Was told on the phone, and by a employee in store that a 15' box truck would work for a 10x20 storage unit in one trip. I was skeptical but my unit wasn't but 3/4 full. Well, it took me two trips with the truck completely packed. Cost me an additional $160 in mileage charged and after arguing with a employee about it, he only offered $20 off. Also rented a car trailer to tow a vehicle and after I ASKED if it will fit 33â€ tires the employee said no, and that I would have to purchase tires straps which they did not have in stock. I will not rent from uhaul againâ€¦KENNETH E.

The furniture dollys, upright dolly and furniture pads were not in the truck and I almost drove away with none of them. The on-line check in was annoying and time consuming. The trick was used, had scratches all over the outside, and cigarette burns on the seats and paneling, but the photos I was asked to accept were of a brand new I scratched truck. The moving help never arrived. And the truck was very closed to empty-on-gas when I got it.Kathleen H.

Have employees that care. The person that made our reservation had short answers to our questions. We got the filthiest 15 ft truck on the lot. It smelled. The back was so dusty. I had to try and wipe the ledge. The driver door was hard to close. When we returned the truck, I told the person that it was one of the worst trucks we have ever rented. It was dirty and smelled. It was a bad experience. He just walked away. We watched as he didn't even clean it before taking it in the back.STEVEN E.

There is a concern that I wanted to share: 1) During pick-up the Gas was just BELOW 3/4 of a tank but the contract said 7/8 - so this was my first issue 2) During return I filled the gas to 7/8 as the contract indicated but the return agent wanted to charge me a GAS SURCHARGE. When I explained the short gas amount on the way out and then met the contract fill-return-goal, I said "NO-Way", to which the agent said, Oh, I'm sorry, I made an error and did not include the ~ ~ 17.00 surcharge, If it was only one issue I would not think twice about this but the short-gas amount on the outbound AND inbound transaction seems like someone is gaming the system at the customers expense. Would you please have this issue looked into as I value U-Haul and want to keep high-regard for this brand but this was a concern of ethics - I would appreciate a follow-up email to this concern - Thank you - Jules Kurtz firstname.lastname@example.orgJules K.

Reserved a trailer with ramp, they called me the day for pickup and they don't have and promise me to give discount. Did not get discounted price and the trailer that was reserved.. Replacement trailer was hook to our truck and not familiar with the size of trailer. Parking lot was not organized, very hard to get out, trucks are park everywhere and blocking exits.MARVIN D.
I did notice that the "Check Engine Light" was on. That should be looked into. Also, a more accurate notation of the amount of gas in the tank would make a user more comfortable. e.g. The documentation reported a quarter tank of gas, but it was visibly less than that. Fortunately, when I returned it after putting gas in, in came to just under a quarter and they were okay with that...but again, it was reported as a quarter tank.William L.

During my moving process and interaction with the employees, 4 out of the 5 employees at this location didn't even greet me. The customer service was one of the worse experience in my recent history. Not sure if location at fault or uhaul HQ but I marked â€œmore than 2 daysâ€ when setting up rental, confirmed I â€œunderstood a uhaul rep may contact me regarding thisâ€â€¦ we needed it Th, Fri, and most of Sat. Never heard from anyone. Sat morning the location was calling and harassing us at 10am to get the trailer back - no way we could do so, it was full with more trips to make into the late afternoon AS PLANNED.
