Please have a signage to approach any attendant for those who have checked-in online. I know it's part of the instructions to skip the line but I felt it would be rude since other people might not know about that. Or have the attendants actively ask the people on line if any of them have done online pickup (24/7).
Frederick Cas mentioned in previous comments, there was a problem with the trailer's lighting when picking up in Federal Way, here was my comments "unfortunately, it was the only 5' x 8' trailer available and the left rear taillight was not working. The gentleman helping me got right on it, trying a variety of things, at some point saying it was my wiring (that I paid a Uhaul Pro in Portland (on 99) to install based on their expertise) that had a problem and that that wiring, installed under my Toyota Highlander 2022 Hybrid, were prone to corrosion (which no one at any time had informed me of-and why would that be the system installed on any vehicle, let alone one in the Pacific NW with more than it's fair share of moisture/rain - ie corrossion accelerator). It was only through more research was it noted that potentially it wasn't necessarily the faulty corroding wiring (but still was informed it was a problem), but that there was something wrong with the signal light itself. It took just over an hour, maybe 1.5 hours for them to get working/replaced. They did advise I should get the wiring looked at back in Portland. We returned the trailer last night, after hours, tried to enter the problem in the check out app, but it wouldn't give me option to continue with noting 'yes' there was a problem, and trying to note what that was. So I entered as no problem, but called back this morning to let the Uhaul in Beaverton Tualatin road know there might be a problem and they should check it out. I also shared with them the problem of my wiring and they said they would take care of it, just call and set up a time for Jacob, the Pro there to take care of it." I felt that the process of checking the trailer in afterhours was easy enough, although could not say 'yes' there was something wrong with the trailer lights and enter comments, so I just said not and called back today. We look forward to seeing about Jacob looking at/fixing/ the wiring.

MARIUS BTell the truth in reference on your U-Haul vs. Our own insurance. When I wasted money Money I could have used on òther bills. Moving is full of surprise expenses.

CARLOS AThe lines can be long while you wait for the actual conversation with a rental specialist but I can understand that there are peak times of the work day for customers needing to rent vehicles or actually showing up a couple of days later to drive away with their piece of equipment. If there are "non-peak" times as well, the office manager doesn't want to have 5-6 employers just waiting for the phones to ring or a new customer to walk through the front door. I don't know how you can find a good solution to these long lines.

LEONARD OThe inside of the truck I was given had a high level of film on the window that made it VERY hard to see when the sun shown through it. I mentioned it to the attendant, but I got the feeling that wasn't a high priority. Very hard to see out of the front window at times.

Kelly RThis is the second time I have rented a van from this UHAUL location in the past 3 months. Employees are efficient, friendly and helpful. The entire process was streamlined. The APP helps. I would definitely rent from this location in the future.
KAREN MMy experience picking up the truck was not positive. My reservation said I could "skip the line" and when I tried, it didn't seem like the employees knew about this process. I had to walk back and forth from the back where the truck was to the office several times because the truck didn't include the items I'd reserved. It then took time to locate those items such as blankets, hand truck, furniture dolly, etc. I spent way too much time at check in overall and was trying to get going because we were moving. All that said, upon dropping the truck off a couple of days early, I was glad it wasn't busy and the guys inside were very friendly and helpful. ¡Gracias!

TINA LThe staff was terrible. One girl was so afraid to answer anything, 15 min in to the transaction ahead of me, the girl was literally just standing there for long periods of time. Unsure what to do. Unable to answer. The customer finally left. I had to go outside and ask employees to stop visiting so they could help me. It took 25 min for me to pick up me reserved van. Incredibly poorly trained and poorly managed staff.
RACHAEL SI liked that they had a lot of vehicles to rent in stock. I didn't like the customer service, very poor service. Not friendly at all and not very good communication. Also hidden fees that were not explained. Called the store next day about extra fee they tried to charge my account, they didn't answer, got transferred to customer service, lady that answered was super rude and not helpful. Said she sent a message to the location to call me back. Never heard anything back since.

