My experience was with customer-service, the Medford location and the Brighton location. In all cases my experience was that the U-Haul associates went above and beyond for me - This was my first time towing and I had multiple questions and issues with my towing equipment (i.e. electrical). U-Haul was courteous, generous with their time, insights and suggestions and got me on the road. Not to detract from their efforts, I feel compelled to add that the extra steps necessary to submit a review (filling out a form with contract number, email etc.) discourages me from completing a survey and is uncommon and un-necessary with better technology.

I had a reservation to drop the trailer off in Brookline but when I brought it there they told me to go to Brighton or Roxbury because they had no room. That wasted a lot of time for me. If you have locations that are full you should send out a blast email telling them to seek another close location rather than having the customer go to a location you already know is full. Anyway, Brighton was reasonably close and they were wonderful and quick.

You charged me $111 on top of the amount as a mistake, and I haven't been reimbursed yet. So far you stole me $111, witch makes a total of $350 for only 6 hours rental!!!! Never rent again at Uhaul, and I'll recommend people to run away from this place. Such a poor customer service! Still waiting for my reimbursement.

I added a rental of a dozen moving blankets for $10. I asked the cashier to double check they would be included and they assured me they were. They were not. When we returned the truck we requested an adjustment for the blankets and were assured it would be refunded. It was not. I understand they are busy but it is only one addition to our order and was overlooked twice.

I enjoyed the experience which was nice overall :) As you asked here is 2 point that could be improved : 1) Safety enhance The side mirror of the truck I rented was broken -> poor visibility Would be nice if it could be fixed, in ordered to not compromise safety. 2) Customer service Would be nice if the personal could take 2 min to present the vehicle and make a very quick tour in the already scratched and broken elements,( when picking up and also returning the vehicle). In my case the operator just gave me the key, and told me the truck is parked outside on your left, with no further information ! Thanks ! Seif

Customer service wasn't great.The vehicle was fine. Everything was disorganized. I understand that this is a busy time of year for the Boston area with respect to moving, however the staff had no handle on their inventory of Dollys and other moving equipment. If I reserve a dolly ahead of time I expect to have one available to me.

Truck was in considerably worse condition than the initial photos. For the second time there were no dollies available despite reserving them with my original booking. I had to grab my own furniture blankets from the storage area by climbing over piles of used blankets to get to a new pack. The credit card terminal froze prolonging checkout further. Clearly an understaffed location.

This location was very busy and disorganized, it was the beginning of the month so this was to be expected to some extent, however, given this it should have been better staffed. I had reserved two dollies but when I arrived there were none available. Although I was reimbursed for them this severely hindered my move. Additionally, the truck I was given keys to was at the back of the lot behind others so I was not able to get it without having an already busy staff member come out and move them.

I had ordered 24 blankets and a dolly as well as the truck. On Aug. 26, at 9:30 am, they did not have any left, which is shocking. I had to drive to another U-haul and hope they would have some to give me. Fortunately, they had ten blankets left. I took them all. People usually rent a truck on their moving day. It is such a stressful day, in and of itself. But U-haul made it much more stressful. I was desperate for a dolly and a few blankets and I was lucky that another branch had it. I was also lucky that our movers were late. Everything should work like a clock on the moving day so that the moving day would be a success. U-haul should try to provide an excellent, impeccable service on such a stressful day to its customers, not the opposite (adding more stress to the game.) Very disappointed!

The store was very busy. The manager dealt with angry customers firmly but fairly and maintained a positive attitude with everyone else. My pickup location was changed late and not communicated properly to me so I had to go to two locations to pickup my trailer. If trailers are not available at a location, don't make it a choice when reserving.

The Customer service was not great. I came in the night before to check on the reservation and ensure that everything was all set (I needed to pick up some mattress covers anyway)- the guy was short and acted as though my inquiry was nonsensical. When I arrived in the morning there was not indication of who worked there or how long we would be waiting - it is clear that u-haul is overworking and understaffing people. Then, when i get my truck - it did not have any furniture pads - I ordered 36. These are precisely the things that I checked on the night before. The person was unapologetic and said they can take it off the order - well that does me little good as now I needed to make last-minute arrangements - driving extra miles and spending 90 dollars are fewer furniture pads. Not to mention there were rocks and a dirty shirt in the Uhaul when I picked it up. Upon return I was then charged for 2 dollys instead of one. And because it is "self-check out" there was no manager there to speak about my concerns (as directed by the call line). Overall would not recommend.

Very unprofessional service, was overcharged for items I did not select. Person at the pickup desk refused to acknowledge that I did not sign a contract for the uhaul nor did he ask me if I wanted to add the extras. He added the extra charges without asking, handed the keys, and rudely asked me to leave. Now waiting for UHaul to respond!

Awful experience - was there for a 1.5 hours when I said I had a reservation. Staff was very rude to me and could not provide any of the things I had a reservation for (15ft truck and dolly). I got a 10ft truck and no dolly. The truck ran terribly. Seems like it had transmission problems, but it shifted very hard The agent also put in the wrong amount on the gas gauge, which cost me extra money

It took an hour waiting in line for me to get my UHaul. The place was severely understaffed. It threw off my entire moving schedule, which had been extensively planned in advance with many other moving parts, and this fucked it all up right from the start of the day. Other people were vocally expressing this at the location, as well. UHaul is supposed to be a crucial part of moving, and it really fucked me over. Also, they had me bring my vehicle back to the same location, even after I tried multiple times to bring it to the actual place I'm moving to, rather than driving back to where I don't live anymore - you know, the entire point of UHaul. In addition, my vehicle had warnings going off on the dash that were there when I got in, and that could not be fixed by me. Overall, very disappointed with the experience I had. It made an already-stressful time about 10x worse.

Turn signal bulb was out. We had to stop at another U-HAUL location to get it replaced so that it would be safe to drive on NJTP. Van was full of trash from previous user. Also, oil change notification was on. Only 1/4 tank of gas at pickup and we ended up returning with 3/4 left.
