First, having a system in place to ensure that employees are aware of customers waiting and then the employee taking action to help would be most beneficial. Second, if U-Haul should provide free secure Wi-Fi in their locations if you are going to require customers to open a link on their phone and upload images of their DL. We should not data use charges because of you business processes.

I needed some information from the rental facility and I couldn’t get through as it was pickup by the call center which they could not answer the question for them. As well as I left something the rental van and again I couldn’t get in contact with anyone there. This was very ignoring as not to be able to speck to some one there.

I appreciate that they were busy and I just needed to drop the truck off, but we didn't go over anything and they just stated that I would be emailed the results. The truck yard was somewhat cluttered, someone had dropped a trailer off in the drop off lane in the wrong direction. It seemed a but understaffed.

I typically do not leave reviews, but this experience was one from hell. I scheduled a hitch installation and motorcycle trailer reservation over 1 month before my vacation trip. Three days before my hitch installation appointment, the GM of this location (Caleb) called me and told me my hitch was back ordered (why was this not taken care of weeks in advance and not days before the appointment?!). I was told the hitch should still arrive before my appointment date and that he would be in touch with me. I never heard from ANYONE until the appointment date when I had to call myself to find out that the hitch still had not arrived. Caleb stated that it was out for delivery that day and to come by in two days to have it taken care of...guess what, I never heard from Caleb (or anyone) and when I went in for my installation they still didn't have my hitch. Caleb then told me to come by THE DAY BEFORE my vacation and he'd take care of me. Due to the poor communication and customer service, I cancelled my installation appointment and gave my business to a direct competitor who had me taken care of the next day. However, I still used U-Haul for my motorcycle trailer rental which thankfully was well maintained and in good shape. After getting the trailer, I asked a U-Haul worker which strap-downs he recommended for my trip and I ended up buying some based on his recommendation. Of course, before I could get out of Florida all 4 of them had already broke. Caleb told me that I would receive a discount based on my experience, but of course that didn't happen. Needless to say, I will never be giving this location my business again.

I had truck reserved for 4am. When i arrived and followed directions, i was guided to get the key out of compratment 2. That was a key to a van, not the truck i reserved. I called Uhaul to try to get correct key, but the customer service agent had no work around. So i had to leave and come back at 7am when this location opened. So when i arrived back for the second time, and met with the customer service agent, she looked at me weird,didnt apologize, and turned around and grabbed the correct key off the wall. What??? The correct key was inside the store. There was no way I could have taken the truck at 4am, when i needed it. So i lost three hours of moving time, i woke up early for no reason, and had friends ready to help...and of course they were no too happy. An apology would have been nice. It was obviously an error. Then when i returned the truck, the app notified me to drop the keys in the drop box by the front door. What key box??? Oh the one by the back building that was extremely poorly marked or lit. You should correct the instructions to go to the back building when looking for the key drop box at this location. I would have saved another 30 minutes walking all over the lot looking for the stupid drop box. Thanks Neal Thomas

The worst service I have ever recieved was by a Winter Park,Florida location where they robbed my of my money. I first got to the location and was greeted to the most rude lady at the front on 5/23 around 1230 am. I received a dirty truck and I returned the vehicle back to the location with the required quarter tank. When I received the a charge for 30 dollars on my card the following day i spoke the manager Calib and he told me I never put has to the truck, he basically told me I was lying on the phone. I put the required gas and being called a name as that was the most unprofessional thing anyone has done to me. He told me he was going to call me and never did. When I did call him he hung up on me on the phone. The service I recieved was the worst I have ever been thru. I will tell people on how I was treated .

First truck was full of dirt/sand, smelled bad and seats were very wet. Second truck (replacement for the first which I pretty much immediately brought back) was missing the dolly I rented, and had roaches. Staff was kind and professional, but I do feel that I grossly overpaid ($92 or something like that) for service/rental that felt rather gross overall. I rent Uhaul frequently so just sharing that as a repeat customer.

Don't hold the money on a rental and then do a separate charge when I return the truck. In essence, you took double the amount and I have to wait three days for my bank to release the hold/return. Why not just process the amount you originally held. Very poor.

The two service representatives couldn’t have been better. The guy was the type that you would want working for you. Loved his job, been there 5 years and he couldn’t have been more genuine and professional yet courteous and helpful. His name started with a C. He deserves an atta boy!!!

My trailer was not connected correctly so it flew off my truck while I was driving. When I returned the uhaul at my intended destination, the drop off location was listed same as the pick up (which is not what we discussed). I never received a copy of the contract. There was a fee for dropping at the wrong locations so I called to dispute I was on hold for 35 mins. I paid cash at the first location and wasn’t able to receive my $60 deposit back at the drop off. The Ashville woman who worked for uhaul was amazing but this was a terrible experience from beginning to end. I could’ve been killed or killed someone when the trailer flew off on the highway.

