My charges were higher than expected, as I thought it would be less than $100.00, because the website gave me an estimated cost when I booked the rental equipment at $65.00, so I guess it would be better if every customer could have more up front knowledge of the additional charges will end up adding to the total cost of the rental, i.e., miles, gas, taxes. Otherwise, this location, the owners and staff are great. I was thankful for their assistance and kindness. I just didn't know it would end up costing over $100. Otherwise, location, people and equipment, top notch and kudos to them. 👍👍 Two thumbs up from me.

Arrived to pick up equipment and found that what we reserved wasn’t available- no phone call or heads up. We were told we could drive to another location to look for equipment but now had no time and no idea if other locations would have what we needed- terrible service. Needed straps and weren’t offered any for purchase or rental- we had to drive out of our way to buy some causing more mileage we had to pay just to arrive back with the truck and see the location DID have them. So we had to pay more in mileage and from a store since the employee did not help at all. The truck had a broken ac fan knob so no control over the air flow.

First. I was quoted one price and paid double although I brought the truck back a few hours later only used 15 miles. I put gas in the truck. I had to kill several roaches in the trailer of the truck before I could load my belongings into it

They had a water leak, lied to my insurance company saying it was a hurricane, no hurricane occurred in June 2023. A bunch of liars and losers, will NEVER use UHAUL again; over three years of paying an increasing rate. And currently need storage but will go else where bunch of liars. Oh and the place has rats, so much rat droppings in my storage unit. So we paying increasing rates for dirty trucks, water issues, and rats. Beware

The staff that helped me went above and beyond, they even saw me struggling after closing to leave the trailer and stayed to make sure it was dropped off properly while I was by myself. I greatly appreciated them and their great service !

First of all, they don’t explain much. I got a storage unit on a Wednesday afternoon. I went to said storage unit at 7 pm Thursday and it was a huge hustle getting in the enclosed storage area. They don’t explain process at all, and I had to call the overnight line to figure out how to get in. THEN! We get in literally at 7pm and we walk in and see a 6in RAT stuck to a trap!!!!! It was alive and crawled under one of the storage doors. AND THEN saw a roach crawling on the wall. The place is terrible.

When services are referred by the uhaul website and the site says that they don't perform that service, specifically U-box, I wasted time and money. They should take lessons from Uhaul of South Jacksonville. Truly, Uhaul of South Jacksonville was a joy to work with and They took care of all my needs.

Staff was impatient and rude. My husband wanted more information about the charges on our account and the woman was very quick and unaccommodating to us. If there's a recording, you'd see that we were not loud or combative. Moving is already stressful enough. People that hate being in customer service, shouldn't work in customer service. Will not use this location again.

I rented a U-Haul truck for a 24 hour period this past weekend for $39.95/day. When I came to pick it up, all employees were eating their lunch at their computers. After completing my paperwork, I was given a key and told to pick up my truck out in the yard. When I asked which truck, they sent me in a direction but did not designate which truck. We tried 5 different trucks with the key they had given me but could not find the right truck. When we finally found someone who happened to be in the yard, he found one way in the back. By the way, it was raining and this all took about 20 minutes. We were frustrated from the start. That evening when I attempted to lock the truck with the lock that was provided, I found it was jammed and I could not use it. The next day, we did not have enough time to fill up the 1/8th of a tank of gas that I was short to get it back within the 24 hour period, so I brought it back knowing that I would have to pay for the 1/8th of a tank of gas. The bottom line is this: lousy service, broken equipment and having paid already a $37.06 mileage charge, I now had to pay a $30 service fee AND a $30 fuel charge for only 6 gallons . (currently gas is at $3.49/gal. X 6 gallons = $20.94) What was the mileage charge for??? My $39.95 truck rental (with a $15 insurance coverage) turned out to be $153.86, ALMOST A TRIPLE CHARGE for a 24 hour rental at $39.95/day. ! I will never rent another vehicle from this company again. RENTER BEWARE! I will certainly share this.

