There were 4 employees â€œworking.â€ I was only person in line. They waited two minutes to help me as they talked about who was swapping shifts with whom. They seemed annoyed I was there. Also, is it permissible to smoke pot at work? The smell was abundant in the garage area and inside the customer service space.colleen S.
Make sure you put down the right miles. Don't lie to the customer about getting a month free storage. When its not free. I was charged 214.00 for storage plus another 71.00 for mileage when the truck said 1000 miles less when I got to my destination. Yea doesn't make any sence right. Help the customer and do not tell them to fo online and make changes. Have good customer service, not sleepy and cranky. Take customers to unit and go over things. This was ridiculous ðŸ˜’ 1/4 tank.of gas? It should be full when you pick it up and clean!! There was coffee spilled all over truck I had to clean up! Couldn't even see through the windshield it was so dirty with bugs. And it cost $500 more for a smaller truck than 18 months ago. Wth?Tanya C.

Staff need to be more friendly, and helping. Also, I was charge an extra $19.12 for gas when I already filled the gas to the proper line as it was when I rented the pickup truck. Might want to look into your staffing and find out why they charging customers for extra gas.. or due a walk through with the customer at the end, when we bring the vehicle back to drop off.Cleavion W.

I was told to go to 3 locations to find a Uhaul before I finally got to a location that actually had the truck I requested. When I finally got my truck it was in terrible condition. The mirrors couldn't be adjusted and really was not safe to drive. On top of it all I ended up getting charged much more than I was originally quoted, including a fuel charge even though I filled the truck right before returning it.JAMES S.

The location of this office is great. The staff could be friendlier, I've used UHaul several times before and the treatment was always more professional, the staff wasn't rude or impolite, just dry, short, mumbling, etc. Could use CS training.LUIS S.

The van interior was dirty with what looked like construction dust. Also only later in the rental when my spouse was driving behind me, we realized the rear brake lights were not working which is really unsafe especially when driving a large unfamiliar vehicle.Jessica C.

I picked up my truck - pleasant experience. I did notice as I drove to my location that the gas tank was not as full as they indicated on my document. It said the truck had 1/4 tank but it did not. It was between 1/8 and 1/4, but closer to the 1/8. I took a picture at 9:31 that morning to document this. I printed the picture later when I was back home so I could bring it in. Uhaul said they would not accept the photo because it was taken 5 hours after check-in. I explained that I took it in the morning but just printed it now. I have the proof on my phone. When I got my email receipt, the showed a charge for gas and the gas indicator was between 1/4 and 1/8. I filled it to 1/4 tank just 3 blocks from the Uhaul center. They claimed it was not at 1/4, it was under. This is a scam....they tell you you started with more gas when you start and tell you the tank was not as full as it was. The justification I got on the phone was that I didn't get the $30 fine for not returning it with the right amount of gas so I should be happy. Well, I am not. I want the fuel surcharge refunded....and they won't do it.Patricia C.

when I checked out the truck the travel wrap bag was open and thrown everywhere. The car was full of cigarette ashes. When I return the car they refused to talk to me instead they were too busy talking amongst themselves even though I was the only person there. As soon as you open the door it smells like weed in the building. Overcharged me for fuel when I filled up the tank to where I got it. Did not refund me when I went under my estimated mileage. I complained today that it was not fair to expect customers to read the fine print about having to do something online, but the employee wouldn't waver the extra fees. I barely ever rent a car, so I did not know there was something I had to do online. Just because I was late through no fault of my own (the Speedway had all pumps closed), I was late with the return, and assumed depositing the key was enough. It's just sleazy to charge customers double like that without some kind of verbal help - something only nasty companies do. You had 2 staff total, this happened before. You need 4 staff on weekends, especially at the end/beginning of the month. The staff work very hard, just 2 of them for 35 return/ check out. This is on U haul not the staff thereSAM S.

I rented a 5x8 trailer from U Haul of Minneapolis, located at 3245 Nicollet Ave, Minneapolis. This was a one way rental and the pickup location was changed twice by U Haul, even though I requested it 2 weeks ahead of time. This location was 25 miles from where we were living, but we had to go through downtown Minneapolis. The original location was only 8 miles. We got to the rental center mid afternoon and to their credit they had my reservation. There were 3 young men at the counter. One was watching a video on his phone at full volume. One was just sitting there talking to some one on his phone. I had my wife with me and all that was coming out of his mouth were F*** bombs. It was embarrassing for my wife, and she and I were very uncomfortable even being there. South Minneapolis is a rough neighborhood. The one who was trying to do the paperwork asked the one watching the video to get the trailer. He initially refused, but finally did so. We took the trailer back to our apartment. When we opened the door the next day to begin loading I found about 20 U haul moving blankets inside. See the picture. I called the number on the contract and told the man who answered about the blankets. He told me to just bring them back. My response was â€œIf you want them come and get them. I have movers showing up in 15 minutes.â€ He told me â€œJust throw them awayâ€ I did just that.BERT N.

The truck was quite dirty inside. The front hood had about 10 squashed bugs on it. The truck cargo area had dried mud everywhere. The interior smelled like smoke. The condition of this truck was quite surprising as I had rented a truck 2 days previous that was very clean inside and out.ALAN J.
I was called and asked to return the trailer I picked up because they gave me the wrong one. I was unable as we were too far along in what we were using the trailer for. Additionally I had the trailer a total of 50 hours, I told them when I Picked it up at 1PM, that I would be returning it by 3PM the date of the pick up and they said that was fine. They called me at 2:50PM, when I was in route, asking when I was going to return the trailer, I told them I was in route. I was then charged a 3rd day. If I had to pay for 72 hours, why are they calling me at 50 hours asking when I was returning it. Very disorganized and I feel like I was overcharged!Sam T.
