Maria B.Very difficult location and exit strategy is needed due to heavy traffic. Bringing back the trailer was simple due to strategy but it still required me to drive 2.6 miles around the block to be in the right lane of entry. Picking up at 8am was a nightmare for traffic and for this U-Haul location. They were overwhelmed and under staffed and very angry at whatever occurred before I got there. Rigs were parked everywhere. There was no parking for customers. There was people trapped, trying to get out of the storage due to vehicles left from the night before blocking the exits of the storage. My appointment was not attended to until after 8:56am. This caused issues for me the rest of the day.

jeanna S.While we were able to complete our move, the experience this time wasn't good. The cargo van we received had a back rear door sensor broken, so the entire time I was driving I was getting a message on the dashboard panel that the back rear door was open. I went inside to tell someone this, and he told me that they knew the sensor was broken and not to worry about it. When I'm in an unfamiliar vehicle, this is unsettling, especially when I have a cargo van full of personal items. The sensor is there to tell you if you didn't close the door properly, and if it's always on, there's no way to know if it's secure or not, or if another door is potentially open. I understand everyone is very busy, and when someone who works there sees this sensor or hears about it multiple times, it can be easy just to say that Uhaul knows about it and not to worry about it and then continue to the next customer. However, for the one time that I'll be using that particular van, getting used to everything about it that is different than driving my car, it made me uneasy the whole weekend I rented it. The cab of the van was also very dirty - there were grease stains from food on anything you would touch in the van (steering wheel, radio controls, cupholder area, seats, etc), but the app would only let me upload one picture of them but I needed multiple pictures close up to capture the extent of the grime. This was the only remaining cargo van that day, so despite the sensor issue and then cleanliness, I couldn't really do much about it except buy some wipes, clean the van, and finish moving. Maybe this experience wasn't standard of this particular location, but I probably won't be going back to find out.

John D.All went well except for doing the mobile pick up you have to scan a QR code and every time I tried it said my phone didn't have memory to support it but they were nice enough to see that was the case with me when I went inside and they were able to wave my tax fees which is the benefit of using the mobile pickup and drop off unfortunately no one was there when I did the drop off and had to do the exact same thing only this time it was taking a picture of the mileage and my phone did not apparently have the memory for that so I had to do it the other way and pay the extra fee all in all got the move done successfully so it worked out

Jorge Luis G.This is a busy store so expect to wait 15 to 20 min per customer ahead of you. Best time to go is at the opening hour or after 2, certainly not at lunch hours. I did not use the UHaul app to reserve my vehicle but that would have worked. The staff are helpful and thorough, the Cargo Van I rented worked perfectly. It's gas mileage was about 16 MPG, mostly freeway.

William M.Better app design, it was a little bit of an inconvenience to not just be able to click "ready to pick-up" on the pending orders screen and half the time I had to reload and try again to properly fill out information. Also the pictures couldn't read my ID, which is ok, but I didn't clearly see an option to enter the info manually initially so that would've been nice.

Greg S.The dolly came out of the holder it was never secured from previous use, I didn't notice until we drove off, I didn't use it I have my own nicer one, I figured I'd get charged for it which I did, and I also got charged for the blankets which I never touched. I figured it was my fault for not catching it on the inspection but the back was locked on pick up so wet didn't open it till we got to the house. Anyway not a huge deal but need to watch that

Monica F.So we rented a van and a appliances dolly. Moving a washer and dryer we needed to be able to wheel the dolly into the truck. When we did we found that the dolly was taller then the inside of the truck. Would have been helpful to know that the dolly wouldn't fit inside standing up. So I informed them. They're also was a problem about the back door saying it was open. So i was worried about it the whole time. That it could fly open or that uhaul would charge us for it. To find out apon drop off that this van has been doing that. Maybe let customers know these things before they drive off with it. I did not have the best experience this time. Wish we would have been recommended the bigger vehicle being as we were using a appliance dolly. Just miss the mark a bit there guys.

Melissa T.This is not a customer service issue. The single complaint I have is the dolly and the blankets that are strategically put into place on the vehicle was a pain in the ass. I had to adjust my whole loading and created more of an issue then I really needed to deal with at the time of my move. When I go on line I chose the exact equipment I needed (no more or less). Created an addition transportation of my items in my personal vehicle not to mention the additional trips and fuel to complete my move. Keep it simple or ensure this is notated some where and is made known prior to renting.

We unfortunately lost something important. We realize we are responsible for getting everything out, but oversights do happen and it is unfortunate there was no attempt to reach out to us either by email or phone message. Customer service/ kindness is invaluable.

I moved out to a smaller less expensive unit elsewhere. The maintenance on the trucks is my biggest issue. Truck used to move in had a radiator leak and over heated during use. The truck used to move out dropped the drivetrain while driving on the freeway. Scary experience!! They dropped all charges but didn't pay for the Lyft I had to order or the miles I had to walk in the cold, pouring rain to get off the fwy.

