Jose G.I tried to do my pick up through the website and it was a massive waste of time. I'll never use it again. The website showed a brand new, clean, undamaged van. It took me an hour to identify damage and update your photos. I had to remove someone else's garbage from the van. The employees seemed inconvenienced when i asked them to help with anything. I ended up having to complete my pick up at the desk because the website operations were failing and the fuel level was inaccurate. Upon returning, the fuel gauge wouldn't move until i had way overshot the amount of fuel i had to put in by about $25 and uhaul was only willing to reimburse me for $15. Good scam. Why don't you just fill up the tank so we don't have to play a guessing game? I'll be working harder to get a friend with a truck next time.

Musa M.No terms or service was provided to me before the rental. It was my first time using U-Haul service and I didn't know I won't be able to add insurance afterwards. There should be an agreement form of some kind before lending the vehicle over and explanation; especially if there is some litigation liability involved. The workers were fine at this location, but shame on the company for not providing that information prior.

YOLANDA H.When I picked up the truck the gas tank was empty. The display indicated 3 mile until the gas was gone. As soon as I put it in drive it dropped to 2 miles. This forced me to go to a gas station as close as possible and pay much higher rates for gas and considering the gas prices are at extreme highs that was a major inconvenience. To add to that I had to try to figure how much gas I would use in advance in a vehicle I had never driven before going to a place I had never gone before. This made me late to meet the person waiting for me to purchase the washer. This also caused me to have to go to the gas station more than once which added mileage on and time onto my trip. I also ended up returning the truck with more gas than I picked it up with because guessing in a vehicle I had never driven before was extremely difficult. I am sure the business loves this tactic as they make more money off their customers not only in mileage but also in free gas. But it is taking advantage of your customers. I am a single mother of 5. I was hit extremely hard by the covid pandemic. Making an already difficult situation even tougher. I rented this truck because our washer gave out and I had no help financially or physically to get a washer. I found a used one online and needed the truck to pick it up. I was barely able to afford the washer. Being nickel and dimed by the uhaul company felt like such an insult to injury on an already tight budget.

Omar A.I called in after i had made a reservation to see if the trailer came with tie down straps and spoke to Megan and she said yes that all the trailers come with everything to tie down . When i get the trailer and Marleti Flores says your ready to go i asked her about the tie down straps and she said that they don't come with the trailer that i would have to buy them and i told her that i called after i had made the reservation and spoke to Megan and she said that they came with tie down straps and she said nobody by the name of Megan works there and that if they don't pick up the call gets routed to somewhere else but I'm sorry they don't come with Tie Down Straps . Luckily I had some tie down straps if not i would of had to buy some . If in one area they provide the tie down straps with the trailers then all the areas should provide tie down straps not just in that one area .

Michael T.First, I wasn't supposed to pick up from Hayward. I had a 9am reservation from San Leandro, but when I got there, the facility was closed. Customer service said they didn't even have a vehicle for my reservation and the closest available was Hayward. So, I went to Hayward. Agent says gas tank is full and to bring it back full. But, when I started the van, the gas light came on; tank was empty. Went back inside. Another agent told me he would find another van with gas. After searching, he then tells me he cannot find one with gas. Due to gas thefts, they keep their vans empty. Hmmm... why then did the first agent not know that? Why did the confirmation/receipt printout show F on the gas gauge? Why did the second agent try to find another van with gas before telling me about gas thefts? Get your facts straight the first time. Don't jerk around your customers. Have some respect and courtesy for their time.

My wife had to use her phone light so could see the gages on dash while driving.A/c nob was stuck on high and could not turn off. Attendant had to use pliers to turn it off then it didnt work as i drove in 87 degee wheather. Reported issue before and at drop off and was told...well it works now and a Manager would call. Still no call
