Rented trucks and trailers from Uhaul for years with no issues. I guess this journey was my turn to have trouble!! Picked up a car carrier trailer that seemed fine, but did notice new electrical tape on the wiring harness. Transported my car with no issue however on my drive to return the trailer a wheel bearing froze up one of the 4 wheels. Once the trailer was made operational it was dark and found the lights would go on/off on every bump in the road.

Both the side mirrors were difficult to adjust and rotate to the proper position. A WD40 spray or similar product would have made it easier to move.

Pickup truck bed should have a spray on bed liner which covers edge to edge, (with pop-outs for tie downs id needed). The drop in bed liner did not cover the tailgate seam between the gate and the bed very well. The liner was coming loose at bed connection next to the tailgate. Also, very difficult to get mulch out of tailgate/bed connection. Some trucks have a larger gap... Would be wonderful if pickup truck with dump capabilities was available for rent. Make it much easier to haul mulch, dirt, etc.

Medium size box quality is pathetic. this was not the case in 2018. many boxes handle broke while carrying. I think you can charge more but retain the quality!!!

Out key was bent/twisted and needed another. It’s difficult getting in touch with the pick up location without physically going there. The automated phone system is okay (however, the one evening we couldn’t get through), but you should be able to call the local store directly.

I received only two of seven electronic receipts for the trucks we rented at the Falls Church U-Haul (6) and Alexandria (1). Here are my reservation numbers: 85674912 - Have receipt from Falls Church, VA Need receipts for following:from Falls Church, VA 86059996 85674756 85675224 85674335 85674624 85675043 -- Receipt received from Alexandria indep dealer Jt Enterprises.. In addition, the price for these rentals for our annual Scout fundraiser through mulch deliveries were $200 - $235 compared to $135 - $178 last year (McLean Self Storage, VA). Seems like a very large increase per truck.

Customer service agents were great. Had a small problem with the lights on the trailer the quickly corrected with a new cable.

The van was great for our purposes and worked well, yet the cabin was quite dirty. We needed to clean before heading out. No parking for our car made it difficult. At the time of return we were refused confirmation that the vehicle was returned in good shape and with the right requirements.

Although there was a big empty lot with spaces for over 50 cars the facility would not allow me to leave my car parked there during my rental period. I was told to go park across the street in a shopping center parking lot where there were signs stating no parking and towing enforced. I do not understand how a UHaul facility would not allow parking. What is the expectation of that location? People don’t walk or take the metro to pick up a rental truck. And there was no mention when I booked that I would not be able to park. I did not call to inquire because every other place I have rented from has had parking. Overall this was the worst UHaul experience I have ever had and I will never recommend renting from this location to anyone.

The fuel tank was at 1/4 which was very inconvenient. No one wants to have to stop for gas first thing on moving day.

The staff at this location was the most accommodating and helpful staff that I have had the experience to work with. They should be recognized by U haul for their service.

Adjust the system to not lock up my reservation with the tow hitch being too light for a 5x8 trailer. Its the wrong size on website in my profile, but don't jam the pos, let me know my info is wrong so I don't wait half an hour to check out the trailer. Took 45 min to check out even with pre-check in done in advance.

Drop off was odd. No receipt, no proof I dropped it off or the condition in which it was dropped or confirmation of fuel. They just said to leave it. I called U-Haul to confirm and they put a note on my account. Was told I’d get an email when the truck was eventually checked in at the end of the day. I never did.

The uhaul has a leak in the ceiling. None of my items were damaged but the boxes were soaked and fell apart when I lifted them.

Great service by the service people. They were very flexible when I had to change my order several times and remained courteous and patient. The Trailer hook-up service person was very professional.

It was an excellent location but unfortunately run by very unprofessional staff. As a professor at UCONN, driving a truck shouldn’t lower your prestige to get mocked or almost abused for no reason. The personnel was rude, impolite and very confrontational when I asked a simple question like “is everything ok?” The only thing I was told was that “you’ll get an email.” Then a second employee showed up harassing me for a piece of dirt in the car. I genuinely felt unsafe and didn’t dare to ask another question. It wasn’t my first experience with UHaul, most of which in CT and very pleasant, but this was a genuinely scary and unsafe experience.

Signage, if you have not been here before it's difficult to see this place especially at night. I do not recommend renting during busy traffic hours as Broad st can be a pain.
