I will not recommend any U-Haul location to anyone I want to keep as a friend; the online checkin was a nuisance that didn't save any time on-site, and the reservation did not warn that nothing would be done to ensure that the blankets and handtruck I requested would actually be available -- I had to go to another location to get them. Extra credit to the staff for finding a nearby location where I could get the equipment I needed.Charles H.
I originally had a reservation scheduled for the Brookline location. However, they did not have all the equipment I reserved. Then, I went to Brighton and they didn't have it either.Andrew O.

The website didn't explain that only some truck sizes were for one way when I was making my reservation, there were no large ones for one way. That's ridiculous.BRITTNEY H.
The after hours drop off was awful. In order to complete you have to use an app that took way too long, required 7-8 pictures and asked questions that needed to be done before returning keys. I didn't know this and could not do all this because I put the keys in the drop already (and wouldn't have been able to complete drop off and be charged extra). This app is fairly new and I don't like it. It should be explained at pick up how this app works and if you drop the keys before going through the app you may have problems.BRANDON S.

The person helping was great. The trailer was damaged, making it difficult to remove the pins that hold up the ramp/back gate. The truck was good. I wish all trucks had to be returned with a full tank of gas. The partial tank stuff is very inaccurate. 13/16ths?BRIAN M.

1. We got the truck was blocked by another truck. 2. We have changed to another truck, but was told this truck has problem. 3. Finally we got the previous truck, but was very hard to operate and made big noise which sounds the gear could not get into right shift. 4. Only could drive very slow that made me feel we were riding an oxcart. 5. The big issue is this delay and malfunction have cost me lots more to pay for the driver and two labors.VENERABLE Y.

Was given a super old truck (with 130K+ miles on it) with a funky cabin smell. Drove the truck back 10 minutes before the closing time, yet the office doors were locked, with noone inside, even through the posted hours on the door said they should be open. So instead of a straightforward return experience, had to go through the online return process, with taking and submitting multiple pictures, etc. Overall a bland OK experience.VIKTOR G.

I WAS OVERCHARGED A LOT. NO ONE CAN DRIVE ~350 MILES IN 1.5 HOURS. THE CONDITION OF THE TRUCK WAS POOR. CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS POOR. WHEN I ASKED ABOUT THE CHARGES, THEY SAID THEY DONT KNOW. KINDLY RESOLVE THIS ASAPKRANTHI M.

First vehicle had a low tire pressure warning. Rather than fixing that they gave me a vehicle with more miles on it and I had to call multiple times to get a copy of the updated contract with the correct vehicle and mileage out. Also their reason for not printing the contract at the location before I left was bogus. There is nothing about COVID that says that you can't print a contract.Richard K.

Okay, you asked for it! Came to pick up my rental, and the truck was broken, it took an hour to set up a new rental that was smaller. As a result, it took the movers twice as long to move because the truck was too small. Cost of moving doubled, paying by the hour. I wasn't a happy camper and that did not apologize for the inconvenience.KEVIN K.

The back up camera on the real view mirror was great! Please upgrade all of your trucks. Backing up was so easy! That has solved the biggest issue for me before. Checkin and droppoff staff were great!ALDO D.
Location seemed a littl short staffed. Employee was very helpful, got my truck all set up. Truck did not match pictures given at all, lots of damage and was rear ended at some point. However truck was clean, just needed body work.CHARLES H.

I've used this location often in the past 15 years. It used to be acceptable. Recently rudeness and surliness are the norms. It has become worse with every visit. Yesterday I had a young friend with me and he couldn't believe the gentleman running this location. He continued to try to insult me from the first word until we left the counter. A month ahead of time, I reserved a trailer. On the day, trailer was not available and long story short, I ended up with a bigger trailer and had to adjust my total weight and speed to stay safe. Very disappointing with the reservation process.JOSE M.

Although I had reserved at another location and was switched to this one as nothing else was available at the original location, it worked well. The person I checked in with was terrific - and after a short wait to check out, was able to return the vehicle at the same location. So, despite an original inconvenience, the location was good and staff terrific!JENNIFER C.
The manager was very helpful with pick up of the A.T. However the guy who greeted me at drop off was not in uniform and looked like a bum from Mass and Cass ...I had to ask him if he worked there! He came over to where I was dropping the trailer ,proceeded to ask if I knew how to back up , then yelled at me to" put it over there! " in an Angry tone , like I was the one making him have to stand in the pouring rain , his attitude and demeanor was unbecoming of someone that I would want to work at my rental yard ! His name was Sam, at least that's what he told me after I had to ask a couple of times , he was rude crude and socially un acceptable ,he had a condescending attitude and told me I could leave now ,as if I was bothering him ...I only asked if he needed me to sign anything ,and he couldn't have been more rude ! I would rather this location as a minus 5 stars just because of him...but the manager Isaiah was quite professional and friendly. Not sure why Sam was confrontational and abrasive! Maybe he should have some customer service training and or go to finishing school , his sub par attitude will not get him far dealing with the public , if I was a franchisee ,I would remove him from the pay roll ,immediately!!!! Not a good experience for customers to encounter a surly angry young man , shooing me away with his hand telling me to get in my vehicle and leave ! I couldn't believe his entitlement ! Its as if I was bothering him ,or he hates his job , whatever the case may be , he belongs to the streets , and that's where he should go !!!CHRISTOPHER K.

I ordered a 4'x8' trailer from Somerville. They called me 1 hour before my scheduled pickup and said they have no 4'x8' trailers. They said go to Brighton. One guy takes my credit card into the office while the other one said stay here and I'll show you how to hook up. I was given no receipt. I was told I could return trailer next day with no extra fee. I returned it that night (Sunday, 2:30 am). I WAS OVER CHARGED $20.00! I called to complain about it and they hung up on me. Great story for Channel 4 in regards to taking advantage of an elderly person! I will never use UHAUL again!DENNIS L.
