I returned the uhaul ONE DAY EARLY. They charged me extra for returning it late. WHAT??????? I don't know what happened. The lady that received the vehicle said I was good to go. I reached out to fix it an got no response.

lady who rented truck to my husband and grandson was told grandson would be using truck but grandfather was paying for it. She said if grandfather was paying for it all the info and rental had to go under his name. i am sure last times we did this my grandson had to show his license and rent info for truck. lady did not even look at grandson's license to see if he had one. i called corporate and was told there is no policy about rental being put under person's name who is paying for it if they are not driving the vehicle..................... she would not alter the way she made us do paperwork at all. very disappointing,

The people behind the counter were not helpful. They didn't answer my questions about insurance until I pressed them for more information. There were not the amount of blankets I had ordered on my reservation. no one offered to help me put the bags of blankets in the truck. My husband later called to ask a question and when he asked another question the person hung up on him.

I called from my storage unit to ask directions. The young man that answered the phone did not know north from south(and that close to the freeway). He did not know which exit off I-5 that the UHaul was(really, work there, I am sure people ask directions all the time) - it's part of your job, get in there and learn it....or google it for the customer- because he should HAVE known. Plus the UHaul themselves could have googled it and had a laminated copy for North or South approach from I-5 kept somewhere near the phone. Even the 800 main line who gave me Lakewood's phone number could have looked it up and kept the customer from more grief. The girl who came out and unhooked the trailer was very nice and carried all the good service for the physical part of my services. KUDOS to her. I truly hope you refer to the recorded phone call and address the issue.

CHANGE YOUR WEBSITE AND PHONE SYSTEM TO SOMETHING THAT ACTUALLY WORKS!!!!! I could not get where I need or what I needed online or by phone. I walked into this location, and even though they were busy, they took care of my needs effortlessly! Great team there!

The paperwork said the truck had more gas in it than it actually did I took a picture before I left the U-Haul center when I arrived back I showed the picture that there wasn't as much gas as the paperwork said there was and I was still charged overages for the gas there wasn't there

The truck I rented had a typical family's worth of household goods in the back and the truck engine sounded terrible since I picked it up, loaded with my stuff it didn't even make it up a hill and I had to back down and speed to make it up. The drivers compartment smelled like fuel which was concerning. The staff seemed completely apathetic about it all.

The online process went very smooth but none of what was contracted was able to be delivered. The website chose a location to get the truck about a mile away from me. Location I had to pick up was 5 miles in the opposite direction, costing me 12 miles in gas and about an extra hour in time. The website told me that a 20' truck was available at the closer location. There turned out to be no 20' trucks available in the Tacoma area and I had to settle for a 17' truck that did not fit my needs. The website told me that I could rent blankets. When I arrived at the rental facility, I was told that there were no blankets available. Will not ever use the website again, and am very disappointed in the level of service provided. Cost me extra money, time, and frustration.

People were very nice. While I was filling up the gas I noticed the gas cap was gone. I told them about it (I used it for 2 hours I know I didn't miss place it because I hadn't touched it) they didn't charge me for it and thanked me for letting them know. I got in and out very quickly. Wish my 18 mile trip wasn't $63 but at least the people working were really nice lol.

The reservations process is horrible! The location has a very limited ability to get what the customer needs. This is the second time I've had this experience and I am going to find another vendor in the future.

The staff was ok, but not knowledgeable. The “RV” trailer I got had no right side tail-lights even though the female helping me said everything was good. She didn't take the time to explain that the “D” rings I intended to use were not strong enough for use, the trailer itself was filthy - I filled two 35 gallon garbage bags with packing materials from the previous user.

I dropped the 10' Truck the same day I rented it, 08/22/2020, at around 9:00 PM. The office was closed, so I parked the truck behind other trucks parked there, and put the key in the key drop-box. It took U-haul 45 days to "find" the truck, and now they are trying to charge me for some $2700 for that rental...

Was very disappointed with Uhaul. Reserved a month before needed and was advised night before pick up the closest location to where I wanted was a hour in the wrong direction. Also requested 7am pick up and was told I couldn't pick up before 9. New location was very good just extremely inconvenient and costed me for additional hours labor to load since I was 3 hours late due to later pick up and hour longer drive. Was also very frustrated with Uhaul bend for the pre-inspection on our vehicle. Never answered phone or returned calls. Regional finally scheduled- when I arrived for appointment- employee was short and rude. Not friendly or helpful at all.

Don't lie to me and say I have to pay another day if I returned it to my drop off location when they open the next day. Moving took all night because of that. Also state the mileage in my contract, which was never once mentioned. I had to make 2 trips because they couldn't provide me with a 15 foot truck, that should be on them on not the customer.

The online/app only checkout did not work correctly, so I ended up going in the store. When I brought the van back the gentleman checking me out incorrectly told me the van went out at a full tank; and when I showed him proof of that not being the case he basically called me a liar. So I had to go inside to speak to a manager about the situation to get it corrected. I think basic customer service training for employee's would be beneficial.

