Unit was secure. The lighting for inside the units was almost non existent. But overall, was a good experience. If I had one negative thing to comment (and was a factor in my moving to another storage place), it was that I rented a unit the same day I rented the truck (to have somewhere to move in). It was advertised I could get a month free with a truck or box trailer rental if I also got a storage unit. I was told I could do just that. But when I inquired after I moved my belongings, I was told I did not qualify for a free month because I already had the storage unit. But mind you, it wasn't a previous storage unit, it was a storage unit I rented specifically for this move. A week later, I rented a large box trailer. Again, it was advertised that I could receive a month free of storage. But again I was told I didn't qualify. That was frustrating. It needs to be spelled out that you get a free month when you rent a storage unit AFTER your move (as I was told). But if that's the case, it's nonsensical because I can't imagine moving and not be assured you have somewhere to put your belongings when you arrive. Not a good way to treat a good customer. You can check my account and see that I've rented quite often and spent quite a bit of money on rentals, towing packages, etc over the past 2 years.

Truck was beat up and falling apart. Had an appointment from 1pm-1pm 24 hour rental went to pick up the truck wasn't there changed time to 4pm to 1pm on me. They sent me to three different locations nobody had the truck I had reserved. Had to go back to the original place and throw a fit just to get any truck because they had about 10 lined up out front but told me they were booked for other people later on that day? I was booked for earlier and they had no truck but they have theirs? Made no sense. She finally let me get a truck after calling customer service. This caused me to miss my shift at work, and extra charges because they couldn't keep their promise. Will not use again.

My experience from day one was horrible. When I first called the store for a quote the staff that answered the phone was rude and made it seem as if I should know the answers to the questions that I was asking. When I arrived in the store I was not greeted properly and every moment after then was a disaster. My debit card was charged 15 times over a three-month period because I was getting charged for two uboxes when I only had one. I live 30 minutes from the store and calling into the store was a waste of time. Most of time no one answered other times my questions could only be answered by the GM and she was never available. I eventually went in the store to show my receipt to prove that my payments were up to date and that my card should not be getting charged. As I handed the receipt to the guy behind the counter who identified his self as the manager, he didn't even take the receipt and then he asked what am I supposed to do with that and who told that I need to speak with the GM who was not there. I was eventually given her cell number and after several calls and text to reach her instead of calling me back she blocked me. I called another location and was given the number of the regional manager and after speaking with him the GM then called me. She was not apologetic at all and made it as if she was doing me a favor when it was her store who made the mistake. Finally, I thought that everything was settled at this point but I was wrong. When it was time for me to move my belonging I was told I had an unpaid balance. They could not explain to me how I had a balance when I had the Ubox for 3 months and had paid EVERY month for the last three months. They eventually released my belonging and I'm finally done with Uhaul East Pearl and will Never Ever step foot in their store EVER again! Customer Service training is definitely need at this store location and also Manager training is a most.

Original pickup location did not have the truck I booked days ahead. Booking cancelled and a new one put in for a different pickup location. Truck had engine light on. Had real trouble returning it the same day as checkout website said reservation cancelled. On hold for over an hour and then cut off with no customer service support. Not at all satisfied with the overall experience especially, when your moving plan gets disrupted.

Customers keep a business up and running. We're not always right but how your staff address and handle the concerns of a customer determines a positive or negative outcome. It appears that the staff at this facility are either overworked or unconcerned. Regardless, greeting people with a smile makes them feel welcomed and want to do business at this facility.

The people at the facilities were nice and clean however I was really dissatisfied that I was given a truck with the gas light on. It was marked with almost a quarter tank of gas on the paper. however in actuality the gas light was on and had only 30 miles to empty. Considering the closest gas station was a few miles of that is VERY inconvenient. After putting $170.00+ of gas in the tank was still not full. I returned the truck on more than half and would like to be reimbursed the difference.

Employees need training. Only one employee was giving good customer assistance. All others could not stop looking at their cell phones and when I pointed it out they did not care. The manager on duty when I picked up and returned was extremely unprofessional. He remained in office while new associate handled everything g by herself. After she had to walk in office and ask 3 separate questions, He finally came out to help. He helped me, but was on FaceTime with headphones in the entire time. He came out to hook trailer up and was on FaceTime the whole time during that. He did not do a walk around of trailer. Luckily, I did and noticed one of the ramps was not latched in. When I returned the trailer, I went inside to find an associate. I noticed he (the same man) was in the service garage WORKING ON HIS PERSONAL VEHICLE. he noticed me walk in the building, looked at me, then turned around and proceeded to work on his personal car. I knocked on window, he ignored me. I then walked out and told him I needed to return a trailer. He said go find the other employee and turned around and continued to work on his personal vehicle. I would love for someone to call me so I could explain further how terrible of a customer experience this employee offered.

When I tried to get in the storage facility I couldn't because I wasn't told it closes at 10. There were roaches all over me belongings when I came to remove them out the storage room. I still have a hold on my account and it's been a month.

The only negative thing is when I went to turn the Uhaul in. I was told when I picked it up, that the location closed at 8 pm. I showed up at 6:50 pm. There were two workers inside cleaning. They would not accept the Uhaul from me. I knocked on the locked door and one of the girls told me “You have to drop the keys in the orange drop box”. I assume they actually closed at 7, but it was too close to that time to help me. I parked where I was told to park and stayed in my equipment like the sign told me to do, but no one came out to help. That's when I knocked on the door. It was also raining and they probably did not want to get wet.

