Wrong wiring connection
VICTOR DStop taking 2 weeks to destination!! follow Pods Company lead of only 6-8 days on road. let customer know the progress of the journey of shipper!!! stop taking nine 9 days to load our Pods to 3rd party shippers, at origination state!!!!! I will NEVER use or recommend U boxes for anyone ever again!! it took too TOO long to go interstate and was held up in originating State too TOO long. 2weeks is UNACCEPTABLE for arrival. VERY UNHAPPY.
Kira FMy RESERVED storage unit not only had someone else's lock on it, it was COMPLETELY full of someone else's stuff . Including, broken glass all over, bins , 3 couches and trash. The u haul worker did not give me a lock, properly show how to use the sign in and out , and seemed very annoyed that he rented , had me sign a contract for a completely trashed storage unit . After letting them know it was COMPLETELY full they emptied the storage unit into a U-Haul and parked it . Very very uncomfortable and unprofessional to be spending over $250 a month on a storage unit for this to happen . Most likely will not be keeping next months lease. The process that could have taken no less the 10 mins-AS I RESERVED THE UNIT BEFORE HAND AND COMPLETED ALL DOCUMENTS ONLINE - took over an hour and a half .

RYAN BWe got a brand new cargo van and it was clean and drove well.
BRIAN MI had to return a U-Haul truck rental to this location because I also had to rent a storage unit very last minute, that was not part of my plan. However, I did qualify for a one month free storage unit and this was the closest facility to where I was currently located at the time. I was not with the movers and the U-Haul containing my belongings, but rather about 15 minutes behind them. When I called this facility and spoke to a woman over the phone (who's name I cannot remember,) I explained the situation and asked if they could gain access to the unit before I got there. The unit had already been secured via telephone prior by another Uhaul customer service representative. She made that possible and it was a smooth process. When I arrived, I went in to the office, met with a gentleman working at the counter, filled out the paperwork quickly and it was done in no time. Super great service and very friendly people!

JENNIFER GI usually go through this location. It is great. And Madison Adams was especially helpful and she knows her stuff. I will be back again. And I always refer this location to friends in need of a U-Haul.
ROBYN RThe app did not work very well. It took me almost 45 minutes and I'm a very computer savvy person. The app got me about 60% of the way through and then kicked me out and made me start all over again. It was very glitchy.
Brian BI took my nephew to get a reserve a rental truck, since I am moving out of the country, and giving my 2 nephews all my power tools. I specifically drove from Vancouver, Washington to Salem, Oregon, where one of my nephews lives, so I could give them my credit card for the reservation, since I was paying for it. The guy took my driver's license and credit card, as well as my nephew's driver's licrnse. Today they came up to my house to load up the tools, and my nephew told me they had to use my sister's credit card, because the guy didn't save my credit card information for the payment. That was the whole point of me going down there. Why did he take my credit card then? I'm not really impressed.

JOSE RWhen I rented the equipment they had me driving 19 miles from my home to drop it off. Then that facility was closed for vacations so they changed me to one that was 49 miles away. I found a facility that was 2.5 miles away, called u-haul and asked to change to it. They were happy to do so. I think that they should ask where a person wants to return the equipment.
Dale PThe whole process was super fast and easy. I anticipated a bunch of wasted time at the facility (being a skeptic) but it didnt happen. Use of the trailer made moving a bad in terrible weather EASY.

CHARLES MWe dropped off after hours. The spot we had to leave the trailer was well lit so that was good. But the surface was a bit slanted, so when we unhooked, the trailer started to roll. It would be nice to have some blocks at the ready so we could make sure that the trailer was secure. *The survey made me answer the personnel question--but there were no people around since it was after hours.

larry p | First ImpressionsChecking in was good. The employee said to take a picture of the mileage and gas level in case there was any issue. He marked the truck as a quarter tank. When I got in to start the truck it was below empty so I got the employee to look at it and he said that they would give me a credit when I returned it. When i brought the truck back, I had a different employee checking it in who wanted to charge me a fuel fee for not bringing it back at a quarter tank and told me if I went and put a quarter tank in, I would get a credit. After going round and round about how illogical this was since I was already bringing the truck back with more gas than I got it and that I didn't need a credit but just wanted to be charged for the mileage, he took off the gas penalty. I would guess Uhaul make millions per year on gas penalties from customers, and to be honest this felt like that was the goal; a little like a gas racket. Otherwise it was a great experience.

JUSTIN AEvery time I rent from this place they don't have a dolly for me to use even though I have reserved one and paid for it. I would use a different location if the other places had more rental options. They also charged me for 2 days after the manager agreed I could bring back by 5pm and not be charged
TAMRA RSilverton Rd Salem employees were great. I had to call four times with questions and everyone was very helpful and set me up with great equipment to move my u box.

KARLA CThe UHaul app to take pics of rental vehicle is primitive. I have rented UHaul trucks annually for the past 5-6 years as my children have attended college and moved. The most disappointing thing has been using the app. It stalls and takes forever to respond.
JEFFREY TThe equipment was clean and generally well maintained. The brakes were soft requiring 3 to 5 pumps to bring hydraulic pressure to where it should be for proper breaking. The frontend needs alignment, the steering wheel was misaligned clockwise 5 to 10°and wandered regardless of load. It was serviceable for me and the short distance of 40 miles. If I were to be driving that vehicle for a long distance I would be displeased. Overall my experience was positive and would rent from this location again.

I moved out and was told that if the employee didn't "process " my move out by the next month that I would be charged for another month. of course this would be theft of $263. I told corporate to tell the location to say it is not a drive up unit because employees park there in front of it and you have to beg them to move, not knowing who owns the car. Time-consuming and frustrating.

I was not prepared to pay for a bigger unit, but for more unknown reasons could not comp the upgrade that was their fault. They were friendly and pleasant, it was just frustrating having this experience after traveling 12 hours to get there. I was anticipating everything being in order when I got there, but I guess it wasn't necessarily their fault either…still frustrating to go through that. Probably won't use U-Haul storage again.

I made the reservation in the middle of the night and Clint, the General Manager was ready for me. The fact that I was able to snag a drive-up unit made this one of the easiest moves I've ever done! The staff at the Silverton Road location has never failed to make me feel welcomed and this time was no exception.

The only thing was that prior to moving in I had a talk with central call line people and they misinformed me about some information which made the move in process a bit difficult. But the storage facility was very helpful and kind and made the process less stressful! Highly recommend this facility to others!

I then asked for a refund of the 3 weeks and he got all mad and refused and hung up on me. The worker apologized and said that wasn't right because technically it was still my unit. I would like this fixed asap.

The procedures for checking in first before using door code was never given to me until I could not open door one day. Zero communication between office and customers. Raised prices every month. I paid extra for climate control and it was stifling hot in Summer and freezing cold in Winter. I will never rent from U-haul again.
