I didn't drop off the truck so cannot comment on the Spokane location

MICHAEL FThere was a mess up with the paperwork which caused an issue when we had a flat tire on the trailer. The roadside service people were a bit "snotty" when the vehicle being towed was different than what the paperwork showed.
John MWhen I dropped my truck off on 4/4, I let the GM Cory know I was also done with my storage unit. He told me to go out back and take the lock off and he would close it out when he got back inside. Apparently he did not, because John called me on 4/12 to ask if I had rented a storage unit with them (he knew the answer). I answered a hesitant "yes" because I was confused. At this point, he rudely asked "why I said yes like that" as if he was accusing me of something. I informed him about everything with Cory on 4/4 when I dropped my truck off and he said "oh" and "I'll close it out." He also didn't close it out. On 4/15, I get the notification I'll have a bill coming up soon. I call the facility this time and explain everything again. The man who answered the phone said he would take my name and number, go look in the unit to make sure "it looked good," and call me back. I was admittedly pretty upset and heated at this point. I informed him I was done with the unit on 4/4 and followed their GM's instructions. If there was a problem with the unit, it had nothing to do with me and I was not waiting around or stepping out of work again for something that should have already been taken care of (twice). He essentially told me he was trying to help me but what else could he do. Fortunately another employee must have overheard because he ended up getting on the phone. The other employee told me some other customer had put their stuff in the unit I had vacated per the GM's instructions and that it caused a lot of confusion. Things happen, and had this ended after John's (rather rude) phone call on 4/12, I would have just dropped it there and let it go. But the whole experience was rather souring. The GM is very nice, but what a cluster this was. Also, John had an accusatory attitude when I was confused about why there was a second lock on my unit. Perhaps I did miss him telling me they put second locks on them overnight, but when I asked, the first words out of his mouth should not have been "I told you this yesterday." Perhaps I missed it since you checked me into one unit, and then had to move me to another one for unforeseen problems right away. Again, each thing I would have let go, but in totality, it deserves to be heard.

TIFFANIE HI first received a call that someone else also reserved a truck with almost the same last name, hard for me to understand that when I have a hyphenated last name, then I received another call asking if I wouldn't mind returning the UHaul miles away from where I had planned to return it. It would have been completely out of the way, and a good hour or more out of my time of trying to move. When I said no, it wouldn't be convenient for me at all, he was trying to talk me into doing it. I've never had a bad experience with UHaul and I have moved a few times, but it was a little frustrating getting calls in the middle of moving to answer questions and then to be asked to return it way out of my way.

LUKE LJonathan was wonderful, extremely helpful and I truly appreciate his kindness today. The only issue with this location is getting out onto Division as they are located right at the Y and it can be a challenge. Otherwise great customer service both renting and returning the vehicle.
PAULINE POne of the lights on the car dolly didn't work and then later on that evening I noticed the neither of the lights were working. All connections where working properly. When returning 1 of the employees snuck up and scared me by yelling boo when I wasn't paying attention. I was trying to return the product online but was having difficulty. He did help me check in the return of the car dolly but it was 9 and he said that he had been off for an hour.
REECE WStaff were wonderful, particularly John and Cory who assisted us. They helped answer questions, and then the U-Haul video we could view showed the exact installation for the hitch we were getting and the car we have. Would definitely go back and recommend this location to others!

ANTONIO CChecked in at 5:10, didn't leave the lot until 6:05. I made a reservation for 5:00. I had a time frame to meet to get the vehicle I was picking up. The truck/trailer combo is rented was buried behind " check in " vehicles. I wad asked to help guide the sales representative to the trailer, I tried to guide him "wayne", he wasn't following orders and missed the hitch, when he got out of the truck to look he them lectured me about how to guide while another person is driving. I was an aircraft filght director and equipment operator in the navy, Wayne sucks at driving. I gave him industry hand movements, because I work in autobody, I deal with navigating vehicles in a tight space. Once we got the trailer hooked up. I had to do the check in process, while doing it, I noticed the license plate got ripped off, while informing Wayne that the license plate is missing, he say "Shit, are you serious?" Yeah, I am, about as serious I'm doing a check in on your product that a UHAUL EMPLOYEE SHOULD OF DONE! I don't work, for you company. It's not my fault that some YOUR company hired didn't notice. So now I have wait, for him to go inside and figure out what other trailers are available. I finally a new trailer and was once again adked to help. While hooking up the trailer, Wayne processed to tell me it might take a minute because his right arm hurts. The truck had to be adjusted multiple times and then I had to do the check process again. Why can't uhaul pay for employees to do this? I'm sure that it saves your company money, but the inconvenience cost me the ability to pick up my vehicle, so I spent $225.70 to not achieve the goal I had planned out, and it's because of the incompetence of your employees and the lack of staffing. Your company is lucky I've had positive experiences with using your services. Because any company that expects a customer to do all the check in info while thier staff sits there staring at you, and then makes your only objective for seeking thier company out in the first place, fail and lose thier customers money for not being fully prepared, a failure on your end, shouldn't be doing business.
ABRAHAM CThis was the worst experience I have ever been involved in. To start, the furniture dolly I ordered was not in stock. I was visibly displeased and "Alexander" told me I could go downtown and pick it up. Never offered another option and didn't apologize. He then told me my truck is ready. "Just go past the 10 footers and it will be on my left". Made no effort to help me find it. Thankfully, Jonathan came to save the day. He came out of the shop, apologized and brought my truck out for me. The entire episode took place next to the manager. He continued to type on his computer and was too busy to help the situation (his picture is on the front desk; hard to miss a guy with the long beard). I specifically looked his way twice. No eye contact and no effort to remedy his employee with zero customer service skills. The truck was a rust bucket with 150,000 miles on it. It had a cracked bumper and several areas with damage stickers on it. The ramp was stuck and took several tries to release. I was surprised the entire rig wasn't held together by duct tape. Finally, when I returned the truck 4 hours later, I waited 35 minutes for them to help check it back in. Once again, Jonathan saved the day and apologized for the wait. $93 dollars later, not including $20 in gas. U-haul has become a bottom tier business. Looking for other options in the future.

The desk has a glass top so nothing was damaged, but there was water in the unit.

I called on a Sunday and Monday and customer service sent an email to the Manager of this location to call me BUT that manager never did. I went to the location and a young gentleman helped me. The young man who helped me gave me one month free BUT I just paid a few days before this issue so technically I was never offered anything for the inconvenience and incompetence of that Eric guy. However, the manager still did not have the decency and respect to call me and follow up at least on the emails he received. And I know he received them because I was cc'd on those emails. Poor customer service skills and no follow through for a manager. Might as well give the title and the pay to that young gentleman who at least made an effort to resolve the situation.

paul s | Overall ExperienceUnfortunately I could only give you haul a 3-star rating with their storage facility because you weren't allowed in your storage unit whenever you wanted. it had to be opened by staff. Also we were going to move everything out at the beginning of the month only to find out we wouldn't receive a refund for the rest of the month that we did not use the unit. Once you pay on the first apparently it's final. And you can't be refunded any money.
