Well with UHAUL in general I never received copies or some kind of verification of the 5 different chat conversations I had. Then at the location they wanted to charge me $100.00 per day . I told them I went thru chat and was told to only bring in the$ 40.00 per day. Everytime I paid cash the next day the man would claim I hadn't. The person I paid in afternoon verified that but the fact I couldn't even though I demanded a receipt was ridiculous. Then trying to get someone who knew much of anything was a joke. I believe this location is scamming customers out of their hard earned cash during a pandemic which is even worse. I now have no choice but to report it to upper management/supervisor and the BBB. They even charged card under account when I paid them cash ...OUTRAGEOUS as a single mom of 5 I refuse to deal with thieves at this location.

The person I dealt with when I first came in was nice, but at first didn't want to rent me the trailer I always get. I had to insist in order to get it. He was polite and did accommodate me however. When I dropped it off, the young lady I dealt with was very nice and friendly.

This rental experience was very quick and efficient. I made my reservation on-line while standing in line at the store, and the trailer was ready and waiting for me! The gal at the counter took me to the trailer and hooked it up to our Ford Escape. It was such a quick and smooth experience!!! I don't know how it could have been better!

The truck and dolly worked well for our needs. However, U-Haul‘s service level and policies are unsatisfactory. I checked out a truck at about 7:30 AM Saturday morning. I returned it by 7:17 PM on the same day. For some reason, on perhaps the busiest day of the week for a movers, this U-Haul location closes at 7 PM. I tried to follow instructions and use their app to check in my vehicle after hours but the app would not perform as it would not identify its own location. So I locked up the vehicle and put the keys in the box. If I had waited to turn it in the next morning while they were open, I would have had to have waited until 9 AM for when they opened. That would have put me past my 24 hour rental period. Long story short, I was charged $21.78 for an “After Hours Service Fee”. That's unacceptable.

The truck was covered in snow. The brake lights were covered with ice and snow. I had to clean the snow off before moving my expensive furniture in it. The gas tank had an air lock that wouldn't allow me to put gas in it. I tried to different gas stations. The guy that received my truck was an idiot. He was slow and dumb af. Do not use U-Haul ever.

Reserved 2 weeks prior to pick up going from Yakima to Las Vegas one way. 6 days before called local Yakima office to confirm truck would be there and on hold for 16 minutes until I hung up. Called 4 days prior and guy picked up, then put me on hold for 12 minutes until I hung up. Was called 24 hrs prior to scheduled pick up and told I would need to drive to Spokane. I was not happy as I had a schedule to keep to leave town. Spokane is four hours away. It was a nine hour round-trip. I do understand that the truck may be in another city however calling to confirm with my local office and never getting through, and then being notified only 24 hours prior to pick up that I would have to get a ride to Spokane to pick it up and return home was more than inconvenient. Had I known 3-4 days prior, I could have made much better arrangements to pick up truck.

Upon return only one clerk on duty. Had to disconnect and park trailer myself as got tire of waiting for someone after 10 minutes. Service was good upon pickup, dropoff was terrible. Further, I was charged for insurance I did not request. Staffing is always an issue with U Haul from my experience. Reflects poorly on the organization. Will look elsewhere in the future.

Have a truck available at the location originally chosen. I booked 7 weeks early and the day before was called to say I had to drive to another town to pickup. It was 14 miles one way. Original location was 2 and a half miles from me.

Uhaul barley made it uphill, gas cap was off didn't see it until I got to the job, got there at 710am to pick up the truck and had to wait till 745 cause he had to count his till! Why not count it before you open then said i had to be back by 1145 to drop off the truck but really when you rent a uhaul u get it for 24 hours this uhaul was a joke won't go back there unless they are last ones w a 26ft truck

Explained to the drop off clerk about the jerking and shaking. She seemed to care less and just unhinged trailer and asked how I wanted my receipt. Very unhelpful.

Disappointed at the distace i had to travel to return trailer, when there was 9 within the city. I had the trailer long enough for the compny to shuffle and .ame room at a close return place. I think i will try budget rental next time, as i move every 13 week to a new hospital.

Another bad experience with uhaul. We were supposed to drop the uhaul off in Post Falls Idaho. But we're called the night before we left that it was being changed to Spokane valley. This was 45 miles out of our way. We also had a free storage unit RESERVED in Coure d Alene Idaho. However when we arrived at the Cour d Alene location we were told there was no storage units available. We were suppose to have a storage unit that we could easily drive up to and unload. The lady there said there were no storage units available. How can that be when we had a reservation! So we continued on our drive to Spokane to drop off the truck and trailer. When we arrived at that location we were given a storage unit that was down in the basement all the way to the back of the building. We had to load all of our belongings onto push carts and go down the elevator. Which was about 50 yards back and forth from our truck to the storage unit in the basement. Our whole experience with uhaul was been a complete nightmare. It should have taken us 45 minutes to unload the truck ended up taking 3 hours. Now when it comes time to move our items out of the unit we have to repeat the whole process. Plus we have to drive all the way to Priest River ID where we live which is over 100 miles one way. If we were to have been given our original unit in Cour d lene it would have been half that far. P.S. Where this whole fiasco with uhaul started was when we had an appointment to have a hitch put on our car. We originally wanted to pull a trailer. However the night before our appt we were told there are no hitches available. So this caused us to spend more money because we had to rent a truck and auto transport. At this point uhaul has dropped the ball on every aspect of our move and we are not happy customers.

