This location is either understaffed or there is something terribly wrong with how customers are served. It took 40 minutes for me to get my trailer, even though I checked in online and had everything done prior to arrival. It was the same story when I returned my equipment. Took almost 30 minutes of waiting to get my trailer returned. Even customers that are only buying moving supplies had to wait too long to just pay for some boxes.

The U-Haul Center in North Medford was excellent. However, the U Haul location on South Valley View Road in Ashland was horrible. I stopped by the Ashland location in person on Wednesday October 21st to make a reservation. The location was closed and a hand written note on the door said to call 482-2788. This was in the middle of a Wednesday afternoon. I called the number and the man told me to call back in the morning. He did not offer to call me back. The responsibility to call back was to be mine. I called Thursday morning as directed and he told me he was busy and to call him back in 5 minutes. Again, the responsibility to call back was placed upon me. He did not offer to take my number and call me back. I called back after 6 or 7 minutes and my call went to voice mail. however, the mail box was full and I couldn't leave a message. I called back again after another wait of 5 to 6 minutes and got a message again that the mail box was full and i couldn't leave a message. I wondered how any business could remain in business after treating a possible customer with such awful disrespect. No one at 482 2788 offered to call me back, return my call or answer the phone. If I ran my business with this type of utter disregard to a possible customer, I would be out of business in less than a month. it was irresponsible, rude, inept and inexcusable. I will never use U-Haul again and recommend to anyone who asks to find another business - preferably one who treats their customers with basic respect.

Have more phone in support. I was unable to reach anyone without significant wait time. Online pick-up did not work and online return was confusing and also did not work correctly. Not impressed with U Haul at all this time. I have used in the past with better service. Will not plan to use again.

Guy at counter was awesome. Above and beyond Just don't know why every uhaul location is way understaff like this one was. I know minimum wage is a killer to an owner but need to have ample staff to do the job

I reserved a truck online, but the location did not do what was necessary for me to just pick up my truck without waiting in line.

My truck was not available when I arrived to pick it up. I had scheduled a truck almost a week in advance and when I tried to pick up my truck, there was no 26' truck for me to rent. I was on a limited time frame and did not have 6 hours to wait around for a smaller truck. But that's what I had to do. I pre-ordered a dozen blankets. I got 9 dirty blankets. They still had leaves falling out of them while I was trying to wrap my delicate antique desk. The cabin filter smelled like a campfire when I turned on the air conditioning. Not to mention, I had to go into a store several times and was subject to the employees of the store indicted up my truck at were cussing and quite rude to several people. I purposefully chose the 24/7 pickup because we are experiencing a global pandemic. I should not have been given keys to a dirty truck by any person. I pre-ordered 2 dollies. They were not available. The truck was not cleaned. There was dog nose prints on the windshield that were not visible until the sun hit them and almost made it unbearable to drive through the rogue Valley.

My husband and I reserved our 26 ft uhaul a month and half in advance. Two days before pickup they told us they only had a 20 ft with a trailer. All of our stuff didn't fit and we were very disappointed. Moved from Medford, OR to Springfield, OR.

When I walked in and stood waiting at the counter to be served, I was barely acknowledged. I think charges of $53 for returning the truck without replenishing the 1/4 tank of gas I started with would have been exorbitant. I do appreciate that the man checking me in advised of this and gave me the opportunity to go replenish the gas before turning in the truck.

It was so busy that I don't think the customer service was up to par. There was a huge line and I wasn't given all the information that I needed and ended up being charged for something that wasn't discussed, but after calling customer service it was refunded and the process and customer service was pleasant. Thank you.

When I was dropping the equipment off, your employee was incredibly rude and short with me. He offered no information and was very uninviting. Maybe he was having a bad day, but he was taking his feelings out on customers, which is simply not okay.

First time renting a U-Haul, was an easy task to do, I thought there'd be more hoops to jump through, only took about 15 minutes and we walked off with a key to a truck.

I'm not as cell-phone savvy as many people, and didn't like that even though I was there in person, there was a ton of things I had to do on my phone while I stood in front of the clerk (that I didn't know how to do) in order to get checked in. Nearly zero human interaction, even though I was RIGHT THERE! While I waited in line for the single clerk on duty, various employees wandered by seemingly aimlessly.

