The guy I picked the truck up from was super rude and had an attitude. I had to go to the store next door to get change cause they didn't have enough. Interior had sticky spills in the cup holders. They gave me a truck that was a quarter tank low on gas. The guy checking is in assured me the dolly I had rented was on the truck. The manager agreed and assured us it was on the truck. My husband opened the back to make sure and no dolly. The truck ran poorly. I can compliment Keith in reservations and scheduling in Spokane. Listen to what your customer wants! I was asked the same questions several times and my email was still recorded incorrectly so I did not receive my confirmation. Had to call a national number to get that corrected. When I checked in to pick up my truck, it had been reserved as a one-way to Moses Lake. I wanted a two way from Spokane Valley to Odessa and back. The help at this location was about average for the Uhaul experience. After renting dozens and dozens of times at several different locations throughout the decades it seems the employees are frustrated they are working at Uhaul. Uhaul could use a refresher course by implementing a training seminar monthly or bianually to keep customer service fresh in the minds of employees and vital to a thriving biz! Uhaul has the best deals when it comes to renting trucks, trailers and vehicles, everybody knows this, however by keeping the customer service levels at the highest quality possible, business could be even better!!JOHN H.

The man who set up the original reservation got so much wrong that i had to go to a different site to get it straightened out. One person at desk with people waiting and a slight lack of good explanation reslting in me walking around that huge b uilding in the heat for nothing. Nothing. Truck was there when we needed it. Brakes squeaked really loud and truck would jump around a lot when over 50 mph, but the attendant when we returned it hacked the engine and the oil was super low, so just an older vehicle. All who helped us were very courteous and kind.DAVID KARL A.

When I made a reservation for my storage I was never told anything very bad communication and it made my day bad!’I tried calling the number 509 922 4465 that’s what they told me to call if anymore questions!! Well I tried calling 3 times and each time was on hold for over a hour so I never got to ask my questions!! So I wanted to know if a king size mattress would fit in a 10ft truck and the cost and few other things!!I ended up getting a 15ft truck and had to drive all the way to the valley!! There are 4 u-haul locations on East Sprague street in Spokane and it took about 4 phone calls and physically going into the wrong location to figure out how to get my pods in a spot where it could be unloaded. And even then there was confusion and we weren't able to get the pods hooked up to a u-haul pickup so we had to rent a 20' u-haul and unload all of the pods into that truck and then unload of at the apartment. Was not a super bad experience but definitely not great, just because of the confusion around where my pods were actually stored and the people on the phone not knowing how I could get it unloadedBRADY L.

I have no idea if my stuff is in good condition yet because I dont have my stuff yet. I was told Uboxes were door to door delivery. That turned out to be false. I will have to find a way to transport my stuff from a facility that is an hour away from my new home. First, my 26 foot truck was cancelled four days before my scheduled move. I decided to stick with Uhaul despite this major inconvenience and use Uboxes. Those were delivered late and no one called to let me know. I found out because I called them. Then the truck driver was late picking them up. No one ever called me to let me know she would be late. I had scheduled my power to be shut off because we were moving out that day. My family spent the night with no beds and no electricity because our stuff was all packed up and ready to go. Your location needs to work on communication and being on time! The girl I spoke with on the phone was rude and treated me like the entire situation was my fault. It was extremely hard not to give her back the attitude she gave me. The truck driver was friendly and apologetic. That was it. No one else seemed to care that they were consistently lying and screwing up. A 2500 mile move is stressful enough without dealing with tardiness and poor customer service. My boxes were also five days late. I was told I would receive a partial refund. I'm still waiting. I'm also still trying to figure out how I am going to get my stuff. I should have went with one of the other companies that promised door to door delivery. You guys lied to me and made this the worst moving experience ever! Everyone at that location deserves a 0 star review except the truck driver. She couldn't control getting stuck in traffic. Someone could have called and let me know she wasn't coming though for sure! In fact, when I called the first time to confirm she was on the way, I was told she would be late. I didnt know she wasn't going to get my Uboxes that night until I called a second time to get an ETA. Y'all need to get it together!Celena W.

I made my reservation for a 8 foot bed pickup and car hauler a week prior to this review and the evening before I get a call saying that my reservation was unavailable. After 7 calls and 2.5 hours I finally got a 15 foot truck and car hauler reserved for the same time and date then when I go to get the truck I am told I was unable to rent due to a "intermediate license" that I still have due to COVID. After 2 hours I finally get the truck and go to my job and the ratchets on the car hauler are rusted and jammed and I had to fix those on site costing me more time and money. Overall nothing great from this experience and they break there own contract with me by attempting to keep me form renting a truck with a unrestricted government driver's license.Adam G.