Staff is rude. Stood at the counter waiting with my son and the lady couldn't be bothered to stop her personal conversation and joking with her coworker to help us. Then it was nothing but attitude when she was working with us. She was upset I hadn't downloaded my license before coming it and made me try even though she said the reception was bad in their office. After 15 minutes of this she finally came around and used her machine to do so. Why wait that long? I didn't have time before coming in because it was a last minute rental and was coming from work. Maybe try to be more understanding of peoples time and situations.

Customer service was good. Vehicle needed air in one tire. I was charged damage coverage which I opted out of on my reservation. Quoted $31. Charged $48. No copy of final bill provided. Contract and paperwork delivered by email on phone impossible to read. Entire online reservation process very frustrating!

Not charge them after hour fees when they drop off the trailer within business hours. Not give them the run around when you try to get your over charge credited. Not be super shady about the whole situation. Not change reservation times the day of without contacting the renter about it. Literally the entire exchange for a one hour rental is the most ridiculous bullshit I have had to deal with your crappy company. If there was anywhere else to go to rent certain types of trailers I would go there in a heart beat. I hate your company with a passion.

I really appreciated how friendly and profession everyone was. I also like that I was able to work with actual people instead of having to rely on an app. Every time I've been to this U-Haul location, the folks have always been really helpfu.

I honestly looked for another location because I truly DREAD going into this location. I was even trying to figure out somewhere else to rent from. The employees are always so sharp and CRABBY!! SO CRABBY!! Since you asked...I have to let you know a couple weeks ago I was getting a truck and asked an employee outside for help locating it (because I didn't DARE ask anyone INSIDE for help) and the employee was like “Sure ma'am! Let me show you where it is!!” and I thought “WHAT!? Someone NICE works here?!!” He was SO pleasant and when I turned my truck in last night he was there again! I made sure to ask his name: JOSH!!! Ok guys-Josh is awesome! So...SO friendly and kind. What a gem you have there! I'm huge on customer service and your other employees are lacking terribly in this department. Oh wait! There is a skinnier African American girl that was AWESOME last time too! Shoot! She was so cool. I think she had braids? VERY smiley and cheerful. So I take that back about them all... You just have to know how bad it is...you have to be losing customers because of them. Oh!!! SHOOT! Last time I went to pick up/drop off my truck I went inside and STOOD THERE while your employee sat talking to her supervisor about how to do the deposit ON SPEAKER when I and 2 other people walked in. PROCEEDED to TELL said supervisor that a line just came in and they CONTINUED TO TALK!? I'm like “are you FREAKING kidding me?” I really didn't think it could get ANY worse here. Where's Josh? I'm not forgetting his name because God forbid I have to go there again-I'm looking for HIM! (And bringing popcorn and cotton candy to this circus).

More guidance from staff for customers when explaining costs, on line procedures right from the beginning of the process. Face masks make it harder to communicate but shouldn't be an excuse to limit verbal explanations. Even guidance on how to find your rental truck. They just gave me the key and said truck is on the lot. Didn't explain that keys had the number of the truck or where the numbers were found on the truck. Also, when moving my truck from the lot the side view mirror on passenger side was interlocked with the truck next to it. If I had moved forward faster there would have been damage probably to both trucks. Don't set up the customer to start his day with trying to explain how he damaged your trucks. I would only recommend this place to my friends and family who live in Lakewood only because of its convenient location. I might have them try out the other Lakewood locations to see how well they take care of their customers.

There were two people working however only the guy was checking rentals in and out and cleaning them, the girl kept complaining about smoke and how she couldn't help with things outside. She could not check me in with my original reservation so bad to create a new one that was more expensive and would not drop the price so I was charged more than the original price

I rent many trucks from UHaul in my business. I have never been forced to buy the optional insurance or not get the truck the day of the job. Upon returning the truck the clerks at this location, they refused to check the truck in even just to verify mileage and fuel. Most my Haul experiences are very good, and not forced to buy extras to complete my job. I would hope I could be refunded for what I did not want, thank you Steve and Wendy Long

Not happy with the over night charge.. I dont appreciate it all to get double charge to keep a over nite charge .. you need to change that policyholder.. Initially I had a problem with the phone only process, specifically with signing in to get the vehicle. But after a call to uhaul it was sorted out and they could walk me through the process. Returning the truck was quite easy.

I was supposed to pick up the trailer at 10 o'clock the day before I was supposed to drive across the country. They said it was available when it was en route. I then had to wait for 6 hours with the hope they showed up. I am beyond frustrated and will be looking elsewhere for my moving needs. I would like to speak with someone about either a refund or getting my money back partially due to us having to wait 6 hours before we could get a trailer.

The wait lines were so long seemed like total chaos. My wife and I were trying to download our ubox. Was told it was ready showed up waited 30 minutes to have access to it.
