I am disappointed. While you made everything quick and easy, you have completely eliminated the customer from the process. I did not know until later, until you emailed me, what you actually charged me. And their were mistakes. And they were all in your favor. Surprise! I expect they always are. I drove a little over 11 miles. 165692 when I departed, and a little over 165704 when I returned. The truck I drove only had mileage to the mile, not to the tenth of a mile, like my bill had. The last mile you charged me for was put on by your staff, not me. Pretty sure the gas gauge on the truck I drove had no markings to the 16th of a gallon, unlike my paperwork says. And, your website says to expect around 10 miles to the gallon for the truck I rented. And yet, you charged me for 2 gallons of gas, which means you over charged me 100%, or the truck I drove only got 5 miles to the gallon. Neither is appealing. Yes, I know these are tiny infractions, but if you are rounding up, always in favor of U-Haul, for every customer, you are making lots of unearned money. I was hoping to give you a great review, like the last one, I gave to Highline Custom Auto Tint, but you fell a bit short of acceptable. I look forward to hearing from you.GREGORY SCOTT B.

The location was very busy. When I drove in, I was very hastily and aggressively waived to go around the vehicle he was helping, with no further direction about what to do. After waiting for about 10 min, the same guy told me to go over near the exit. Very frustrated at this point, I said â€œwhere?â€, returning the same curt tone I received from the man directing me. He told me to do the same thing as another person returning a trailer, who backed it into a spot near the exit. After jockeying around traffic trying to exit, I finally managed to back my trailer into a spot. The guy finally came over, said hello, and told me I did a good job, that he had already checked me in and sent me an email receipt. Had I rented trailers frequently, and knew the drill, it would have been fine. Since I do not, and already feel nervous about backing a trailer, I found this interaction fairly unpleasant. I do appreciate, however that this man showed up for work in a time when most businesses are short handed, and seemed to handle his job in an efficient manner. I just wish he would have taken another few seconds to offer more information and have a little better bedside manner. While I wouldn't highly recommend this location to a friend, I would probably tell them about my experience and cut my customer service person some slack because he was obviously extremely busy.Holly B.
The person at the counter was rude to me and asked that I stand outside in the rain simply because I don't wear masks. And the lot attendant who hooked up my trailer to my vehicle questioned my wife the following day when she drop the trailer off as to why the trailer was hooked up the way it was and was extremely rude to my wife. She was unable to back it up exactly how he wanted it and he yelled at her and refused to help her until he was so frustrated with her inability to back it up my wife thank Tim I said have a nice day and he didn't even respond. Mobile pickup is terrible to use, there was no skipping the line at this location to get our keys afterwards. Everything advertises 24/7 drop off but when we took the van at 6pm to drop it off, I was told by an employee that I had to do it before closing.Ashly H.
Before I say anything I'd like to explain that my wife and I are both Latino and grew up in a Latino household. So we're fully aware of the culture. The Latino man who helped us was very rude, even by Latino culture standards. He gave my wife instructions to give to me (I was in the office looking for help), on where to park the trailer. We did so, and he ran over screaming at her â€œI told you to stick close to the White House, and did you so it? No you didn't did you?â€ So I did my best to fix it. We understand he must be a very busy guy, on a schedule, and it stinks to work on a Sunday. None of that is our fault. My wife and I both work in customer service, and have for the past 10+ years, and we would never talk down to a customer that way. Not once did either of us give him any reason to act so rudely. I arrived before this location opened to return a truck and car trailer. I attempted to talk to one of the truck cleaners ('Sabino'), who was very rude and confrontational. This 'Sabino' barked at me when I asked when the store opened, then because I moved the truck out of the street and parked in the pull-thru lane (the drop off lane was blocked with other returns and the employee had not bothered to clear this path, he also barked at me as I took pictures of the truck to verify its condition, cleanliness, and gas gauge level, and again when I closed the driver door to walk past it. He then loudly and in an accusatory manner attempted to claim that I was short 12 moving blankets and that I owed $7+ each for them. I went to the back of the truck and climbed onto the back step to count the blankets. This employee, who saw me climb up to count the blankets, then went to the cab, put it in drive and drove across the parking lot with me hanging off the back of the truck. This employee is a major detriment to the U-Haul brand if they are allowed to interact with customers. As a life long satisfied customer of U-Haul, I do not expect to get treated like that by an employee of U-Haul, even if they are tired of stupid questions from us. All the other U Haul employees have always been very friendly and helpful at every other facility I have ever visited. I was very angered and disappointed by this experience at the end of what was already a very fatiguing experience due to the poor mechanical condition of the trucks steering/suspension.KERRY ALVIN S.

