The cargo van was great that's why I gave 2 stars instead of 1! However, I was under the impression that $19.99 per day advertisement was true, but it is very misleading. They charge you $1.08 per mile, and you have to refill the tank to the level you got it at. If not they over charge you what the gas prices are for your town. For me they would've charged me $1.00 over the actual price of gas. I rented a cargo van on Saturday at 3:00 pm and returned it on Sunday around 12:00 pm....a total of 21 hours. Less than 24 hours. My final bill was $111.00!! The final bill was a result of Uhaul charging $1.08 per mile, which resulted in $75 plus I accidentally filled the gas tank with a quarter of a tank over the level I got it at, which costed $36. I alerted the Uhaul staff person about over me filling of the gas tank and requested a refund at the actual gas price and surprisingly denied SMH!! So....Uhaul will falsely advertise a $19.99 per day fee on all their trucks/vans, charge you $1.08 per mile on top of the $19.00 "per day" fee, charge you $1.00 more than the actual gas price if you if you don't fill the tank to the level you got it at, but won't give you a refund at the actual gas price if you accidentally overfill the gas tank pass the the level you got it at??? That's bad business on many levels!!!

A chain to retain the trailer to the hitch came off during the ride. Please make sure that chains are securely attached. This was the 2nd time this happened.

Had to change the truck because it had mechanical problems. On the paper it mentioned that it had 1/4 gas tank when it actually has 1/8 of a tank.

The service was nice and the people were trying but at the end of the day it took forever to get my purchase returned after they couldn’t figure out why the taillights on the trailer didn’t work. That could’ve been my car’s fault not theirs. They also did a refund but have not refunded me the full purchase amount so I have to call back.

Was accosted by employee who was unwilling to take the truck upon return. He refused to take the truck despite the drop-off location listed on my contract. He lost his temper, yelled at me, made insulting remarks, and ultimately forced me out of the truck to move it into a location blocking the exit of the facility. I called customer service during the exchange, and thankfully, a customer service representative named Chris was able to talk me through the situation and help handle the aggressive employee. I was shaken by the experience with the employee, but appreciative of Chris's help. I have had positive experiences with U-Haul in the past, so I am hoping this employee was just a bad apple that has not been dealt with yet. I feel it is important to make sure U-Haul is aware of his behavior, as I do not want another customer to have the same experience.

There was one person staffing a very busy location. So many trucks we could not pull in. Wonderful and patient staff person but you need at least two people st this time of year to avoid chaos.

The person who helped was friendly and had useful advice and seemed knowledgeable about the equipment. The only issue was that we never tested the running lights, just the brakes and turn signals which worked fine. The running lights ended up not working and we didn't know till we were on the road.

Did not properly look at my order request, which had been in the UHaul system for about 2 months. I needed the truck for multiple days, and they automatically gave me a 24 hour rental. This resulted in my needing to spend over an hour, while moving, on the phone with UHaul to ensure I could have the truck for the time I needed. This was after I had spoken with UHaul reps on the phone twice prior to the day of pickup to make sure my reservation was correct. It added a lot of unnecessary stress to moving, and additionally ended up with my order costing me more than double what I was originally quoted.

The customer service was great. My only suggestion would be to have better parking for the customers. I had difficulties finding a parking spot for my vehicle while using the UHaul cargo van.

The equipment is a bit dirty, but acceptable. However, the staff is disappointed. Picking up took 45 min. Returning is very disappointed. One person told me to go to Central Square since it is screened on the van, but I rented from here as the reservation detain said to return here. He firmly insisted and said I have to pay location fee if returning it here until the other two staff came in and ensured me that I can return here.