No cellphone reception, their WIFI does not work. Not recommended to return after hours as the zone may not be the best in town. It was a nightmare to return through the app as not having signal did not allow me to take the pictures and upload them In the app. Returning trailer took almos an hour and I had to call customer service to be able to return it

Mixed experiences. The pick up was a disaster. Confrontational argumentative employee named Torrence who shouldn't be dealing with the public or employed almost had me walk out and go to Budget. Upon return of truck (26') I spoke with the mngr Ms. Johnson She changed my opinion from never ever using Uhaul again to retaining me a a customer. She was shocked by the treatment I rcvd from Torrence and I sense I am not the only customer to complain. He should be terminated or moved to a position not dealing with customers. The truck has a front end issue it shakes badly making it dangerous to drive. I only drove 6 total miles. If traveling further it would have been awful if not impossible.

The General Manager Ciera Johnson told me in order to rent a pick up I would have to have a major credit card in which I was never told this when I booked the reservation over the phone. She says that is her rules because we have been robbed of 3 of our pick up trucks recently. I'm not the one to steal anything I simply need the truck to pick up a mattress and I didn't need the truck but for an hour or less. She let me get a 10 foot box truck at the same rate and mileage with a debit card that had to be tied to a bank account. I says this because she is creating her on rules at the store she runs and not following company policy. Her attitude was unacceptable and I didn't appreciate it.

My first month was supposed to been free and this why I chose this facility but the manager changed it to my second month free. This changed wasn’t told to me until more than a week later. The manager charged my credit card for two months payment plus other expenses that I had no ideals what it were for. Had to called the 1 800 number to get help. Then after that they charge my card again and again. I had to turn off my card to stop charges. Today still trying to get a charge for boxes refunded to me that I did not receive or ordered.

I actually loved my stuff out into another storage due to I was paying for climate control and it was always hotter then being outside! Everytime i went into the office to speak with a team me never they were rude and acted as if they were being inconvenienced! Also the door the the storage area are always broken and makes it harder to go in and out of the storage area! I would not ever reckoned this storage facility to anyone because it’s the worst experience I have ever had!

The Staff was friendly and helpful and the facility was clean. I would only suggest that storage facilities that are indoors and not air-conditioned have fans inside due to the extreme Florida heat while clients are moving or even for your team members who are working at the facility it is extremly hot indoors and difficult to work in that environemnt.

I told u months ago I couldn't afford it anymore and just get rid of stuff. I was told they were going to auction off months ago. I still was charged and they just auctioned off on 11/11. Even called months ago and they said they were going to auction stuff off. Why was I still charged and it took so long. I'm on disability and can't afford it.

All my furniture and clothes boxes was filled with mold, rat feces and roaches! I was told I move into the facility in July when I moved in April 30 with mandatory insurance and I want all my ruined property reimbursed as the facility took pictures of some of the items but mattresses, ruined artifacts and clothes were ruined! This needs to be addressed immediately!!!