Do not require customers to photo and upload their driver's license. This is a severe security risk. It is one thing to enter a customer's name and driver's license number. But when you have a photo of our signatures and pictures, you expose both the customers and your company to a severe security risk. Identify theft is hard to stop. When your company puts ID information online, you drastically increase your network to be hacked. Getting into your network and downloading hundreds of thousands of photo ID's would be a big target for thieves. Please stop this practice ASAP !DANIEL A.

The truck had a slow leak in one of the tires. We had to make multiple stops every 75 to 100 miles to put additional air into the tire to keep the pressure up. When I returned the truck and told them there was no consideration for the extra time and effort it caused me on my trip. Reservations mean nothing and the customer service was some of the poorest we've ever experienced at any business. Ahead of our out-of-state move, we made a reservation at this location for two large storage units. We received email notification that those units had been reserved for us. However, when we arrived at this location to sign documents and unload our two enormous moving trucks - with a moving crew we were paying for - we were met with a rude awakening. The guy at the counter was overly chatty and slow as molasses. It took him half an hour to get to the part where he let us know they only had one large unit available for us, despite our reservation for two. We were dumbfounded. Instead of finding a reasonable solution, the counter person told us that making a reservation online doesn't actually mean they have anything available. Not an acceptable answer when we've traveled multiple states and have been counting on the product we reserved with the confirmation we'd received. When a manager was finally brought over to review the situation he confirmed that they did not have the two units we reserved, only one. Furthermore, he adjusted our price to remove, yes REMOVE, promotional discounts that we had received online. When asked if they could make a deal for multiple smaller units to make up for the lack of unit that was reserved, we were told that was not possible. We would have to pay full price for each and every unit, with no promotions provided. This all happened while the manager and employee knew I was on the phone with their competitor, who is literally a mile and a half straight down the same road, to check on availability of the same sized units we had reserved through U-Haul. Rather than make any effort to keep our business or pretend they cared about our time, money or the predicament we'd been put in, they nonchalantly as if we "just want to cancel." This location did not deliver on any level of professionalism. Moreover, this whole process wasted our time and money with the moving crew we'd employed, who stood idle while the U-Haul team pecked at the computer keys and stared blankly at the screen and whom we had to pay for the wasted time at U-Haul and the drive to the new location. The attendant was gruff, and accusatory about the prior damage to the vehicle (I used the uhaul photo app to show that it was in that condition when I received it). Additionally, the "fuel estimation" on the contract was WAY off. I ended up putting in way more fuel than i needed to. Probably cost me an additional $20+. I suggest you ballpark your fuel estimate lower than uhaul does at the tank, and just add more if it's not enough.ANDREW F.

We rented a climate-controlled unit here for several years and encountered no problems. Staff was helpful, and automated check-in/check-out worked well. We have only one minor complaint: some trash (coffee cups) accumulated near our unit (which was right next to one of the doors). Do not store your belongings here. There is a very rude employee that drives at very fast speeds through there with large uhaul trucks and honks at anyone parked there even though there are no parking spots he expects you to get out of his way. Hes going to run someone over! He was alsorude to me in the store parking lot in front and forced me to park at a private business across the street that clearly has signs that say "No parking violators will be towed". I also waited in line in the store for about an hour just to check in only to have the guy that was helping me start helping someone else before he handed me the keys. He then told me to wait. I waited for him to finish. Meanwhile the everyone else that was behind me in line was helped by the next available employee. Then they promised to waive a day off the truck rental for breakdown but didn't and did not put any notes so customer service is refusing to adjust the bill stating that there isn't any notes. How is that my fault? On top of all this the truck was not ready and we spent an hour and half on hold trying to locate one then had to drive another hour and half to go pick it up. I dropped a rental truck at this location as well as renting a storage unit. The process with the storage unit went well and there were no issues. I however have an issue with the rental return. I picked up a 15 foot truck in Medford Oregon on Saturday June 27th. When I picked up the truck it was very low on gas and I asked the attendance what is the process for fueling. I was told to return the truck with the same amount of gas as when I picked it up. I returned the truck with the exact amount of gas to the Beaverton location but then last night got a bill for $54 in fuel charges. I called the store and was told they will look into it. I am not sure why I was charged for fuel when I returned it exactly the same amount of fuel as I picked it up with. I think this is taking advantage of customers and a sneaky way to get some additional money from the customer. I will certainly dispute this charge if a credit is not give to my account.
