Our original reservation location wasn’t available (the person before us needed a time extension), so the location was changed to this one. It would have been nice if we could have returned it to the original location from our reservation without an additional cost, since it was not our choice to change locations.

The code access isn't user friendly and I had to input it several times. Tried to gain access to drive the truck inside and it wouldn't recognize my code. Another couple trying to get in couldn't access either. It was way after the time that the the doors should have been accessible.

They were very helpful when I picked up the trailer and quickly processed my request even though they were having problems with their computer system. On drop off they were just closing up and took the time to check me in. I was very pleased with the staff at this location.

I don't like the simple fact that I have to go up in elevator then down Hella far to other side of the building. It sucked and after moving m u whole house plus the hrs I work don't go with the hrs the gates are open and the hall ways should be lettered to help u find ur way better

First truck didn’t start. Second truck didn’t have any gas. And the damage pictures looked like they were from a completely different vehicle and I was not provided with a complete set of photos the side of the truck that had graffiti on it was “conveniently” missing from the photos provided to me. We were inconvenienced by the broken truck and lack of gas and were promised over the phone from U-Haul customer service an additional half day because of lost time and also credit for extra gas. These two small things would’ve made us whole, and this review would be completely different if your manager didn’t have a superiority complex. The manager refused to reimburse us for the gas telling me “it’s up to me if you get a half day, not them “. She kept telling me I was getting a “free day “, I received no such thing when it cost me a half day of work because it took extra time to check out having to go through two trucks and needing to stop for gas before we could even get to our destination and then running out of gas in the middle of the trip which necessitated walking back-and-forth with gas to fill the truck so we can get it to the station. Instead of being able to finish the work, and return the truck the same day, I had to take an additional half day away from work because we ran out of time the first day with the three delays. Under no circumstances, should U-Haul be sending out empty trucks if they are going to have a policy that they don’t give money back for gas. I was instructed to put $80 of my OWN money worth of gas into a truck that was given to me empty even though I knew I would only spend $20-$25. I put $20 in the tank and ended up running out because it was empty when I got it. This would never happen if you sent the truck out with a minimum of a quarter tank of gas. I’m trying to conserve money, so I’m not giving U-Haul free gas but I have no way of gauging how much gas there is in the tank if it’s handed to me at empty. There is absolutely NO excuse for this. I was told if I had put $80 in the truck then she would’ve given me my money back. Even though I could demonstrate through a combination of mileage and gas receipts that I was owed money. Then she had the nerve to comment on why I had so many charges for gas and that was because I had to go back-and-forth between the truck and the gas station in order to put enough gas in it to get it to the point that I could get it to a gas station. Because U-Haul does not give credit for gas I was trying to conserve how much money I put in the tank so I wouldn’t leave extra gas. U-Haul is irresponsibly putting customers in this position where we either have to dance around empty or we have to pay for gas that U-Haul should be putting in the truck before we pick it up. This is After also dealing with a situation where U-Haul insurance ADMITTED FAULT, but refused to cover the damage that they did to my vehicle when they didn’t properly attach the ball to my car and which necessitated my taking you to court over it. The service standards, contractual agreements, and quality of equipment has gone downhill in the last 10 years. I should not have to FUND your business in order to rent a truck from you. If I don’t take your ridiculously priced insurance, even though my insurance will cover damage to one of your trucks, you will take all of the damage money out of my account immediately which should be illegal before determining fault, but when you damage MY vehicle, I have to fight you for the money even when I paid you for your in-house overpriced insurance policy. U-Haul either doesn’t care or doesn’t bother to look at the opinions of them from customers because the Baltimore Sun wrote an entire article about how your fuel policy is a big rip off. There are multiple Reddit threads talking about what a rip off U-Haul‘s fuel policy is. And I can’t even get a truck with gas in it. PUT GAS IN YOUR TRUCKS AND MAKE SURE THEY WORK BEFORE YOU SEND THEM OUT. ZERO EXCUSES. THIS IS BASIC COST OF DOING BUSINESS.

I stood in line for over 30 minutes to return a truck. It seems very inefficient for the person working the counter to also have to help in the lot when you have people waiting in line. Not impressed and would be open to discussing my experience with someone who cares.

Scheduling and pickup were great. Everything arrived in good condition. The container actually arrived weeks earlier than scheduled. Only problem was that I could not get it delivered earlier than scheduled, even though it was waiting in U-Haul storage. That’s my only critique. Other than that I thought everything was great from pickup to delivery.

As a business, I have rented trucks many times, personally and business-wise, from U-haul and other companies as recent as a few months before this engagement. The system's service and "needs" for this location, which is right next door and convenient to pick up from, has left me to seek future need fulfillment with other vendors to receive better customer service and treatment. I may use U-Haul again in the future. However, it will not be this location, despite being the building next door.

