I think his name started with an A? Well anyways he has dark hair and he's pretty young in his twenties. He is very professional and friendly and made me feel like a very important customer. First of all I was charged for an extra day when I had returned the truck and hour early. My original plan was to pick up using the Uhaul app at 8pm on Sunday, so I could return it after closing the next day. I was called and told the rentals were unavailable on the app without explanation. I made it to the location just in time on Sunday to pick up the truck and asked if there was a way to let me use the truck for the times I needed. But there was no one who could make this exception. Last week I reserved a truck and when I went to pick it up I asked about using a corporate code. I needed to contact my contractor to re-reserve the same truck to use the code, but somewhere along the line the code was not applied to the reservation and charged the full amount to my personal card. I was also shocked to see the mileage rates increase from $0.69 to $0.99 per mile. I would like to know how we can make this fair before I use this service again anytime soon.

I could not believe the quick service!! I forgot to reserve a truck. I called the same day and was able to go within an hour to pickup the truck. Wasn't even there 10 minutes and was in the truck and on my way!!! Excellent service. Thank you to everyone! Great friendly staff!

Where do I start? Make sure that online processes do not hold up the in person processes. They should make things go faster not slower! Moving is already stressful and unfortunately, uhaul made my weeks of moving even worse. Workers are really nice, but the incompetence of getting my truck checked in while everyone was busy, and having to be called everyday for about a week and a half to tell me the truck had not been turned in, was horrible! I had also bought many boxes and other products and even a storage unit from uhaul, so to have such treatment while I was doing so much business with them was extremely frustrating and disappointing! I have had good experiences with uhaul in the past but after this, I will probably never use uhaul again!

I have a torn Acl and can't stand for an hour waiting. When I returned my truck at the allotted time no one met me in the lot to check in. When I entered the building there were about 7 people ahead of me. I went up and handed the clerk my keys and asked if he would email me a receipt. Well it was not checked in until 3:43 and they charged me for another days rental!!! Really dirty pool! I would not recommend this location!

This location was great, but originally I reserved a trailer at a different location and only received an e-mail Friday at 5:15pm when I was supposed to pick up Saturday at 11:00am. The new reservation was at a location an hour away from my previous reservation. It was very frustrating that this would even happen, let alone not even get a phone call and only get an e-mail. When I called to figure out what was going on I had to wait on hold for more than 30 minutes just to be transferred again. It was extremely frustrating.

I needed to rent a 10 ft truck and auto transport. The location had the truck but the auto transport was at a location about 4 miles away. The reservation was made 2 days in advance. Good customer service would be to have someone on the staff get the two together in advance. Bad customer service would be to have the customer stand in line for 30 minutes to sign a contract for the truck, drive the four miles, and then stand in line again to sign a separate contract for the auto transport. Guess which one U-Haul selected??? In addition, the truck that was rented had a constant low tire pressure warning that the staff said was OK - they just didn't know how to turn it off! Really instilled confidence in their professionalism.

Dropped the trailer off the same day I picked it up and where the guy told me to drop it off. They call me 4 days later asking about the status of the trailer. Guy was super unprofessional to the point it was one of my friends pranking me. I don't take kindly to be talked to like a child.

I rented a truck for one way. Dropped off the truck the next day. The staff was so unorganized they didn't check in the truck until 2 days later. I was charged for keeping the truck an extra day, tried calling about it and was told by the GM that he would get back to me within 24 hours after checking the cameras to resolve the issue. Didn't receive a call back and every time I call the location I get sent to dispatch saying that no one is available to answer the phone and at this point I do not know if I'm going to get my money back.

I was charged $75 in the morning when I checked out the truck about 9:30 or 10:00 when it was returned at 4:00 the same day I was charged $758 saying that in that short period of time and only traveling approximately eight blocks I was told we put on over a thousand miles in the on the truck I'm now disputing that charge with the credit card company this happened on Tuesday supposedly they were looking into it it's now Thursday and I haven't heard a word

Mariah was a great help and was very informative. The only hiccup was missing the furniture pads. When I called about them, Mariah said I could come by to get them or they would reimburse me the rental fee of $5.00. Otherwise, everything was easy and went very well.