Made a truck reservation online three days ahead including a very needed appliance dolly. When I was in the pickup process, I asked if the dolly was already on the truck. The young lady at the counter, who appeared to be a new employee or not properly trained, replied that, because they didn't have one available, she removed it from my order (without informing me she'd done so). As a remedy, I asked for a hand dolly and she said they didn't have one to give me. Very disappointed, and out of necessity, I still took the truck. When I reached to my destination and opened the truck's door and lo and behold, a hand dolly was strapped inside of it. The only part of my experience that was pleasant was the drop off using the Uhaul app. That process was very simple and deserves 5 stars, the poor service at the location is a minus 3, hence the resulting 2 stars. My suggestions are: don't over-rent equipment and improve the training of your staff.

One of the employees that work there was very rude and disrespectful to not only me but to other customers also. I think her name was April. She was arguing with a customer ahead of me until he got angry and started cursing her She threatened to not rent him a unit. She talk to you lije you are a dummy or a child she is scolding. Another white remake employee was waiting on me but she was very nice and cordial. She said she was training. April was talking to her the same rude way but the new employee continued doing her job but appeared nervous because of how she was being treated. April was assisting her during my transaction and when I had a question, she started talking to me the same way. Just totally out of line and unprofessional. I asked her not yo talk to me that way and that I had noticed how she was treating everybody. She told me that she didn't have ti rent a truck or unit to me and took my paper from me. I asked her to call corporate office. She then gave the paper to the new employee and did not help her finish my transaction. The new employee finally worked it out. If I hadn't already paid for movers that were waiting on me, I would have left. When I finished the move and was returning the truck, another customer was in the building telling the next shift about how she had treated him that day. We discussed my interaction with April that day also. This customer stated she really need to do something about her attitude. It was a very poor experience for such a busy, hard day of work.

The truck I rented had an issue with the speedometer (reads 10-15 mph low), the horn did not work (I did not check horn before leaving so that's on me), and the seats were covered in black sharpie that could not be seen until the seat temps hit above 120 and came off on clothing. When I asked the manager to acknowledge the issues he couldnt and said I acknowledged the condition and “that's uhaul for you”. My response was that's “bs”. I will do all I can to avoid using uhaul in the future.

The inside RV parking was dimly lighted and the overhead door access would stay open or not open at all at times. There was construction ongoing inside during my rental period. A U-HAUL trailer was parked in my spot once. Not the experience I anticipated.

Overall my experience was good but there are a lot of issues with the staff. The manager (if it's the same one when I moved my stuff in was good but the other employees weren't as professional or seemed to care about customer service. A few weeks ago I went by there on a Sunday and the doors to the storage facility wasn't opened. I went to the office and the employee there didn't realize the doors weren't opened and said the manager hadn't come to unlock the doors. !?!? This was very inconvenient for me but that's what it is like often at this location.

Ms Adrian Mixon customer service is like off the charts. She has made my experience with UHaul fantastic. I am a 15 year customer with UHaul and was really contemplating ever using UHaul as my go to service company anymore, because of bad service in the last year, until I talked to Ms Andrea. She is the upmost best customer service oriented person I have ever in the past15 years using UHaul experienced . I have recommended her facility in Pear to every person in need of renting a truck or trailer for their moving needs. We were unable to access our reserved storage unit due to a broken hasp. We were told per Andrea Mixon area manager that they did not know when the hasp could be repaired leaving us to scramble to find an available unit at another facility. This inconvenience caused a delay in our entire moving process which the staff Chynna Burk showed little concern and was overall extremely rude. We plan to share our experience on social media as we will never use UHaul again.

The day I reserved the unit, we were told about the moving truck/getting the month rent free. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable- provided us with information requested, showed us a sample unit, etc... We didn't have a certain timeline to move in, just needed to secure a unit, so I set the date for June 29 and we brought a few little boxes on that date. I asked about the truck again and was told it would not apply since I had already moved in... Our unit is in the very back corner. While it is one of the larger units, it has a smaller door. Lighting is poor. I wouldn't Not recommend this facility to a friend, but it wouldn't be my first choice after my experience in 6/29.

Great convenient place. Organized, competent, professional staff and located in safe location. Grounds are spacious. The only complaint is the storage isles are extremely tight (narrow) making it difficult to maneuver large furniture such as sofas.

Candice was worried about were Danika and Amber were. She said they always disappear (from work). Danika was mean and so blunt. Amber was just plain ugly, and rude. She doesn't have any customer service skills. Her mask wasn't even on her face properly. She walks away from her customer when she's suppose to be showing them their unit. (Like you know were it's located already)!

No problems until I moved out. I swept and left the door open. Then got an email several days later telling me that rent was past due and they are going to lock my unit and keep my belongings. That was funny since my unit was completely cleaned out and swept with door left open.

Poor customer service. Long waits not enough staffing when there is a line. Rude general manager stood over me as if I was going to steal something. Kicked me out of my space because a little aftersray from an spray can got on another trailer. I simply worked it out with the other customer and the issue was resolved. Instead she kicked me out to the curb

I cleaned up the floor with my own broom. Someone had raked a pile of trash in the isle and it stayed there until I cleaned it up. Great building, good place to put something you need dry and out of the weather. I would use again if needed.