NIAMARIE TThe location did not have enough staff to hand out keys. Even though I went through the online check-in, I still had to wait for 25 minutes to pick up the keys. Once I had the keys, the truck had a strong smell of marihuana, but since I was running late I did not have time to swap the truck. When returning the truck later that day, a very rude employee accused me of transporting marihuana and said I was responsible for the smell. Thankfully another employee intervened. Other issues: - I requested a dolly in my reservation. There was one dolly in the truck that I ended up not using. The employee said that there should have been another dolly in the truck and accused me of stealing it. I was still charged $7 for a dolly I did not get or use. - same rude employee was yelling because I was not doing the online return fast enough.
Juan Cthere was alot of confusion around the drop off location. no one there would take the time to understand my complex return that u haul was trying to get me to do. Thankfully one of the operators was able to clear all this up.
Travis WThe technician who did the hitch installation was wonderful. He was working the counter as well as doing installation and was very friendly, professional, and helpful even with being busy and dealing with appt times.

BRET SI think that there should be a requirement for a picture before and after the pickup of the U-Haul and the equipment. Especially for what is inside of the Unit. Because getting charged for 2 Dollies when you only got 1, but you know you brought the one back, is quite frustrating.

DENNIS AMake sure you take pictures of your equipment and the inside. Not that it makes a difference, they will charge you for anything they can like a cleaning fee even though the inside was spotless.

Steven FThe worn pavement markings (not allowing the old markings to show through the black paint) has caused the return area to become somewhat chaotic. It seems like regulars know where to drop trailers, and to pull their trucks forward. But a lot of equipment was kinda left wherever because the markings don't really encourage proper drop-off. Also the staff seem pretty overworked. But it's great that this location has so much inventory.
BRYAN CThe equipment was clean and the service people/workers were excellent, so I'm not marking anything down on here, for their sake and yes, the truck was very clean but, it does need to be serviced. The tires locked up and turned right while driving on the Ross Island bridge and almost killed me, my son and my partner. Please just service the vehicle so that doesn't happen to anyone else

KWANG CNot sure who checked us in this morning but he was there by himself and there were numerous people waiting to check in. He was professional, polite and had 2 check ins going at a time. What a great employee!

MARK MYou unfairly charged me $25 for cleaning. This I'd outrageous because there might be a paper were fallen that we didn't pay attention yo it. But to charge $25 this is not fair and give renters mistrust of your company! Hope you can wave this charge!?
ALI Huhaul is a company that makes majority of its earnings off its extra fees, was quoted like 19 for my truck and was significantly more. i don't feel like uhaul is a brand represented by any kind of authenticity, my experience was really strange and so was the service. guy behind counter just trying way too hard to be friendly that it comes off bizarre, so many things needed of me that weren't told to me on the phone when i asked, just a nuisance. i wouldn't come here again, corporate entities kill the soul and uhaul is greedy to say the least. also please pay your workers more because they all look like they're crying for help

ANA TSystem was down and wait time to pick up the truck was long. When I picked up the truck, the check engine light was on. I was only going less than 20 miles and didn't have time so I just took the truck anyway. After I returned the truck, I was overcharged by over $500. The return date and mileage was incorrect. I'm now in process of disputing the charge and expect to be fully refunded for the overcharge. Overall, a very poor customer experience.
Ron SMy installer gave me the impression he didn't want to be working that day. First he said I didn't have a reserved time (until I pointed out the my name on his schedule) Then he said this was a two person job and he was the only one doing it but he would try. Then he said he would have to cut off part of my bumper. In the end the job took less than 90 minutes and he did not have to remove a part of the bumper.

