I was assessed a bogus damage charge after I returned the vehicle. No damage happened to this vehicle while in my care. It was in my vision at all times and there was no impact on the drivers door where this damage supposedly happened. I will not rent from this facility again and I would highly discourage anyone else from doing so.

To elaborate on the questions above, This location overall is average. I used the online check in system which was a joke. I should have dealt with the humans and not the technology. The truck wasn't parked in the right spot according to the map, they app itself is hard to navigate with little to no instructions and I couldn't get the lock off of the truck. I had to ask for assistance twice. The guy told me yeah these locks are hard to get off because they are old. What if I was picking it up when the office was closed? The equipment was very cleaned but the truck I had obviously needs some engine work. I would recommend this place to a friend with caution. There was an issue with the gas and the gas tank when I returned it. My fault for not taking a picture of it or speaking up. It was a hair under half tank when I picked it up so I returned it the same and he tried to charge me $14.00. I decided to take the truck to the gas station less then a mile away and put in $4.00 of gas to bring it to the line. He tried to tell me it would cost about the same if not more for me to go and come back then just to charge the 14 to my account. He had already closed out my account, which I asked him to when I had changed my mind and decided to get the gas myself. When I returned I asked for a copy of my previous close out statement, he couldn't find it. He told me he either threw it away or gave it to me, he didn't give it to me. I said well then it must be right there in the garbage. He said I looked at the one on the top that is as far as I am looking. So since the garbage was right there, I decided to look. There was a bunch of other peoples trip information but not mine. So just an FYI, your information is not secure at this location since I could pull it right out of the trash that was right next to me. At this time I was a bit angry and as much as I don't agree with this experience, the employee, Travis held his composure and was just doing what Uhaul trained him to do. Just watch out for shadiness and make sure you document and take pics of everything.

They said my reservation wouldn't work for the vehicle it was reserved for. Poor customer service and the general manager refused to follow the advice of the corporate contact.

My equipment (a trailer ) was not available at my reservation time. The staff was helpful but only option was going to another location 2 1/2 hrs later to get one. With no other alternative, went to the second location. That one too was not available at the time specified. Eventually, after 3 hrs delay and having to travel to multiple facilities I did get a trailer(smaller than reserved) Both locations (Silverton Rd and 12th St) were short staffed. Taking time to assist me with finding a trailer to use ( that was reserved - not a walk-in) was not their priority. I was really disappointed with not having my reservation honored.

Policy to refund customers for unused gas they purchased. I was given a van with 1/4 tank of gas. I filled it up not knowing the mileage. Cost me $66. I returned the vehicle with tank 7/8 full after 75 miles driven. Was told I wouldn’t be refunded for any unused gas.

I was told that I could drop the trailer off at a different location so I didn't have to drive back so far but after doing so I incurred additional charges for doing that, this is not what I was told or I would have driven the few miles back to the original rental location

I wanted to give a poor rating because of one little, turns out it cost us an extra $20, problem. Upon initial reservation, I requested same size as previous rental. Didn't realize it at the time of pick up, but when we loaded the truck with the same amount as previous truck, that was used to load a storage unit thus the request for same size, it was obvious that this truck was much bigger. Somewhat of a challenge to secure everything when there is so much space. Truck cost us more, $20 more, than the first rent. The personel at this location are really an asset to u haul, so had to still give an excellent rating.

Drop off after hours was confusing. The web site never responded to my attempt to register my return. I called but I was told that the wait would be 15 minutes or so. Way too long to hang around a deserted Location....yes? I gave the key back and left. Called later and spoke almost immediately to a very helpful woman who got it squared away.

Staff did not understand how to operate your system very well tried over charging me. Had I not done this before and known how you get charged I would’ve been taken advantage of. I was very displeased with the staff. The truck itself was great and exactly what I needed.