Attempted to do mobile checkin. I provided all of my information prior to picking up my truck. When I arrived I started the process at 9:10am. Then I proceeded to wait for the approval process on my phone forever. At 9:50 I called it quits and had to then complete the whole process manually with the store rep. The store reps told they weren’t sure how long or or who does the electronic approval process. My opinion is it’s bad technology that needs to be removed and debugged. No customer should have to wait longer for mobil checkin than a others going into the store. I saw two customers come and go whilst I sat waiting.

When ordering and making reservations online it was simple. At checkout I received 2 different print outs with what the gas BEFORE hand was. One one showed 3/4 tank full the other showed full tank. So I wasn't sure what level to return the vehicle. Birth receipts had same contract number. Please be forthcoming with customers to make sure they sign off on how much gas is actually in the tank So they don't end up spending more unnecessarily or showing up without the proper fill.

Made a reservation and got to location only to be told they didn’t have the item I reserved and was sent to another location out of the way of where I needed to be. Asked them about the extra miles because this location was farther away from where I needed to be and said that they would discount 10 miles Only to get my emailed receipt and they changed me for all the miles so I had to customer service and sit on hold for over 30 minutes to get a resolution

Kevin from the Altamonte Uhaul has Excellent customer service skills, and found another Truck at the Winter Park Uhaul. The person who took my reservation over booked the rentals- this is now the second time within a year period Uhaul has done this to me. I heard how upset many of your customers were while in your business that day. I told the young lady I did not want this to occur again. Please do not guarentee it will not be a problem if you cannot deliver the service. I was upset, but nice because everyone went beyond job duties. I should have had my rental vehicle at 1:00 pm. Though I did get a 20' truck rated at the 15' price- I still had to drive another 20 minutes to get to Winter Park- way out of my destination since I was moving from Deland, FL to Altamonte. However, Peston at the Winter Park Uhaul Excellent, definitely customer centered. This all took until 2: 45pm- the individuals who were helping me move left because I did not arrive to Deland, FL until 3:30 PM. They had other obligations at church to attend at 6pm.It was a simple move that should have taken an hour or hour and half. I now had to find another person to help. Now a move that should have taken an hour or hour and half, became a move nightmare, finding another person and done at 8:00 PM. This was frustrating because I had to be to work Monday and be there at 5:00am. I thanked everyone and was given a fifty dollar credit back to me. However, this seems like a pattern and the second time this happened to me- plus the inconvenience of traveling to another location. I should have gotten the Truck Rental free, and asked to fill the vehicle up with the same amount of gas prior to leaving Winter Park Uhaul. Please, re-train or evaluate the services you guarantee to your customers. I do not feel the organization should place their employees in a position with the Public that creates a hostile environment. I was saddened by the way people spoke to them, and they went beyond job duties to satisfy the customer. Always kindness, Robyn Dougherty

I checked In online but when I went to get the keys the guys had no idea that I could check in online and wouldn’t give me the keys until we went through the process. Then when he saw that I had checked out the vehicle myself online he was very confused. How can the employees not know about the services they offer? Over all, the online check in process costed me more in time than it saved. Won’t do it again. You should make sure your employees are informed on process that will o oh make their job easier and save time.

My appointment was at 9 am, I arrive at 8 50am , I called several times and not once I was called back , I arrive at 6:50pm to pick up the car and the car was not finish, the salesperson finished the job , I left the store at 815pm, ask to talked to manager hes answer was for me to return tomorrow, I am supposed to take another day off or hours from my job for him to take care of me. I will let this awful service in every social media that I can. I pay $413.00 I deserved better customer service and at least an explanation from the manager instead of him telling the salesperson for me to return the next day, I live by downtown Orlando not next door.

Well. As above, the truck was at 5/8 when I started. I went about 120 miles (allotment was 133). I put $25 of gas in it. When I got to drop off he said it’d be an additional charge to fill it up. I explained. He said he couldn’t t do anything and told me to go fill it up. I did. Another $15. I drove back and said “I hope I’m not now over the allotted miles”. He said “you’ll pay more if you are”. Um. I’m not used to rude employees. Anywhere. Especially after a very long stressful day. I simply asked “are we good?” He said “sure”. That was it. Not impressed.

I declined insurance coverage and at the end the guy tried to charge me for it. Very dishonest. My bet is he gets 50% of customers that just pay the extra charge. This guy is a scammer.