I had to loop a safety chain to keep it from dragging. Your rep "counseled" me to "twist & Kink" the chain in the future. Your rep told be that the purpose of the safety chain was to keep the trailer straight while being towed. Clearly, your guy guy doesn't know the difference between a safety chain and a anti sway bar. I have several years experience building cargo pallets & using chains to secure cargo & vehicles inside aircraft. A kinked/twisted chain has less strength.MICHAEL B.

My reservation was moved twice due to availability apparently. The website should not allow you to rent from a site if they don't have the inventory. I had also ordered some other supplies when I reserved the truck online. When I went to pick up the trailer, I was told that because I hadn't paid for them at that specific pick up location, I would have to pay for them again and figure it out with UHaul to get reimbursed for what I had already paid. The employee who was working at the time we picked up our trailer was pretty rude and not helpful or sympathetic to the frustration of the situation.MICHELLE ELAINE B.

I will no longer use UHaul after my experience working with the Spokane office. They have overall very poor customer service, do not do a good job at explaining the process and you get differing answers depending on who you talk to. They failed to mention that besides it taking two weeks to ship your boxes, they can spend and addition week+ sitting at their facility waiting for the shipping order to be placed and for the boxes to be picked up. If you ask to speak to a manager your basically shamed into feeling bad for doing so (staff member listed off health issues their supervisor was going through and the list of calls she already had to make ahead of mine). They also never apologize for their mistakes and instead just act like it's not their problem. I was so beyond disappointed in my experience. After spending just under $6000, I think customers deserve better.Alexandria G.

There is an issue that needs looked in to. There is a sign saying that masks need to be worn to enter the building by law. When I walked in wearing my mask, another customer was wearing their's but not the employee. When I came to drop it off, it was a different employee and same scenario. All huge access doors were broken and made unhauling very inconvenient. There was only one man operating the front when a huge line of help was needed. My paid for movers (mind you hired through your uhaul services) had to wait 30 mins to do their job that I paid them to do because of the inconvenience of all the large doors being closed off.. When I needed assistance with the doors I was unable to receive help as there was a 30 min wait to get assistance from the 1 man doing everything by himself. Then when asked if he could open up the larger automatic door he left snd never came back. I lost out of 30 mins I paid my movers for due to trying to figure out how I was going to haul things inside with 3 other large trucks trying to haul at the same time as us.Tori S. | First Impressions

The truck and price were great. The staff was rude and impatient both and pick up and delivery. When I purchased boxes about a month ago at the Uhaul near Sullivan, the staff there went above and beyond. Very helpful friendly. Your employee was not professional, made me wait while he filled his mop bucket and walked it to the bathrooms. Clearly my business was unimportant to you. He did not wear a mask ever while during pickup or drop off even though I could clearly see the boxes of gloves and masks on the counter next to computer. The vehicle was marked as a higher gas position then actual and even though through your app I noted this and the marks on the truck I was still over charged for the gas and mileage. I was put next to someone who I guess works out of theirs, or something. Literally lines the walk way with their stuff, cant get a cart through. Why they were not put at the end of the row so they can use the corner and hall with the book end, where there are doors, and its the far corner no one uses it, except me to go around to get access. I don't know. I had to have an employee get me a cart from them as they were using it sit stuff on a record players, and when asked just moved it to a milk crate. Rate this storage facility at U-City POOR. The Staff was nice and tried to be helpful but they were not trained in the U-Haul system to move in customers. It took a lot of phone calls to their Manager Adam to figure out how to admit us. We had to wait 3 hours for our pre-reserved storage unit. When we finally were in the system and signed the contracts and got our access code to the storage facility, the entire system was down and we could not get in. More phone calls to the Manager Adam. It took another hour to get access. By this time we were tired and still had an entire Truck to unload. We did not know the storage units were under ground and have to use an elevator to get to it. This is so messed up. By this time it is after hours. We even tried to see if we could get another storage facility somewhere else, but all of the other places were closed by this time and it is Saturday night. No places are open on Sunday. So we endured the torture of unloading the truck and using a small dolly provide by U-Haul to get all of our stuff moved in. This took way to long. And to top it all off, when we were done which was late into the night, the security system went down again and we could not get out of this facility. Phone calls to U-Haul go unanswered. You cannot get a live person and their emergency call button did not work. Their secure garage doors to get out are 20 feet high. Luckily we had a ladder that we put in storage and was able to use it to climb up and pull the latch release so we could lift the door to get out. I do not see how U-Haul thinks these storage units are going to work with only 2 bays to drive into and then move/haul in an elevator underground. It takes 3 times as long to move in and IF their system goes down you are either locked out and worse, locked in and cannot get out. If I would have known this facility was set up this way we would have paid for storage elsewhere. I can see why they are advertising one month free. We will be moving out ASAP...after we get rested up. This is the worst moving experience we have ever had. And to find out this facility has only been open for a couple days and no training for the employees, plus a poor system with a lot of bugs to work out. This is not how this was advertised on line.