I had the trailer hitch installed and everything was good until the day I picked up the trailer. The lights on the trailer wouldn't come on. The reason, the positive wire was connected to the negative on the battery. It was quickly fixed once realized. In the future, you might want to test the wiring before calling it good.

The tow dolly was missing the pin that holds the ramp in place, the ramp was instead kept in place with wire. The alignment on the truck was off severally. Both of these items made the 1,000+ mile drive all the more difficult.

The guys working there were very professional and polite but we had a couple of non personal issues with this location. First, we had pre registered when we rented a trailer on line but when my husband got there the only visible salesperson there was tied up answering questions for a customer. That person took more than 40 minutes to ask questions and didn't even rent anything. Your location definitely needs a policy that would have another sales person available when circumstances are such that a customer is going to have to wait for an extended period. Also, we paid $10 to rent blankets. When we arrived home we realized we did not have the blankets. I tried to call the store but could only get through to a call center. Someone there said they would deliver a message to the store RE: the blankets. When we returned the trailer my husband mentioned it and was told the receipt would be emailed to us. It was, but the $10 was not deducted. I tried again to call the store but could only get the call center, so once again they said they would message the store. I talked to customer service to start whatever paperwork was needed for a refund. Everyone has been very polite about the situation and professional. I am not upset. Mistakes happen, that's just human. It's how a business handles a mistake that is important and I have no doubts but that this slight oversight will be taken care of. I just wanted to explain why you did not get the 5 star rating, and I want to make sure that does not reflect poorly on the friendly individuals who helped us there and on the phone.

The side mirrors on this vehicle were NOT ADJUSTABLE at all. I verified this upon return of the truck. This caused extremely dangerous driving conditions, as I had to drive on the freeway for close to 100 miles. I was terrified the entire time, as I could not see anything on either side except for the sides of the truck that I was driving. When I picked up the truck, the facility was very crowded. There were no instructions on how to operate the mirrors inside the truck. I realized they are manual, so I attempted to move them to a safe driving position. They moved, but they had specific notches where they would lock into place. When moved to a safe spot, going over a small bump in the road caused them to snap back to an unsafe spot. The most troubling part was that when returned, the employee acknowledged that several trucks have 'that problem' and that they would 'look into it.'

For customers who do the preregistration have a separate line for checking out the equipment. Waiting in the line for 20mins just get to the counter and already having the preregistration done.

Turn signal unit came out during trip. Had to stop, and re affix in the bumper. Left front tire light came on and said was low. Filled it to specs in middle of trip, light did not go off. Location and personnel was great and accommodated my needs.

I received 4 phone calls from uhaul, different days, to inform me my locations for pick up have changed. Locations changed 4 times! And then I pick up uhaul and get ready to load furniture and saw the entire inside of truck was completely wet. Truck ran funny as well. Wasn't a great experience but at least counter guy was friendly.

He also did it right then and did not make me come back which i thought would happen so I appreciated him very much. I would NOT recommend the 76 station on 12th street though! Those guys are idiots and we lost an entire day of moving because of those idiots ! Do not use gas stations for your service - gas stations are run by teenage idiots.

The person who checked me in struggled to navigate the computer system and took almost a half hour at the counter. Then when time to hook up the trailer, struggled again to get it hooked up. I had a woman at the West Salem location where I reserved at my last visit who was able to hook me up in 5 minutes. Overall I was at the location for over 45 minutes. Very frustrating experience.

The driver's seat of the truck I had should have been able to go back another 2 inches. There was room for it to go back, the passenger seat was able to go all the way back, but the driver seat was prevented to go back further. It made for an uncomfortable trip.

Bumper was cracked and broken. Vehicle clean. Check-in pretty easy, although the online check-in I set up did not work. I specifically referenced the measurements of the 17 foot van I found online and asked the clerk if my 7 foot item would fit. She said yes. It did not. Not by a long shot. The online measurements said clearance height was 7'3. To account for the garage style roll-up door, plan on only having 6'3 inch clearance. It was a huge hassle.