SCOTT MI have rented at this location many times and am sorry to say the staff has gone down hill bad I picked up an auto transport the lady that checked it out was on her cellphone and was more interested looking for a vet for her dog then helping me. Than when I returned the trailer the man just stood the and said some thing in as Spanish accents I said excuse me then he said it again I said you want me to unhook the trailer ?? he just stood there so I unhooked the trailer then he said ok I think and walked off so I left. I did get an emailed receipt but I think it wrong it shows 4 days and I had it 3 days I am so disappointed !!
DONALD HVehicle was nearly out of gas so I was advised to fill gas on my way out to ensure I could even arrive at my destination. Vehicle was parked up against a wall, a bollard, and another vehicle so I could not assess any damage before driving away. Equipment I paid to rent (furniture dolly) was not present, staff had to tell me they were out of furniture dollies. Upon returning vehicle, I was charged $120 for a utility dolly that I had returned. I had to drive back to the location to get the charge reversed. I would never recommend this location to anyone and I don't know that I'll ever use U-Haul again. This was too much of a headache.

KITTY AThe rental truck was dirty (filthy windshield), steering was rickety and sketchy, and when I returned several new and unneeded boxes the boy at the counter struggled for several minutes to use a refund so I finally gave up and left.

It would have been really nice to be able to access my storage unit after hours. I hope that for future customers this feature can be restored at some point.

Here are the issues I encountered: Parking Difficulties: Parking at this facility is incredibly challenging. There isn't enough customer parking up front, and on multiple occasions, I had to park three blocks away. This added considerable time to my trips and made the whole process much more stressful. Blocked Access to Unit: Accessing my storage unit often required exiting the facility and re-entering through the main store. This was because a U-Haul truck frequently blocked my unit, and I needed assistance to move it. I had to wait in line inside the store to get help, further delaying my plans. Unresponsive Employees: The employees at this location were generally unresponsive. On several occasions, I struggled to get the help I needed. This added to the frustration and length of each visit. Unresponsive Phone Line: Calling this location for assistance was not an option. The phone line always auto-forwarded to a call center, which was unable to address my immediate needs. This meant I had to physically drive to the facility, exit, and re-enter multiple times just to get help. Special Hours Access Confusion: The special hours access beyond 7 pm was not clearly communicated in the U-Haul app. I was unaware that I needed to pay extra for this service, which caused additional planning stress and limited my access. Inaccessible Exit Door: On my last few days of accessing the unit, the exit door was not clearly labeled as inaccessible due to fresh concrete being laid. There was no signage to indicate this, nor was it clear how to exit through the entrance, which is frequently trafficked by returning U-Haul trucks. This created a confusing and potentially hazardous situation. Overall, my experience with this U-Haul location was disappointing. The combination of difficult parking, obstructed access, unresponsive employees, unhelpful phone service, unclear special hours policies, and poorly managed exit routes made using this facility far more cumbersome than it should have been. I hope management can address these issues to improve the experience for future customers.

He waited until I shut down, and was walking inside before he told me I had parked in the wrong spot and had to go move. He couldn't be bothered to walk over to me and direct me as I drove up. Only one person working the desk, less than ideal, lots of people waiting. After getting my storage unit, and being told explicitly "you must swipe in and out every time going through the gate" On my way out, That same outside worker had just opened the gate and told me to leave without swiping out. I said "The other guy, and that sign above your head both say I HAVE to swipe in and out every time" He rolled his eyes at me and walked away. Not sure if he was ignorant or malicious.

