty mask and other items in the truck left behind from the previous renter. They then charged me for their negligence!Adilson B.

Since it's a third party company that works with U-Haul, the customer service was really bad. The guy at the desk didn't seem to care or help, And he was even a little bit rude. I specifically ordered a van, but when I arrived at the designated time I was told there are only trucks available.Ori B.

When I picked up my u-haul I was not informed about various issues and defects of the truck including the front bumper hanging on by duct tape, the driver's side door failing to close from time to time including while driving, and a chip in the window. If these issues had been brought to my attention I would not have driven the truck I received. Furthermore, the price estimate I received was four times that of what I received initially.Joshua G.

These people didn't know what they were doing, and ended up wasting a precious 4 hours of the day I was meant to pack up and leave town. Unacceptable how slowly they diagnosed their own issues. I had originally booked the Brighton Uhaul location and was moved to Allston without being asked my preference - stick with another branch, save your time.Eytan N.

I suggest to push a notification to notify the driver to return the car like 30 minutes/1 hour before the drop off time. Sometimes the customers just lose the sense of time. Also it would be better to notify the customer that the car can be picked up earlier than the scheduled time if it's available, since the price is calculated by mileage anyway. Also I'm a software engineer with strong math and robotics engineering, and is looking for a new job. If U-haul has a job opening to develop any AI car/truck/van share system, I'm glad to learn more.Yicong X.

The dolly and furniture pads ordered for the move were not provided in the truck (picking up before hours) like they were supposed to be. The mobile pick up was hilariously absurd with calling references at obscure early morning times on a Saturday. I was still charged for the equipment that I did not receive despite challenging it with UHaul online and calling customer service to remove it from my bill. Only get a UHaul during business hours - the service is annoying and mobile pick up is inconvenient. Unfortunately they are available everywhere so I sadly probably will use them in the future even though I don't want to.Eesha D.

100% a positive experience. The staff at Value Store-It were extremely nice. There was no line. The vehicle was ready for us when we got there and was basically brand new with a back up camera even. We were able to drop off after hours with a contactless drop off. We were really impressed.Tess M.

Pick up was easy enough but the moving pads I had rented weren't in the van and the business was closed so I couldn't ask for them. I also rented the van based on the fact that it said it could fit a studio apartment and it definitely doesn't. I had to make two trips which lead to me having to pay for more miles. Finally, how to drop off the keys wasn't clear on the app. I had to rack by brain to remember the code that was given to me in the beginning of the process when I picked up.Sarah L.