I have asked many times for you to change the name of who was on the rental agreement. Even after I had filled out the paperwork you still did not change the information. I had no way to speak with you guys since my husband who should have been taken off was still as the first person to contact. I paid with MY credit card and even when I told you NOT to use my credit card you Still DID.I had become homeless with this pandemic and had no way to contact you and then after many attempts you sold my stuff. I appreciate having to go above your head to get things done but I dont see why I had to in the first place. My mother in law was put in the hospital and you had no sympathy for the fact I was 300 miles from you and HAD NO WAY to come to you. I had you contact my sister after I told you not to.... I had no way to do anything and I am very happy I have nothing to do with your company. In the future I will NOT use and will not recommend UHAUL for anything.

I cannot recommend U-Haul itself for the incredibly poor treatment and misrepresentations made during my move, but the staff at this location was helpful and courteous. I am concerned that vehicles in Oregon are allowed to be used to transport marijuana (it's legal here) and the odor from that cargo doesn't easily leave the truck or the U-Haul cleaning process is inadequate. Three different store clerks acknowledged the smell - even at my destination days later - and the company's response was essentially “too bad for you, we are busy.” They should not be renting out vehicles that are not clean or ready for a family to use.

I didn't answer the “Would you recommend” question because I would say Maybe-with a warning. I normally rent from this location, they have plenty of staff and you move through the process smoothly, even though it's a busy location. This time however was a train wreck from pick up to drop off. There was one employee there that knew how to work the computer. The other, was brand new and hadn't been trained or had very little training. Honestly, I was fine with standing in line and at the counter while we waited for the trained employee to help others as well as hook up equipment. It's the dropping off of the trailer that I had a issue with.... after I had pulled into the drop off lane I sat in my car (per their rules) and waited for an employee to come out and unhook the trailer. Knowing it's a busy location I waited. I waited for over 10 minutes and during that entire time not one customer went into the store so I went in to see how busy they were. The store was EMPTY. There wasn't even an employee behind the counter. I did hear some talking so walked around a display and saw the girl from the morning leaning against the doorway of the small office talking with the man in the office. The both looked at me and continued talking even though I said “excuse me? I'm dropping off.” as I stood there they continued chatting and then the guy looks at me and asked if they could help me. I repeated again that I was dropping off and he said he would be right out to help me. Okay, I'll go wait in my car. Went back out to my car and waited.... I watched as one customer walked in, purchase, and walked out with their packing supplies. I waited for another 10 minutes. Frustrated I unhooked the trailer myself. Once I arrived home (West Salem mind you) I found the direct number on my contract for the store and called them. The man (Kurt, I believe he said) answered. I told him I removed the trailer myself and it's sitting in the drop off lane. He thanked me and then told me that they just get so busy that they get scattered. Seriously? I was there for 20 minutes waiting, you had one customer. He then goes on to tell me I could leave the parking lot and he would email me a receipt. That clearly showed me they never even came outside even after I left! I was home when I made that call. Receipt never showed up but that didn't surprise me. What did surprise me was the phone call I received the following afternoon. It was U-haul customer service. She was calling to ask when I would be returning the trailer that I rented the following day. I told her I returned it yesterday and told her what happened. She was not happy and stated that she will be contacting the GM for that location. I'm not sure if she did. I did however finally receive my receipt that Kurt said he would email to me the day before. This emailed receipt wasn't from Kurt though. He never once followed through with anything. The lady from customer service sent it.

What I won't ever do is recommend the place that I had to drop this truck off at. They didn't go over anything with me. Didn't even want to see my contract. Just said I could only drop off the truck and leave. Employee took my name and phone number and promised me that the mgr of the gas station would call me the following morning, but that call never came. This is NOT how I have ever had a transaction end with ANY rental place. Also, I paid cash, I was told since I didn't go 30 miles, I would have money back. The employee at the drop off gas station said they didn't deal with cash customers, so I wouldn't get anything back. That, again, is NOT good customer service.