I had to call to reserve a trailer because I was driving and needed it for an emergency breakdown of a motorcycle. The hold time was 13 minutes and too long.

There should be some incentive for people that do not keep your delivery system & container for extended periods of time. Once my container arrived I made arrangements for me to go and empty the storage unit at the site it didn't take me more than 20 minutes. I did not tie up your equipment. Tony at the site was a big help I'm getting everything prepared for me to access. Thank you.

The employee on duty when I picked up the trailer was very impersonal. He asked for my name before I ever got to the counter as I went through the COVID maze to get to the counter. As I approached, he never made eye contact and then walked out the door to hook up the trailer and I wasn't sure if I should follow. The entire visit I was thinking that he should not be in customer service. He would make a better mechanic for U Haul.

Young lady was very nice only thing is that she didn't inspect the truck fully she just checked the gas to make sure it's full it's kind of disconcerting even though we were honest and all the blankets were in the truck dollies were there it was no full interaction real quick check the gauge and your receipt is in your email

Improve your customer service over the phone. I had to wait on hold for at least 15 min everytime I called and often had to be transferred multiple times before anyone could even help me.

I did mobile drop off which took enough time and when dropping off keys to box, the attendant was rude and insisted that I had to bring the truck through to be checked. I explained that I had done mobile drop off and he said "You can just go." Dude was a real asshole.

Pick up was great. The person who helped me was professional and wore a mask. When I dropped off the truck, it was a different experience. The man who came to stick his face in the truck was NOT wearing a mask, and when I asked him to wear one (since I wear a mask to protect those with whom I come into contact, and I believe it is a form of Russian Roulette when someone I come into contact with won't wear a mask), he smugly said, "I have anxiety, I can't wear a mask" - that is a bullcrap answer. He also refused to stand far enough away from me to allow me to safely exit the truck without being exposed to all the germs he may have been exposed to since he refuses to wear a mask. He was obviously making a stand, and that is his right, but not when I am a paying customer. I should not have to be subjected to your employees who will not wear masks or follow distancing protocols if they "can't". I will never use your location again because there are plenty to choose from, and I do rent trucks from time to time, and I don't want to argue with someone about whether I want to be exposed to all their previous exposures since he obviously does not take a life threatening highly contagious disease seriously. And I am immune compromised, as is my husband. Your location does not care enough about it's customers to make sure the people in your facility either don't come in contact with the public, or wear a mask and practice safe distance protocols.

I highly recommend this facility for all! The U-Haul truck was very clean & operayed efficiently. I was put next to someone who I guess works out of theirs, or something. Literally lines the walk way with their stuff, cant get a cart through. Why they were not put at the end of the row so they can use the corner and hall with the book end, where there are doors, and its the far corner no one uses it, except me to go around to get access. I don't know. I had to have an employee get me a cart from them as they were using it sit stuff on a record players, and when asked just moved it to a milk crate. Just lazy people who didn't want to return a cart for everyone.

This place is not ready for move in construction Equipment and people all over the place blocking the doors to get in my first month was supposed to be free I’ve paid for it the manager said it would be returned to me I still have not seen that when telling the manager we couldn’t find the storage place we had to ask construction workers how to get there and telling him that construction equipment was blocking the way he said yeah it’s challenging right now very dissatisfied with the service would not recommend this place to anyone don’t think that it’s ready for move-in

Rate this storage facility at U-City POOR. The Staff was nice and tried to be helpful but they were not trained in the U-Haul system to move in customers. It took a lot of phone calls to their Manager Adam to figure out how to admit us. We had to wait 3 hours for our pre-reserved storage unit. When we finally were in the system and signed the contracts and got our access code to the storage facility, the entire system was down and we could not get in. More phone calls to the Manager Adam. It took another hour to get access. By this time we were tired and still had an entire Truck to unload. We did not know the storage units were under ground and have to use an elevator to get to it. This is so messed up. By this time it is after hours. We even tried to see if we could get another storage facility somewhere else, but all of the other places were closed by this time and it is Saturday night. No places are open on Sunday. So we endured the torture of unloading the truck and using a small dolly provide by U-Haul to get all of our stuff moved in. This took way to long. And to top it all off, when we were done which was late into the night, the security system went down again and we could not get out of this facility. Phone calls to U-Haul go unanswered. You cannot get a live person and their emergency call button did not work. Their secure garage doors to get out are 20 feet high. Luckily we had a ladder that we put in storage and was able to use it to climb up and pull the latch release so we could lift the door to get out. I do not see how U-Haul thinks these storage units are going to work with only 2 bays to drive into and then move/haul in an elevator underground. It takes 3 times as long to move in and IF their system goes down you are either locked out and worse, locked in and cannot get out. If I would have known this facility was set up this way we would have paid for storage elsewhere. I can see why they are advertising one month free. We will be moving out ASAP...after we get rested up. This is the worst moving experience we have ever had. And to find out this facility has only been open for a couple days and no training for the employees, plus a poor system with a lot of bugs to work out. This is not how this was advertised on line. We do not recommend this Storage Facility.
