Staff appeared to be baffled by the computer--did not know how to use the software, which made the transaction VERY slow. Location did NOT have the equipment reserved, and did not offer an alternative. At first, difficult to find any employee-we wandered around, looking for someone to assist. STAFF NEEDS TRAINING! Let's talk about this rental someone stole the fuel from several of the rental trucks I was lucky I ran out of fuel a 1,500 feet from rental office had to push truck to a driveway walk back to rental service we returned with fuel and watch it leaking out then police showed up saying that the tags was reported stolen until he seen a u hall rep was there finally got a van that had fuel in it was back in 45 minutes with no kind bonus for pushing there truck across traffic but all in all the reps at this center we're great guysAmos C.

No negative comments on the locations. Some critical comments on the corporation. I get it that you are going paperless, but I never immediately received the email with my contract when I picked up the equip at approximately 130 pm on Saturday, Nov 20 in Los Osos, CA. It came at 5:15 AM the next morning. Therefore, I was unable to check my beginning odometer to see if I exceeded the allotted 158 miles. I had to call to find out that that night, and your system kept hanging up on me. I finally reached someone this morning, and they told me. Why can't you put a sticker - a physical sticker - in the vehicle with starting odometer? That would help the customer. I actually made a couple of wrong turns with the equip, and by the time I turned it in, I was at 159 miles. I was not charged in Fresno for the extra 1 mile, but you should have people PUT A STICKER WITH BEGINNING ODOMETER IN THE VEHICLE IF YOU INSIST ON GOING PAPERLESS! ¡Gracias!Sean B.

I got overcharged. I rented a pickup truck for $19.99 for 4 hours, $25 for a insurance, $.79 per mile. I drove a total of 26 miles. The truck was on empty, and I was told if I bring it back with a quarter tank I would get a credit of $42. It wasn't a quarter tank , but an eighth of a tank, more than it was when I picked it up. Without any credit for gas I estimate my cost should have been $65.54 ($19.99+$25+ 20.54), I was charged more than $80. I will call that location to to attempt to get a credit. The general manager helped us with pickup and was extremely friendly and professional. The Uhaul representatives on the phone could learn a thing or two from this guy. It's a bit a drive for me but I will happily use this location again due to my positive interactions with the manager. And he also has a really nice 1967 Caprice.Stephen A.

I got there early and didn't notice but the can was dirty. Food crumbs, a tissue and someone's vaping device. Lol. The window had what looked like coffee or spit all over the inside window. I Lysol'd everything. Washed the truck and detailed the inside of the truck. I shouldn't have left without taking pictures or letting staff now, but since I already drove off and didn't notice until I got home; I had to pay $20 to wash and detail the pickup. So 8t 2as kind of a pricey endeavor. About a hundred bucks for under 40 miles and 4 hours. I don't wanna rate the staff poorly. I don't know who dropped the ball, the folks at the register were great. I shouldn't have had to detail the truck for you. But my fault for not advising the staff. Just wanted to point out that you might want to be more diligent about cleaning the trucks or others won't be so nice in the review. Thanks.ZACARY N.

I dropped off the truck on time, with fuel and on time. My truck was due back by 1:45 p.m. I had it there by 1 p.m. I handed the key to the representative and was told I'd receive a receipt by email. At 5:53 p.m. I had a voice-mail from the representative from the rental location asking me if I would need my rental longer because they believed that still had it!!!!!! I lost it, see people who you all deal with have so many burdens that weigh so heavily on them, problems that they carry unshared because no one asks how they are or cares. This issue was "the straw that broke the camels back!" I can't handle unfinished business or assumptions that involve my reputation. I drove back to the rental location only because after calling the "customer service line" I was speaking to someone who just didn't get it. All he offered was "to write down my issue!" That's all he offered! So I went there and cried while I explained the problem and showed them that the truck was on their property and they had the key. So David told me that he'd check it in and email my receipt to me. Which he did. David was patient and concerned. He saw that I was very upset and handled the problem not only professionally but humanly. I wish this hadn't happened but it did. Please teach your customer service phone reps to be understanding, at least!!Juliet P.

Entrance signs. There is a sign saying returns enter here, but nothing saying where I should go for pick up? I was a bit confused at first and I think the sign should have said pick up and return. Just a thought, other then that this location has been fast and friendly.Roy D.

The service was excellent, except for one thing. This is not a complaint, I'm a businessman, so I'm always looking at the customer service aspect. I had gone into the Blackstone location the day before to rent this trailer. I'm not gonna tell you everything that went wrong, but the young man behind the counter was simply lost. He got my phone number wrong three times, he got my address wrong, and he got my email wrong. It just went on and on. Then he told me what the price was going to be, which he said was $304.80 for the day. I said, what?! He knew he had got it wrong, but instead of telling me the price again he turned the screen around so I could see it. There was a list of at least 10 items on that and I said I'm just renting a trailer which I believe is $26 a day. His response was, oh you didn't need the trailer hitch? At that point a gentleman came in and the young man widely turned it over to him from that point on the service was professional, and polite. So I had reserved this trailer for 730 the following morning, and I when I went over to the Ventura Street location to pick it up, that young man behind the counter said it was canceled. And I said well I'm here so obviously it's not canceled. He said no you booked it for yesterday and you didn't show up it was canceled. So I asked, does it show what time I was in there, he shook his head. I said I was in there yesterday afternoon at about 3 o'clock, so how could I reserve a traitler at 3 o'clock in the afternoon for 730 that morning approximately eight hours earlier. He just got defensive, and said well they sent you an email. Obviously the young man from the day before put in the wrong day. If there's ever a problem in a transaction like this, I do nothing with my customers but apologize for the inconvenience, it doesn't even matter if it was their fault or mine. Customer service is paramount. So I was ready to go hook up the trailer, and I don't remember his name but he was the boss out there yesterday, and he's been over backwards to make sure everything was working properly. The left-hand blinker on the trailer was not working so he brought in his meter to check my fuses. Look through my owners manual, and finally got to the fuse it was under the hood, and he figured out that the fuse I just pulled out a little bit. Very very professional and accommodating. I did bring the problem up to him from the day before, and he apologized for that and said they had almost all new people over there. I will absolutely return Uhaul, probably this coming weekend, I just want you to be aware of a pretty serious problems that exist in customer service.