So, I don’t remember the young lady that helped me. But for context, I was on site to pick up a truck reserved for and by my sister, as she moved to Montana Wednesday. I was set to bring her belongings over on the weekend. I came in, requested the vehicle from the reservation, was immediately asked where my sister was, and how was the truck being paid for. I told the attendant she had moved ahead of us, and did provide her payment method for me. Of which, the attendant promptly decline to process the transaction. She was curt, but not rude. I opted to pay my self, to which she told me I needed to be the contract holder. Not a big deal. Just wanted to thank you for being cognizant and considerate of my sisters personal information. You guys did great.

My drop off location changed 3 times, I was lied to about reimbursement, then after dropping off at the directed location at the agreed upon time I was contacted again to find out if I had dropped the truck off 2 days after it had been dropped off. Still no reimbursement and 4 hours of wasted time. Will not be using uhaul again.

The truck I rented was out of gas, on E. The employee stated if I return the truck with a quarter tank of gas I would receive a credit towards my bill at $5.00 a gallon a quarter tank of gas is for the 26ft truck is 15 gallons. I returned the truck with a little less than half a tank and only received $6 and change when I should have received $75

I had a pick up date on my dashboard for Friday Dec 29th. It was not picked up because I didn't confirm it on the phone. This is a nice safety feature but if there is a date stated, then there shouldn't need to be confirmation. This in turn delayed my box from being picked up and was delayed pick up until Jan 3rd.

Everyone at Ucity gives great Customer Service! I couldn't have asked for a better experience, not just there, but with Uhaul overall. I had so many changes because of many issues that were happening in my life, and the folks at Uhaul, from start to finish, were kind, unerstanding, friendly, professional and efficient. The moving help from Max Import Distribution was stellar!!! These are the reasons I've used Uhaul for 40 years. Thanks to all your employees for helping through a very difficult transition.

The drop off process from phoenix, az was smooth and no problems. But, the issues occurred once we moved to Spokane, WA. The PODS were dropped off fine. We had requested them to be picked up on the next day several weeks in advance. And then come the pick up day no one showed up. We had to call and they said our pick up date was not confirmed: we had called in to confirm payment and drop off so we aren't sure how that was NOT confirmed. Then, rescheduled us for the following day. The following day came and they called the night before and said there driver called out sick before a holiday. Which is understandable. But, you only have one POD driver for the entire city? That seems problematic. So, they scheduled us for a pick up on Monday, which was a New years. And the driver was not working. At that point, we called the corporate office to sort this out. All they did was transfer us back to the Spokane branch. We finally talked to an Alyssa and she was the nicest person to talk to. She was very frustrated for us and issued us a credit back from all the missed pick up days. My overall comment would be to think about hiring more drivers to avoid angry customers like myself.

When I first got there I realized I needed a bigger storage. The staff help me get into a bigger unit. Unfortunately the bigger unit that they gave me still had locks from the previous owner. Very very pleased with the service and cleanliness of facility. They were very patient with me in explaining how everything worked and move in went very smoothly. Prices are affordable, location is convenient. However the manager that did my rental agreement I felt was treating me and talking down to me as if I was a homeless person because I was wearing a backpack. And then when it came to accessing my storage unit no one had explained where to go, just gave me a map. I would try to resolve but the issue being with manager would be futile.

This is kind of an unfair rating due to the fact that the 1-800 number for U-Haul gave us a gentleman who had made guarantees that are actually not available, for example we had specifically asked for 24 hour access. We're told we could get 24-hour access which is why we thought the price was so high for the unit in the first place and come to find out not one single U-Haul location in the entire state of Washington offers 24-hour access even though it's advertised. This was very very upsetting, and it put us in a difficult position for almost two full days, missing work, not being able to actually work a couple employees for their help moving in because we didn't actually have a unit to use due to it being"after hours", and right in the middle of moving we had to drive a fully loaded truck back to the house we're moving from, unpack it due to a very high theft rate in the area, just to have to repack it again the next day and as you can imagine this was very inconvenient and cost us quite a bit out of pocket expenses, however the general manager tried to smooth things over with us by giving us a full month of rent free through the storage unit. We were able to go to a different location where that manager had absolutely no problem whatsoever helping us get a unit even though there was a price difference she did not charge us the extra amount and she was even willing to refund the original price of the insurance that we had purchased and had us purchase a cheaper insurance policy to save us some money at this particular location was the only location that was open past 7:00 p.m. in our city so maybe not the best of all circumstances but they did the best they could to make up for the inconvenience of mistakes that were made by the 1-800 number people. Sometimes it seems like the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing and it becomes very frustrating and confusing for customers. But this particular facility is very very well maintained it's very clean they're very direct and very clear about the rules and regulations there as well as trying to get you going as quickly as possible and they are very friendly they're strict but they're friendly. Jess, she was clear straight to the point, and fast. The other young lady that was working there was cleaning the vehicles that were coming in quickly and efficiently and always had a smile on her face. I will definitely be coming back here if I do ever need storage, moving supplies, or a rental. Also, I love the fact that nit only dulo you get an access code but an individual code that you provide to arm and disarm your individual unit. Extra security and state of the art security monitoring.

