I have not received an email with the bill adjustment yet. Taking too long. Truck key required special treatment by not inserting all the way. Driver door was out of alignment and was difficult to close.Paul G.
The staff member who I checked in with when picking up the truck was, without doubt, the rudest person I've ever dealt with. He clearly hates his job and everyone who comes into that location. He was unclear and argumentative about insurance, contract start and end times and failed to show me anything about how the truck operated or assess it for damage before accepting it. He ultimately walked away from me when asking perfectly reasonable questions.Andrew H.
I booked the carton van at 10 am. I arrived the Saab Inc to get the vehicle. But it was closed, I called the phone number and they told me it will take him 25 minutes to get to the place and open the office. I waited in the chilly weather outside for 40 minutes. No news if the guy. I called Uhaul and they shifted my rental to another location which I took another Uber to that place to pick up the vehicle. I had movers who I had contradicted for 10:30 and I had to pay more than $200 because of being almost one hour late.OMAID S.

Very bad costumer service. I left my bag in one of their trucks because I was told that was my rental it it was not. When I called the store to ask someone to. Heck for me I was transferred to the main central phone center. I called 3 times in 2 hours and this location or the manager never call me back to tell me if they check for my purse. When I arrive to speak with someone regarding my lost purse, I was told the van where I left it has been rented. They did not know the van number or who rented even I told them where the van was parked. When trying to make phone calls to clients who rented after me, the lady did not know how to use the phones. Seriously. I wasl told I would receive a call from manager but never did. Horrible experienceLUIS G.

The vehicle was new (12,300 miles) so it rode well on highway. But, the right rear tail light was out, which was not obvious until I was on my way home from the U-Haul office. No brake light on the right side, and no directional on the right rear side. This made highway driving dangerous when changing lanes. So to answer your question on how to improve: you need to do quick inspections of the vehicles before renting them out. But thank you for a good experience. I had tried to rent from Penske and was treated poorly.Scott M.

The Uhaul truck i was issued broke down five minutes after driving away from lot. I called the office in Falls Church VA and was put on hold for an hour after advising them of the broken down truck, which was blocking traffic. I also called roadside assistance and it took them 1 hour and 30 minutes to get to my location, I hired movers at $150 an hour and had to compensate them $300 as an extra cost during the 2 hours I wasted waiting for help from Uhaul. After not receiving any response, I took an Uber to the Falls Church location for resolution. This is unacceptable customer service and I would not recommend this service to anyone.LORENZO P.

I was quoted a mileage rate of .79/mile and at the counter was told it was $1.09/mile... left the tank full and received the van with 3/4 full, but received no credit. The van was quite dirty and I didn't complain as we were in hurry. This is the third UHaul I've rented this year and I have to say, I wasn't feeling very appreciated. That difference in mileage rate between what I was promised and received was significant. Disappointed.
1. I reserved everything online, but I had to go verify everything again while at the counter. I thought that I'd be able to enter a code and pick up the truck without interacting with anyone. (The app was confusing.) 2. Even though I reserved 4 furniture dollies, I was initially told that I would probably just get 2. 3. The guy who delivered my truck to me put 2 of the 4 dollies on the truck and told me to get the other 2, instead of putting all 4 on the truck, himself. When I asked him for a hand, he told me sarcastically asked me if I wanted him to help me move, too. I said that having the truck stocked with the dollies was his job, not mine. 4. I got into an accident while in the truck and was unable to get the location UHaul place on the phone. 5. When I called into the central UHaul hub for help with the accident, it took a long time for the operator to find the information I needed. Additionally, she gave me incorrect information, telling me that I didn't have coverage for the other vehicle, which led me to have to supply my own information.Joshua G.

I should have known better, but I attempted to use the 24/7 feature at a non-U-Haul location and it didn't work. Arrived to a note from U-Haul stating the location would open 2 hours later, then spent 30 minutes on hold to speak to someone. The rep was very kind and helpful, rectifying the issue quickly with updating the reservation. Once I got the truck everything was fine. The truck itself needs an alignment. Driving straight, the steering wheel sits at about 11am.BRYANALAN R.

Desk personnel always speaks in terse vernacular, only reason I use this location is that pickup trucks are usually available there. I rent a once a month for the last six months and not once have I received a "good morning " or any greeting at all. The paper said the gas tank was 3/4 and when I checked it was only 1/2 full so I told one of the guys and he took a picture and said he was going to fix it. When I returned the truck I got charged for 5 gallons of gas. Not right at all, I called costumer service and I waited for over 45 min and I end up hanging up.Karla F.

This particular location was fine, but overall, the second bad experience I've had with Uhaul's booking system. I arrived to return the van and the app simply did not work. At the point where it requests a photo of the odometer and fuel, I could take a picture, submit it to the app, and it would simply freeze for a second and reset to the previous screen. With this not working, I called customer support, sat on hold for 20 minutes and then was told the current wait was over an hour (seriously? why is that not the first thing that the automated system tells you?). I was about ready to simply take the picture for my own records and leave and call back later, but next I gave the chat a try. The chat was a little more responsive (about ten minutes) but they simply told me to do exactly that and just leave it. I know this is no one person's fault, everyone who I actually got a chance to interact with (in store and via chat) was extremely helpful, but overall, after a previous bad experience and then sitting in this van in the rain for an hour f*cking around with my phone, I'm going to go straight to Budget next time (they were the one's who bailed me out when you told me the day before a cross country move that you don't allow vans to travel cross country, which was a tad annoying since I was able to make that reservation online at least two weeks ahead (again, seriously? that's so easy to not do, why would your website even be built to allow a reservation that violates your policy, this isn't even an availability issue, I could understand that)).Samuel M.