The online app needs some IT software improvement. After we entered photos of the driver and both sides of my driver's license the UHaul app locked up during the enter a second contact page. So we needed to enter the building and finish at the counter. TIP SUGGESTION. Just have an IPad terminal inside the building. Tell customers to fill out the UHaul app prompts. When necessary data is captured, the customer waits until the customer service rep call up customer. No matter what, using the app or not, the customer still has to finish the deal at the counter to obtain the key. Seems silly the staff at the counter uses a cellphone and the UHaul app.Make the whole check in process more like checking in at the airport using a kiosk terminal. As the former IT Director for a city in Oregon I'd give your UHaul app a D, it's not ready for customer use.

The fuel reading was inaccurate. Staff claimed the tank was about 7/8 full when it was closer to only a 1/2. Return was a little disorganized. Was instructed to leave the truck in the return bay with the keys in it and it a receipt would be emailed. Didn't like that.

This was a great experience I reserved the 5x9 trailer on line and i was in and out of the UHAUL in 15min it was amazing. The man at the Medford location was quick, effecient and very nice.

The supplies and equipment available are the best in the area. The personnel helping with my reservation were very knowledgeable and (mostly) helpful. I was reserved a truck that was dirty on the outside, to the point that I asked the service rep to wash it off (particularly the windshield) prior to driving it off. I was also very disturbed by the fact that the service rep (who granted was managing a busy store), stated that it's typical for customers to load their own vehicles onto the car dollys AND attach all of the chains/wires. I've never done this before and was worried about doing it wrong, which could have horrible consequences on a cross-country drive (accidents, grass fires, etc). The attendant ultimately guided me onto the dolly and then attached all of the chains/wires for me. If this is U-Haul policy to have customers do this themselves, I am very disappointed.

I was told the wrong drop off date and the facility where I dropped off the truck wanted to charge me for another day of rental. The truck I was given first had a large transmission fluid leak. Fortunately I noticed it before I left and was able to switch trucks, but it should have been taken off the list until it was fixed. It was a large easily noticeable leak.

Where do I begin. Ordered over a week in advance. Was confirmed 3 times. Then told morning of pick up that enclosed trailer wasn't available and offered a very small one. Ended up with a bigger trailer not enclosed. Same price less of a trailer with low sides. Was told by a rental employee that his pay scale didn't allow him to go above and beyond his efforts to look into why a trailer wasn't available. Unbelievable! What a nightmare! I have used I haul several times and many years. Never again. What a shit show that day for other customers as well. Super dissapointed!

You guys are a hot freaking mess. Every single step I took to move from ordering Uboxes to getting Moving Help on either side of the move was fraught with stress and chaos and confusion. I spent hours on the phone with different Uhaul locations, Uhaul main line, the Ubox line, and the moving Help line and each one had different requirements. While you're cheaper than most, it's not worth spending all my time on the phone trying to organize something simple.

The windshield was covered sooo covered with bugs I had to stop within a mile to clean it. And when I tried to tell the employees upon return they were nasty to me and couldn't care less.

I went to my assigned location which was LCM Window Tinting 1078 Court St #105, Medford, OR 97501 and when I got there, they said their system was down and that they could not rent me a truck. They gave me zero notice, zero communication and their only offer was to send me to the 2410 N Pacific Hwy location. When I arrived there, Gary at the N Pac Hwy location helped me tremendously. He had said the LCM location had been repeatedly turning away customers left and right for various reasons and sending customers to his location to be sorted out. Gary went out of his way to locate a truck for me, even to the point of sending his crew to another location to get a truck for me. He went above and beyond, was incredibly professional despite his frustration of what sounds like an ongoing problem, and he was patient and kind. I was not pleased at all with the service I received at the original location assigned to me, and was so grateful for Gary's expert assistance. It's people like him that keep things in motion in an already stress-riddled scenario like moving and securing your belongings. He deserves a raise! :)

The only thing I had an issue with was getting parking in front of storage units, as a disabled veteran I think parking across the parking lot to get a few things out was a hassle/difficult. You should have one or two spots there specific for loading and unloading storage units infront of units. But all your U-Haul are taking all the parking. OR look into ADA accommodating people with disabilities

Parking was impossible. The reservation had to be redone on 3 separate occasions. Twice in one day within a few hours. The first reservation could not be found. It took almost 40 minutes to check in, I was charged first months rent when it was supposed to be free. The associated could not reverse the charges. We were late for moving help coming at 2pm even though we showed up 45 minutes early. There was a dead mouse in one of the units.