Twice I had to move storage units due to maintenance, the last time I was forced to move to a different facility along with everyone on the 2nd floor at the Airway Heights facility. It was a huge inconvenience, though they did move my stuff at no charge to mitigate the problem. I moved out and hope to never have reason to use their services again.I don't at all agree with no pro-rate, so I had to wait til the day before rent was due to move out.

Your customer service sucks, get people that speak English and can read a ledger. I was told I could pay at another uhaul and I couldn’t. When I had used a Uhaul truck you didn’t tell me that the deposit I paid when getting the van doesn’t go toward what is owed when turning truck back in. But over all at the end yes I would definitely say I had a much better relationship with the staff.

I went online to schedule a unit 4 days prior before stepping by into their office. When I get there I pay and am offered a 10 by 5 by 10 unit number 1339. Excited the unit will be conveniently on the first floor I was extremely excited. I grab the paper work and walk around back, I find said unit and low and behold the unit has two round locks on the doors. I wonder around till I find an intercom for help and iform the staff as my impression was the locks would be left inside the unit. He comes all the way over to the unit from the office desk counter with a lader. And a girl scrubbing the floor with long brown hair informed him that, the unit had been uptained by an ex employee who tried to give themselves a free year without permission and that they had been fired. I asked if, because I'm not moving out right away if I could come back in a week to have this unit when it is cleared out. As it would be inconvenient to now have to travel upstairs. They told me there wasn't anything that we could do. He takes me up the elevator and tries to offer me a unit with the same dimensions but with a small door. I need a bigger door. So he ended up placing me in a unit all the way in the back 1228 or something to that extent. So Now ai am on the second floor all the way in that back. Despite a 4 day wait prior to this experience. I took extra time to investigate on this trip. And I was a bit frustrated that this was my first interpretation of this facility.

We were very frustrated that the guy helping us was very cold and unfriendly. Also, any time we needed help, we had to wait a fairly long time to speak to anyone. Another frustration was when we moved out, they had just charged us 70 just about a week before that and we got no credit for the 3 weeks left of what we paid for. It's really sad because the facility itself is very clean and secure, but the way we were treated would make me not recommend it to anyone.

I went there with a car load of stuff to store , got into building ok, loaded up the carts provided with the things in my car found my unit finally with a lock already on it as though someone already was using it so I called the 1-800 number due to the fact that you were already closed after hours and that lady had no idea what to do she was so not helpful in any which way or form she had no idea what to do in any which way the only thing she did do was sit on the phone with me the whole time while I tried to figure out what the heck a lock was already doing on my storage number anyways I'm going to figure that all out today when I go into the office during office hours see if we can get fixed.

i got there 20 min before closing. went thru the whole ordeal of getting a unit, only to have to re do the entire process all over again. apparently, someone was training and was in the wrong screen or something i don't know, I'm just a paying customer. Any way, got done and went to go enter the unit, put in my code, and my access denied. got in touch with the manager as she was walking out the door to finally go home, and she went back in for a few, came back out and said,. "give it a couple minutes” it should work now. waited for 15 min. went to try to enter, and access denied again. As of right now, I have yet to get access to my unit. guess ill try again tomorrow....

Adam was really wonderful to us and really helpful in such a stressful move he made the end of it come together for us by taking our truck and trailer in at his location he really may have saved our lives because there was a heavy snowstorm and I dont think we could have made it through with the truck. The stress was so intense that when he told us we could leave the truck with him for no extra charge i got tears in my eyes because we really did everything we could to get the truck back safe and the last part of unloading was the hardest for us with two tiny babies and a toddler . It felt like he was the best one that could have been there for us, truly a great person all together . Thank you Adam

There was a VERY loud alarm going off in the facility that started after we were partially done unloading our things into our unit. Another person was there doing the same when we arrived and he stated that it happens all the time and that he asked that day if the employees could do anything about it. They told him that they couldn’t. Honestly, my husband and I discussed purchasing ear plugs for when we have to go to the unit because we’re concerned about damage to our hearing with that kind of alarm blaring in a metal and concrete building. It was a horrible and stressful experience, and I’ve never had that kind of thing happen at an indoor storage facility. Why aren’t staff trained on how to disarm the alarm?

