Made a reservation for car trailer, but no one could confirm where I could pick up or location was told it could be pick up 30 miles away! And than at last minute told to pick up where I had made reservation at. Basically you making the reservation was very unsettling . Very disappointed in uhaul. I'm repeat customer but will rethink next time.Ken K.

They neglected to log the truck back in and the rep on the phone kept telling me there was nothing in my name and a bunch of other bad info. I asked to speak to the manager. I told him he needed to go look, it was there. He did, and it was there. He did handle the situation, but my whole experience with renting this truck was very disturbing. Calls to return the truck early, then told I had to return on the day I originally planned, but extended. After all that, the location where I was told to return it, refused to accept the truck. This reminds me of how Uhaul was years ago. Won't use Uhaul again.JOANNE B.

The young lady at the desk was overwhelmed and was not handling the pressure very well. The lot worker was very polite and professional. When I checked my email receipt I noticed I was charged an extra day, even though I returned it on the contract day before the contract time. I called the location and was informed that I had exceeded the total days, even though this same young lady I had dealt with earlier could not explain why this â€œpolicyâ€ was not reflected on my prepaid rental contract. I am extremely disappointed in her customer service, at the very least she should have referred me to someone or given me a number to call to have my questions answered and the matter resolved. I use their rentals often (2k+ this year so far) and while a company is not rated on one bad experience I might have to give Penske or Budget a shot.Cara S.

The van smelled strongly of smoke and the items I had ordered that I was told would be in the truck were not. The truck was not in great shape, the seatbelt was old and didn't retract well, and the shift lever slipped between gears including entering reverse instead of drive with a light touch, similar to activating the turn signal. It was very difficult to select the appropriate gear and would slip into 3rd instead of drive upon starting.Austin B.

Well when I walked in to see if a trailer was available I was told all of them were reserved until Saturday they even called to another location who said the same thing. So I went outside parked Nextdoor went on line and made a reservation for a trailer at that exact same location for the same day 10 minutes later. I walked in gave my reservation and got the trailer so over all I'm glad I got a trailer but a little disappointed that I had to jump through hoops to get it. I like this location and use it often and will keep using it, but I'll make all my reservations before going inDylan K.

Originally reserved this equipment 2 days earlier at 10400 S. Virginia location, only to find out when I went to pick it up that they had rented it to someone else an hour earlier. When I reserved it no one else had a reservation for it, snd when I complained about the service at pickup I got nothing but a rude attitude. I will never ever rent from this location again. The delay in finding equipment afterwards caused myself and my family a 3/4 hour delay that ruined our morning schedules. Conversely, the people at 3411 S. Virginia where I had to go to get the equipment run a great business and were extremely efficient and courteous.Richard N.

I went there to rent a trailer and the girl helped me was so rude. One of the trailer light didn't work so she had to replaced it but she couldn't plug the light in it took her awhile to to get it to work. But when I driving out there was go way to get out, all exits were blocked by returning vehicles. I asked them politely to move one of the van forward so I have some rooms to get out but they resisted and said â€œthis van has to be here to get cleanâ€ and also there was a lady that returns the van said â€œgo figureâ€. Finally, after waited for sometime there was a gentleman the nice enough to move the van up for me and I was able to drive out. When the gentleman was driving the van forward I hear that lady told him that â€œwhy do you move it? You should let him move itâ€. This is my last time that I set my foot to a Uhaul place. Pick up was great - the representative that helped me was kind and efficient. Drop off was a nightmare, however. We returned our van at a clearly busy time as there were two other trucks that appeared to have just arrived. I was able to ask someone how to return the van and they tried to get the person who was in the first truck returned to check us in. Instead, that person turned up the music in the truck louder (it had profanities) and yelled that she was busy cleaning the truck. She said she would help us after she was done. So we waited. The original person who we spoke to then helped another customer and came back and saw we were still waiting. At that time, she asked another person to help us. That person said to wait just a minute as she went inside to do something else. After a few minutes, the original person came back and just helped us to check in the vehicle. It was so ridiculously disorganized, that it was very frustrating. If I needed to rent another vehicle in this area, I would probably still do so, but this situation must be rectified or I will not do so again.Cynthia L.

The girl who rented us the trailer was extremely rude and unprofessional. I would definitely not want someone like her representing my company. Fire her. She was more then terrible. I think her name was Sydney.JACOB VIRGIL C.
The auto transport we rented was in bad shape. The straps were ripped and we had to buy new ones to transport the vehicle. They did make it right and credited our rental. The young gentleman who checked us out seemed very unhappy and had a whatever attitude. The manager was very nice and helpful though.Mary C.

An employee didn't properly check in the vehicle with the person before me so the miles out logged was more than 90 miles off. They tried to charge me for 111 miles when I estimated 30 and went 15. I ended up getting charged for the 30 miles.Lauren K.

The staff at the Reno, NV location were absolutely the least professional staff I've ever seen. Waiting for my trailer, staff was joking and having inappropriate conversation refuting to clients as retarded. Once my trailer hitch was connected they failed to remove the other trailer connected to my vehicle and as I started to pull away they began yelling and expected me to help remove the second trailer. The 5th day of travel cross country the electrical connection between my SUV and trailer was severed and we lost all lights on the trailer. We pulled over at an ORiellys and purchased a new connection. This did not work. No lights on the trailer. We called UHaul support dispatch sent a driver/technician to assist. He began to play with the fuses in my SUV and after an hour some lights on the trailer turned on. No turn signals, no brake lights just running boards. He also disabled my SUVs turning lights. This was the worst experience with a rental. It put us in danger and violated traffic laws. When we returned the trailer to Palm Harbor, FL and described out experience he suggested we complain directly to corporate. We will never use UHaul ever.ELLEN S.

The left side mirror fell off my vehicle placing me in harm to myself and the vehicle. I got out and picked up the mirror from the street and returned it to the UHall office. I hit nothing and nothing hit me, it just fell off! Perhaps a result of a botched repair job at the center. The Assistant Manager was empathetic, kind and compassionate. She attempted to reach her manager who was off to try to authorize a full reimbursement for what I went through. Not being able to to reach him, I was told to call him the next day. Dealing with him was a totally different experience. He attempted to pin the mirror falling off on me. He lacked any understanding or empathy. He was not interested in refunding me my $84 dollars, not even willing to split it 50-50. He insulted my use of social media as a 70 year old person. Additionally, when I got the contract a Safe Move charge for $14 was added to the contract without giving me the option of accepting it. When I asked about the high price I was told it was due to the mileage charge, never mentioning the Safe Move Charge. Finally, the Roadside Assistance feature was never explained to me. Quite frankly, the employee who signed me out was more interested in setting up the Sunday football game to watch than in my business with UHall. This story will be repeated over and over again in the Reno community where I live. UHALL will loose far more than the $42 the manager pinched me out of. I would never use this site again, 3411 S. Reno location - employees not professional. Supervisor on duty put customer on speaker phone while we were in store and was talking down to them with no empathy or understanding. I understand the industry is busy but the customer should never be treated poorly. Gives uhaul a bad rap - otherwise no issues. Vacaville Location - service was fantastic, the kid who helped us was both hustling and super friendly.JOSHUA JAMES L.