On numerous occasions over the past few years there have been some select employees outside that have almost downright started physical confrontations, after yelling at both my wife and me - treating us as if we are idiots and we're doing something wrong by accessing our roll-up storage unit. Your team may struggle with issues with other tenants, But that does not mean you need to take out your aggression on every other good, well-paying tenant, who use storage services that they pay for as intended. How your fleet management interferes with access to the storage is unacceptable, and not a reason to bark orders at people trying to go about their day. The staff inside at the counter are always reasonably pleasant, and are at a complete opposite to the staff outside running around yelling at people. We have avoided going to the storage unit for months at a time specifically because we dread interaction with this outside staff. Also, shuffling rental vehicles in the storage area might be necessary for THIS location, however there are a lot of other locations without this fleet congestion. Many other companies that offer storage only. Demanding that a tenant move their vehicle while they are actively accessing their storage unit is unacceptable. Especially when fleet vehicles are blocking the roadway and many roll-up units - get the keys and move vehicles yourself! It's not the responsibility of the paying storage customer to help do do the job of a disorganized rental fleet. I have made several complaints to the interior staff, one of whom I believe was a manager. No changes were made for at least a year following. I sincerely hope that changes have been made since then, But this is absolutely an unacceptable way to conduct business.
Christopher B | Overall ExperienceWe rented a truck to move to Beaverton, and the package included a month's free storage. We were assigned one unit, but when we got to Beaverton, they gave us a different unit. Then we were billed for the month that was supposed to be free. When we brought this to the manager's attention, we received a refund for that month. As for lighting, there does not appear to be any light inside the unit, and it is a bit difficult to read labels on boxes stacked at the back of the unit. Staff were not always friendly, and made promises they didn't keep (we'll help you with that... sorry, too busy).

Have you standing there while they carry on conversations about what they doing? Plenty of times I went to put things in my storage couldn't get into it had to walk back-and-forth to the office. Was there a one hour and 30 minutes I couldn't get into my storage they need new people that know how to deal with customer service I had one storages one for eight years. 2020. I got another storage and kept that for three years. I just couldn't take the rudeness no more and disrespect. I rent a truck from them several times to move the Philadelphia to move to Florida to move to Augusta to move to San Antonio. Also, I use the U Pack

When they did leave, they left most of their things behind-we packed 7 seventeen foot truck loads of stuff to take to 2 large storage units until it could be sorted and sent to Habitat for Humanity, Goodwill and the rest to the dump. Without Uhaul, I don't know how it could have been coordinated and for a reasonable price. Thank you Uhaul!

Also, I had a unit reserved with my truck rental, but when my wife went in, they gave her a different unit and seemed unaware of the reservation I made online. Another thing, my wife and I both got keys to the unit, but they only gave us one access card to get into the area where the storage units are.

He interrupted and was dismissive of my unusual situation and problems. David outside was just the opposite. David was kind, a good listener, smart, and solved my problems. Brad on the inside was also excellent. However, Jose's rudeness and uncaring behavior is a showstopper particularly after driving almost 1,000 miles in a uhaul truck with mechanical issues. While I was inside doing the paperwork for my storage room with Brad, another gentleman came in and insulted the manager about staffing. The Experience was unpleasant and unprofessional. I've been using Uhaul for over 50 years and this is the first time I've had a vehicle with mechanical problems or a problem with rude people.thanks

He is always on the radio when talking to other coworkers.

Not sure you're getting the information you want with that request. Just my two cents on that.

Stephen V | Overall ExperienceI wasn't even able to access my unit yesterday because the hours that were on literally everything said they were 5 am - 10 pm. We got there to find out that no, that's not when they close and that it's actually 7am-7pm M-F 9am-5pm Sunday The only indication of those hours were in the office hours but every piece of communication I received while booking said that office hours and self storage hours were different. The employees including the manager basically told us that that's the way things have been for over a year and shrugged us off. I don't understand how that can be the way the business has been operations for over a year but none of the online communications have been updated to reflect this. This is ridiculous and complete unacceptable. I will be making sure that we don't need this unit more than one month so that you never get another penny out me for the way I've been treated.