Otherwise, I know they are doing their best in spite of a shortage of coverage. I felt bad because they were always running and overwhelmed and THAT IS NOT RIGHT. We are human beings, and no amount of money makes up for stress, injury, working away from family for overtime. I have been a patron since the establishment was built, and it is where I go when I need trucks or storage. I pray you get more help.

To get unit discussed I arrived to find unit being given to different customer. It was only unit of that size. Employee said “nothing could be done about it and I could go elsewhere miles away” in the end I had to purchase a smaller unit which will be difficult to fit all the property into.

I paid a lot of money and my stuff would have been safer if I left it on a street corner. Will never use this storage facility again and am telling all of my friends not to use it either.

It appeared that mice came in through two different holes in the unit and left urine and feces all over, as well as a few dead mice. I know for certain I did not have any perishable items that would cause this issue. It was all furniture and appliances. I would not recommend this location for your storage needs, I basically paid to have my items pooped on- gross! Now I'm in the process of making an insurance claim, just a big inconvenience overall.

You would most likely Make Money this way while eliminating the current issue of being dbl charged for over flowing dumpsters. That same plan outline would work for electricity use and or access to even if only on a monthy basis. Sometimes the only spare time I have to get something out, in, or clean my storage unit is after dark and having had both an inside and outside unit I would have Gladly Paid to rent electricity so I could plug ina light to see wth I'm doing. Please consider these requests....

When asked about the free lock, because it says on the website multiple times - free lock with a rental. He could not handle the customer service and said, No! That is not how we do it here. When we got to the unit. There was a lock inside. He scooped it up. I said again. The website says there is a lock included. Again. He said no. We do not give out locks. From my experience it your website states something, you honor it.

General manager was over and beyond great through when we found out my storage was over ran with rats. I had to throw away just about everything that was store in there. Some of it being very sentimental unreplaceable belongings.

I was told it was great security but twice I have gone to the storage unit and the entrance gate is wide open and then when I got to the door to enter my section of storage I didn’t have to scan my card because the door was open both times. I didn’t feel very secure. I do have a lock on my unit of course but I was told everything was going to be shut and you had to use your card to enter the gate and then into the door

Locksmith was gonna cost more than the 165 I paid a month. Luckily we found a way to cut it off. No thanks to uhaul. So instead of continuing with uhaul I emptied and left. Only positive thing was the refund. Will I use uhaul again for storage....NO!

terry S. | First ImpressionsI rented the space in the morning and returned with a small utility trailer full of belongings. The outside doors to the indoor storage spaces were open and unlocked, not secure. The space I rented was not the size advertised. Supposed to be 5’x10’ and was actually 3.5’x10’ with a raised area across the 10’ width of half of the total space of the floor looking like a bench, which greatly minimized the floor space. In addition, when we opened the door to the space, a large piece of ceiling sheetrock fell down from the ceiling, barely missing my head. Again, a large open space in the ceiling, not secure. Not acceptable. Also, there were steep stairs to the second floor, no elevator, which was very inconvenient. There were no other units available so we ended up taking our trailer full of stuff to Public Storage facility. Luckily we found a space at the last minute and we were able to move our load into that space that evening. The staff are all great and manager Cody is wonderful. He really helped me with an early appointment to have a hitch installed on my Highlander. And, I rented the storage, with the first month free. I appreciate everything they did to help and they were super busy but took the time to fully assist all their customers. Our area is under various levels of evacuation orders due to wildfires and we are all trying to safeguard at least some of our precious belongings. Cody and the staff are working extra hard to help people and I don’t think that the condition of their storage adequately reflects their good works. The storage facility seems to be in poor condition and needs renovation including an elevator so that it meets ADA building standards for public access.

The equipment performed perfectly and was a good ride and fun to drive. The assistance at the distant end was amazing considering it was a Saturday and everyone was checking equipment in and out. I got a storage unit that was perfect for was we needed, however, the access is limited to daytime hours as the door was not set up for the card access. I haven't used u-Haul in a few years but distinctly feel there is grand improvement in personnel, equipment and service.

The reason they wouldn't get 5 stars is because the reservation system is not functional. I reserved one large and one medium unit a month before or 1000 mile cross border move. When I called to verify a week before the move, they had no record of my reservation even though I had been given a number. So I reserved again and to my dismay we were contacted during the 40 hour trip to say thre was no large unit. Both times I was left to feel I had done something wrong, though I had talked to multiple people and left a credit card number. We had to reschedule our movers and fortunately we had been given extra days in Canada on our 26' truck. We found storage at another facility in the city and unloaded three days after the original plan.

They've been gentle and understanding to those of us that have lost our sources of income and are unable to pay our storage dues. I stayed in contact and gave them updates on my situation and each time my news was met with kindness. Mentally & emotionally this has been a rough time for soooo many reasons but I appreciate the U-haul staff for making it a little less stressful.

A gap exists in adjacent units where the rollup door is at the front of the unit. The stolen items were all in reach to steal. Filing a complaint with corporate was denied. No camera existed on the isle my storage unit was. Very disappointed and lost some sentimental expensive items.