Only issue we ran into was accessing the unit through a door other than the loading bays. There are no specific instructions at those doors as to how to what you need to enter to gain access using them. When we moved out the loading bays were full and we had to maneuver around another customers items in order to exit the bay door with ours. We tried to exit through the other three doors but were unsuccessful.

When I made a reservation for my storage I was never told anything very bad communication and it made my day bad!’I tried calling the number 509 922 4465 that’s what they told me to call if anymore questions!! Well I tried calling 3 times and each time was on hold for over a hour so I never got to ask my questions!! So I wanted to know if a king size mattress would fit in a 10ft truck and the cost and few other things!!I ended up getting a 15ft truck and had to drive all the way to the valley!! So this put me way behind in my schedule cause I had people helping move and then it made them mad!!

Do to the California and west coast refugees fleeing the socialist states it's put a strain on all moving companies vehicle and trailers availability but it's very sad that all these companies doubledate or more their rental rates to gouge the American people so much and profit at a super stressful time in our lives not sure about everyone else but I'll remember it..

All huge access doors were broken and made unhauling very inconvenient. There was only one man operating the front when a huge line of help was needed. My paid for movers (mind you hired through your uhaul services) had to wait 30 mins to do their job that I paid them to do because of the inconvenience of all the large doors being closed off.. When I needed assistance with the doors I was unable to receive help as there was a 30 min wait to get assistance from the 1 man doing everything by himself. Then when asked if he could open up the larger automatic door he left snd never came back. I lost out of 30 mins I paid my movers for due to trying to figure out how I was going to haul things inside with 3 other large trucks trying to haul at the same time as us.

My move in went very smoothly! The availability of rolling carts & the Mattress cart were so very helpful! The entire process was just as the U-Haul staff had described. I highly recommend this facility for all! The U-Haul truck was very clean & operayed efficiently. I was put next to someone who I guess works out of theirs, or something. Literally lines the walk way with their stuff, cant get a cart through. Why they were not put at the end of the row so they can use the corner and hall with the book end, where there are doors, and its the far corner no one uses it, except me to go around to get access. I don't know. I had to have an employee get me a cart from them as they were using it sit stuff on a record players, and when asked just moved it to a milk crate. Just lazy people who didn't want to return a cart for everyone.

This place is not ready for move in construction Equipment and people all over the place blocking the doors to get in my first month was supposed to be free I’ve paid for it the manager said it would be returned to me I still have not seen that when telling the manager we couldn’t find the storage place we had to ask construction workers how to get there and telling him that construction equipment was blocking the way he said yeah it’s challenging right now very dissatisfied with the service would not recommend this place to anyone don’t think that it’s ready for move-in

Rate this storage facility at U-City POOR. The Staff was nice and tried to be helpful but they were not trained in the U-Haul system to move in customers. It took a lot of phone calls to their Manager Adam to figure out how to admit us. We had to wait 3 hours for our pre-reserved storage unit. When we finally were in the system and signed the contracts and got our access code to the storage facility, the entire system was down and we could not get in. More phone calls to the Manager Adam. It took another hour to get access. By this time we were tired and still had an entire Truck to unload. We did not know the storage units were under ground and have to use an elevator to get to it. This is so messed up. By this time it is after hours. We even tried to see if we could get another storage facility somewhere else, but all of the other places were closed by this time and it is Saturday night. No places are open on Sunday. So we endured the torture of unloading the truck and using a small dolly provide by U-Haul to get all of our stuff moved in. This took way to long. And to top it all off, when we were done which was late into the night, the security system went down again and we could not get out of this facility. Phone calls to U-Haul go unanswered. You cannot get a live person and their emergency call button did not work. Their secure garage doors to get out are 20 feet high. Luckily we had a ladder that we put in storage and was able to use it to climb up and pull the latch release so we could lift the door to get out. I do not see how U-Haul thinks these storage units are going to work with only 2 bays to drive into and then move/haul in an elevator underground. It takes 3 times as long to move in and IF their system goes down you are either locked out and worse, locked in and cannot get out. If I would have known this facility was set up this way we would have paid for storage elsewhere. I can see why they are advertising one month free. We will be moving out ASAP...after we get rested up. This is the worst moving experience we have ever had. And to find out this facility has only been open for a couple days and no training for the employees, plus a poor system with a lot of bugs to work out. This is not how this was advertised on line. We do not recommend this Storage Facility.
