Waited 40 minutes when it said check-in was quick and easy. One person working, 6 people in line Gas tank leaked. Discovered after sitting in the driveway loading. Had filled the tank and was down to a quarter after 2 hours. I was allowed to exchange it but that took 1:5 hours and my help had to leave shortly thereafter. When returning the truck the check in/out process didn't work either so just left the key in the box I did not receive paperwork the first time but did the second. Whole day was a fiasco due to these situations. There was not even an offer of compensation for the companies errors. We were lucky the gas tank didn't blow up or start a fire. I have to rent a U-Haul in two weeks to move state to state. If I had an option I would select it, but I don'tAudra L.
Checked in online to â€œsave timeâ€ and it took 30 minutes to get a trailer. Location was understaffed and did not appear to even try to meet minimal expectations. Will buy a trailer before using this location.Nick B.

I reserved a 26' truck almost a month in advance. Arranged a time and movers, then received a call the morning before my move that the 26' truck I reserved was not available. With that said having the truck available that was reserved would be nice. I had to borrow an additional truck.VIRTUDEZ G.
Charged me twice for a one day rental was returned earlier than required. Charge for two days by mistake, They apparently failed to check in the trailer after I returned it, they charged me for an additional day when they finally check it in the next day took me three phone calls and several hours just to get it fixed. I've used this establishment many times and every time I get the best service. The team works really hard and go well out of their way to make sure you have what you need. The vehicle was dirty, bugs all over the windshield and the inside windshield was dirty also. They said to bring it back full of fuel or get charged extra. I drove 24 miles total @ aprox 20 miles per gallon. When I went to top it off it took 3.9 gallons. I obviously did not burn 4 gallons so it was not full of fuel when I picked it up. Maybe nothing to you but Google reviews get read.Scott W.
Second time we have gone to the location off Silverton and Fisher. 1st time the guy was rude. We were told in a very rude way we had to have it back on 4 hours. We thought we had more time then that. The second time the truck drove very bad.Jesse F.
Ask the customer what type of electrical connection he needs on his trailer!!!!! and not install the simplest connection he has on the stock shelf. The wiring should be securely attached to the tow vehicle & NOT loosely run through the rear door where it might be damaged by the door latch!!!!GARY G.

I rented my trailer from Salem, OR to Newport Oregon. As we were unloading the trailer iI was called and told I would have to drop it off in Waldport and that a manager would be calling me for compensation. My nephew cancelled his plans so he could return it to Salem. I spoke again with customer service who told me it would be fine and my charge would be adjusted and again told a manager would call me. My nephew went to drop it off at the same location we picked it up from earlier that day and he had to unhitch the trailer, nobody would help him. Their focus was on selling boxes rather than help the inbound vehicle returns. I get my bill and I was still charged the $97 instead of $19. I still have not heard from a manager. I spent 1 and a half hours tryng to get through to customer service with no luck. WHY HASN'T A MANAGER CALLED ME.MARY ELIZABETH S.

The location I picked up at was understaffed and the wait was unacceptableMICHAEL C.
Our reservation was screwed up by the Portland transit office. We had asked for a truck pick up in Independence, OR and at the last minute they switched us to Salem, OR. The UHaul location didn't open until 9 AM but we had opted for the "easy" early pick up by mobile app. Our truck was supposed to be ready at 7:30 am. Two employees were there before opening to clean returned equipment and one was able to check their system--they had NO RECORD of our reservation. I was on hold with the 800 number for over an hour and no one answered. So we had to sit there until they officially opened at 9 so they could give us an alternate truck. In the meantime, I had hired two men to load our truck starting at 8 AM. Since we didn't get our truck back to our apartment until 9:30, I paid $120 to have the loaders sit and wait on us. When we finally got to the apartment, the loaders (who had been waiting) said they weren't surprised because 1 in 5 of their customers have major trouble with UHaul. It's not the local folks who are at fault. Corporate UHaul was incompetent and this whole experience was a TOTAL SCREW UP. Next time, Penske!!John R.

The app wouldn't let me self return my equipment and it was frustrating. The worker was adamant that it was ok, he would take care of it, but it's still frustrating when they are super busy and I have the ability to return it myself, but can't because the app won't work properly.Crista D.

Delivery of the empty pod was delayed at the last minute, so my brother picked it up for me. It wasn't ready when he got there. It was a bit annoying and took too much time, but everything else went well. (And I do understand you are swamped these days! The people on the phone were as helpful as they could be; less so at the pick up location.) I did not like that I was not given ample mileage for my trip since I had to drive extra distance to pick up and drop off my truck. I ended up getting charged over $10 extra to an already pricey trip. I will look at other truck rental options next time.Quinn A.
Give clear directions to customers, even if you're busy. It takes only a moment to provide accurate information to prevent future headaches. We would have been more than happy to wait 5.. 10â€¦ 20 minutes to receive accurate information. This location has everything you could need for a move. We arrived to pick up our moving truck for an in-town move and everything was all ready to go. Both the pick up and drop off of the truck went very smoothly. They are also well stocked on a lot of moving supplies. Would definitely recommend them.TROY P.

Sent me home with a uhaul that had a stick in the gas tank, that was leaking gas. After not finding my reservation that I had, rude costumer service, and changed my drop off location that sent me way out of my way. Not pleased one bit, what a frustrating and dangerous nightmare!!!Victor A.

The only problem is the amount of office staff on Saturday and Sunday. Saturday I needed to set up my move out and waited in a line 6+ deep for 35 minutes with one lady working desk. The staff was very friendly, so this review does not reflect them, but getting into our rooms was a nightmare. We were supposed to have one large room and it was unavailable due to someone not moving out on time. So then we get transferred to two smaller rooms across the storage facility from each other. The second room that was “vacant” was still full of someone else’s garbage so then we were transferred again to a third unit. All the while, our whole unload crew is following the worker around the facility trying to figure out which room we are actually unloading into. We were supposed to get our first month free for our one room... now we are left paying much more next month for two rooms when we were only supposed to have one in the first place. Terrible organization and keeping track of which rooms were vacant/in use. We made our reservation a month ago so it wasn’t even last-minute. I have asked many times for you to change the name of who was on the rental agreement. Even after I had filled out the paperwork you still did not change the information. I had no way to speak with you guys since my husband who should have been taken off was still as the first person to contact. I paid with MY credit card and even when I told you NOT to use my credit card you Still DID.I had become homeless with this pandemic and had no way to contact you and then after many attempts you sold my stuff. I appreciate having to go above your head to get things done but I dont see why I had to in the first place. My mother in law was put in the hospital and you had no sympathy for the fact I was 300 miles from you and HAD NO WAY to come to you. I had you contact my sister after I told you not to....