CHRISTOPHER F | Overall ExperienceStorage units were listed as 5x5, they do not meet these dimensions and I was unable to store the small amount of stuff I needed to. When this was brought up with the employees no one knew what they could do assist and make the situation better. I went in and complained about unit size being wrong and they were surprised I measured (unit exact usable space was 4'x4'6" barely large enough to put my storage rack in and not at all big enough for the totes I needed to store). All around the facilities are okay, the door latches and doors are weak wooden doors (for interior units) and never felt fully secure. Employees wouldn't even give me a single free box to attempt to make the situation better. Moved out of my unit within a week and had to pay to get an entirely new unit elsewhere as the access hours are minimal, and the staff is very unknowledgeable about how the business runs.

michelle m | Overall ExperienceStaff changed my access code for zero reason. That's customer abuse. I refuse to wait in line for an hour without getting reimbursed for my time. The manager doesn't care about filling the soap in the bathroom in the back of the storage lot, even during the plandemic. Too cheap to provide soap for us. Doesn't even empty the garbage bins in the bathroom. There's nails all over the road, I have to repair my tire once every couple of months because of this. The hours are awful, this is not what I signed up for and not what I paid for. I only get about an hour after work to access my stuff now. And the host spigots are now off limits, even though I was told years ago that was part of what I was paying for. U-Haul just keeps making it worse and worse for their customers.
Elliot T | First ImpressionsU Haul of Beaverton is very helpful. Mostly positive experience. The facility is not the cleanest of facilities I have visited at U Haul, and the access to storage units is limited to 7pm and 5pm on Sundays. Wish it had more hours to access my unit.
Calvin C | Overall ExperienceI received a mixture of great service and horrible. Setting up the rental was awful! I felt like the person setting up my rental was rude and condescending. The rest of the staff was always fantastic, I rented the unit for over a year and never had any other issues aside from access times. If not for convenience I would have walked out the first day.
Brian F | Overall ExperienceGeneral bad attitude from the management. My worst experience here was when I was moving my things out. The maintenance staff had blown dirt and dust into my unit and coated all of my belongings with filth. I now have to manually clean all of my belongings before moving them into my new house. When I brought this up with the management, they were dismissive (even though it was their fault) and told me to file a claim with the insurance company. I will do this because it appears to be the only way for it to be made right. Overall an abysmal experience and I will never recommend this place to anyone. I have tried to resolve this prior to writing this feedback. The assistant manager had told me I would get a call from the manager within 3 business days and I still have not received a call.
ALLEN N | Overall ExperienceFirst, thanks for having storage. I don't mean to knock on people. But I'm being asked how it went, so here's the answer... It took me over an hour to get my storage unit. First I had a lengthy wait in line. Staff were clearly very stressed and overworked. When I got checked in, the person at the counter did not seem to know much about the storage units. I was asked to fill out a form that could have been done much faster and more reliably online. I was assigned a storage unit and sold a disc lock. It took about 10 minutes to get my access code to work. When I got to my unit, it had a padlock on it, so I had to run back to the clerk and get it taken off. Then I found that my padlock did not fit into the hasp, which was different from most of the other units that DID have disc locks. I again had to go back inside, stand in line for another 10-15 minutes, and wait to be seen by someone again. This meant reassigning me to a different storage unit, since the one I was in had an older style of hasp that couldn't accept a disc lock. It was a good thing I went back in too, because apparently the first guy didn't take a picture of the form with my license, so we had to get out the paperwork and ID again. And he didn't ring me up for the disc lock, so we had to redo that whole transaction. Extensive signage around the facility says to ask about extended access. I asked. The guy I was talking to didn't know, so he asked another dude who started laughing and said we won't be seeing extended access again anytime soon with all the theft taking place around here. I was frustrated, because currently access hours are restricted to 7am to 7pm. I understand business is very challenging, staffing is hard right now and crime really is an issue especially being so close to a MAX station, so I don't want to sound like I'm beating up on people here. I'm glad to have a storage place. But those are the issues I ran into. The whole thing could have been done more efficiently, saving everyone a lot of time. Also, the signage referring to 24 hour access should be changed, removed or covered -- I did not discover extended access had been completely revoked until I was well into the process.

They employees were great up in the office but not very good about keeping an eye behind the gate. The employees did come out after having to go get one though.