I am not sure why I continue to business with Uhaul. The Storage facility at Blanding/Westside was great and the store Manager Jacob was beyond helpful. Also the gentleman who manages the Normandy Store was incredible. These 2 men are your saving grace. The Uhaul customer service is horrifying. No one is on the same page, I have know clue how your customer service computers don't interface with the actual stor computers. Information is consistently incorrect. Uhaul caused a lot of challenges and financial loss when my husband I moved to Florida January 2022for my daughter's medical emergency. We reserved a unit on 103rd street from your customer service. When we finished our 14 hour drive with our truck and car hauler the unit not only didn't have storage but they didn't even have the size we ordered on the lot. This store sent us to Normandy after once again Customer service reserved another unit. When we arrived we learned that particular store wasn't even open for bussiness and was still being set up and built. This is important to remember because this store will definitely be referanced again in my complaint. Please know the store Manager was amazing and truly cared about helping us. Your customer service only read from a script and told us we were incorrect and Normandy had our unit available. The insisted we were wrong and all but called us lies. From Normandy we were directed to the Blanding Westside store. They had one unit available but it was too small and not the size we originally reserved when we proactively prepared foe this big move. So feeling defeated we took it unloaded after drive all day and then had to rent another unit with another company just so we could fit our items. Remember my reservation was for you biggest unit but Uhaul never delivered on what they promised. So I was paying an extra 100 a month because Uhauls customer service systems don't jive with the actual store. After this debockal all was well until 3 months later and we get a call from your customer service agent stating we were late on our Normandy unit. If you are following me you know that the Normandy Store was not open for business and we were sent to Blanding Westside. The CS agent insisted we had a unit on Normandy and told us we owed the money and we were wrong because her computer showed we rented it. Pull the call, take a listen, I'm embarrassed for your company for this atrocious interaction. She told my husband we had to pay and he explained everything twice our whole debockal. She still insisted he was wrong and we needed to pay for the unit. Finally after many call backs your customer service agent finally excepted we didn't have a unit. Moving on, I had enough and decided to call and discuss my unsatisfactory service over the last several months. For your information your CS manager was beyond unsympathetic to our challenges. My child had 9 surgeries and contacted gangrene and was on a ventilator in an induced comma. I was a bit emotional. The whole reason we moved is to make sure she had the best care. Uhaul added so much more stress and I felt so defeated from every angle. Your CS Manager did nothing but interrupt me to correct me on my experience because obviously her computer was as correct and how could I possibly be experiancing all these issues. I had to retell the story so many times. All while juggling the children's hospital, and everything else that goes along with moving 800 miles away. Please understand I give credit where credit is due . Your in store managers at all 3bstors were wonderful but your call center agents an management is sub par, disappointing, poorly trained and lacks listening skills, empathy, common courtesy, and the ability to think beyond what the computers tell them. I'd love to talk to someone who actually cares about our overall experience with your company. I hope you are out there. I managed call center supervisors for 18 years and had pride in their ability to give white glove service. You know how that happened? Not by giving away the bank but by listening actively to our customers, reiterating what they understand, taking notes so the customer did not need to repeat themselves, empathy, sincere appreciation for our customers accounts. My teams drove satisfaction by simply being good humans that thought for themselves. They didn't react like programs, zombies or script readers. So call me I want to chat with you. There is no reason your call center service agents are not high quality. Or maybe you don't care, maybe no matter the NPS scores or ESATS don't affect your revenue. What do I know I'm just a number and $ amount to Uhaul. However, if NET promoter scores do matter, I will never recommend Uhaul to my friends or family. You get a 0 or 1. 1 is the lowest. This rating was for my pick and returned location. Upon getting home with the equipment i started experiencing a problem. I tried calling that location and was unable to speak with anyone there. Once at the drop off location my experience was worse the delay and turn was so unnecessary. When compared to my last business transaction with uhaul this time im really disappointed.

Over the years there have been problems with mold in my unit. Mold covered my items. I couldn’t save many of my items unfortunately. The ceiling of the indoor facility needs to be cleaned often. The roaches were once the issue but the mold is my overall reason for moving out. I could no longer deal with it.

All were great and understanding when my payments were late. I had to have my lock cut off because nephew had key in ATL I apologize to them because I couldn't understand why they couldn't cut the lock off until I saw how complicated it was when locksmith attempted it. Mr. Chuck was very kind & helpful. Excellent customer service all locations. Blessings & Safe Holidays & a Prosperous new yr. Moving co was excellent also!!!!

I had my reservations canceled multiple times and had to drive an hour and a half out of my way to pick up my truck. Then my reservation for my storage unit was changed twice on me. I bought boxes that were not shipped in time to use. It was an overall awful experience

I think Uhaul needs to allow their employees more room when it comes to dealing with irate customers. The customers I saw them deal with were rude yet they handled it EXCELLENT with poise, dignity and grace. They definitely went above and beyond what I've seen others do....If there was anything to change it would be 24hour access extra charge being told up front.

This is a busy location, so there is a wait to speak to someone in person when you get there. They are all very helpful, knowledgeable, and professional. I highly recommend the staff at this location. Additionally, the storage is very convenient, and the online check in process is easy, quick, and has 24 hour access.

To actually pull into the parking lot was a mess as soon as you turn in that’s where they clean and rent out trucks so someone was always blocking the way the lights in the unit only stay on for a very short period of time about 2 minutes I’m so happy I have my belongings out of this place. So I don’t have to ever deal with that location again.