Renter 26' truck 2 weeks prior. When I got there I saw one 26' truck in the lot. However they told me my truck had not been returned yet. What about that truck in the yard, oh that one is reserved. Well I have a reservation too so what's the deal. I wasn't offered the $50 like the reservation said. Instead they gave me a 16' truck, I had no other choice. I had to move my home. Ended up not moving that day so returned truck 4 hrs. later and was charged $62 bucks anyway. Truck had to be cleaned before I could take it. Wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy.

I made the reservation over the phone at one location and picked up at another. The person making my reservation was very helpful. I told him I had never used uhaul before and he mentioned the ramp. Glad he did! Picking up was quiet and painless, the guy was very nice. When I brought it back, I was 30min late but they didn't mind. Dropping it of was quick even though they had suddenly gotten very busy! I'm really appreciative of the staff, they didn't add to the already stressful situation of moving. Thanks!

We actually booked online for the 12 street location where we always go and they didn't have a truck. Had to go Across town. Pay more in gas. And the guy checking us out felt like chit chatting and we needed to get it done. It is what it is. But it really threw off everything we were doing. I prefer the 12th street location. Their customer service and efficiency is the best.

I reserved a trailer (return to same place) and was told that the only trailer they had in our size was a one way trailer. The price was twice as much. It was not a pleasant surprise.

I reserved a trailer with a ramp but when i got there they had rented out , I took one with out because I needed one but i had a HELL of a time using it with out a ramp i was not very happy ,I will give them a try again in couple weeks since i need it again Well see how they do>

Very poor customer service behind the counter employees and extremely slow with customers and then after 15 minutes wait several of us got told our reserved trucks were not available, I did finally get one,there was about 12 of us in line I was in there for 30 minutes, so what good is a reservation? I know everyone's tired this was morning and they were just super slow, than I needed the truck 1 more day a few hours, and I called for 2 hours and no one answered, I tried calling 800 number no answer, I then emailed, next morning I get a phone call from some man telling me I have to return the truck it's reserved, and I tried to explain to him why I needed it a few more hours and he Hung up on me while I was talking..the return was awesome and the middle aged man outside checked me in and was very polite.. any way they definitely need to stop over reserving and to pickup their pace and never hang up on someone!!! Totally rude and unprofessional....Thank you for asking for my review. I only hope it helps!

We had reserved 2 10x20 units but when we needed the second unit they only had a 10x10, this created stress with our move and the smaller unit was no where near as convenient and easy to use it had at least a 1 foot step up. When originally reserving the units I was able to speak directly to the location all other calls went directly to the call centers which had EXTREMELY long wait times. Luckily on our first trip I grabbed the managers business card and was able to get assistance via email to her. Your APP for reservations and payment is really good

I’ve been there several times. They are terribly understaffed. Each time there was about an hour wait just to get to the counter. I was there before they opened and there were 5 people in front of me. I would like to commend the staff. They are professional, and courteous even in such trying circumstances. I have to rate low because of my experience. 1st, the online app did not accept image of the back of my drivers license, so I could not order online. The next day, I physically went to rent (Sun) at 430 pm... lose at 5. I was told bluntly, without even trying to listen, we cannot rent in the last hour. Told to do online. Explained I already had. I tried again. This time it asked for a alternate number and no matter what I entered, with hyphen or withou...several different numbers, it would not advance and finalize. It did accept the money. THEN after 3 attempts to call and get help (again, point blank, i cannot help...referred to same numer and menu)...waiting again. 3 person really heard me and tried to help...then suddenly disconnected. Had to wait till next day to sign up and unload. Had to miss work.

I rented storage and rented a van from this store. I could not have had a better experience. Your staff was so kind and professional, and everything went smoothly. Because of the coronavirus situation, I had to move out of a dorm and into a new apartment and get ready to start a new job in a new city over the course of a weekend. The staff is snotty and behave in a 'im better then you manner'. Staff tells customers one thing and the ownet/manager contradicts her staff. That doesn't look good on any business. The result of this kind of miscommunication was that I had to move out of my storeage unit in less then 24 hours. I wouldn't store here.
