There were no issues with the equipment, it was the staff. On arrival, it took an hour just to get an open trailer, despite having a reservation and pre-checking in online. The staff was all complaining about how tired they were and how they all needed to go on break. One staff member was just standing around texting. This same gentleman was also the one who got in a yelling match with a customer from across the store, completely uncalled for. The employee continued to esculate it using the "F-word" multiple times. Worst experience with Uhaul thus far.Rhameen K.

Front counter at check-in was very courteous. Truck mileage and gas way off though the serial number on truck and contract matched. so app did not accept mileage mismatch. Truck had visible dents that were not starred. Spent time identifying them. Owner was helpful and promised to email contract with correct gas and mileage. He never did. Counter at check-in did not trust what I told him about the gas and mileage. I said 37 miles driven. He said about 40, and he ended up charging me for 38 (super petty). He made me feel like a thief. I rented for 24 hours, but counter check-in said what time would I return in (estimate he said). Contract read due at 7:00 am the next day, when that was only an ideal if all went according to plan. Felt it was a trick. I thought I'd get better service from a larger location, but I didn't. Will only go there if I need to. Bypassed closer locations thinking bigger was better. Lastly, manager said that people rollback mileage on the trucks; hence the mileage mismatch. Really? Will inquire with the CA DOT.GREGG R.

Stop adding unexpected charges after drop off. I paid in full on 4/30/2021, I returned the truck early with more gas than when I picked up yet there are $79 of charges added after the fact.Michael N.

I booked an 8 feet pickup truck to tow my 20 feet boat (3000 pounds) and told UHaul at booking. At the time, it seems that everything was Ok but they told me to purchase my ball. I purchase an adjustable ball ($125). But on the day of the pickup, when I told them that I was getting the truck for my boat, the manager refused to give me the 8 feet I had booked and said that I needed to get a 10 feet truck for this purpose. I looked up their truck online and the towing capacity was more than sufficient. I asked the manager why I could not get the pickup truck and he told me that he did not believe my 20 feet boat was that light. Since I had no choice, I took the 10 feet truck. But I kept it only for a day instead of 2. When I returned the truck I was told that they were going to charge me only for the day I used. But the day after they charged me for 2 days. Between the extra day and the ball kit I purchased, I wasted $225. Overall, I would not trust the staff at that location and I definitely do not recommend it.Thierry O.

I will not be recommending this location. The Customer Service representative Richard Mendevil was very snarky- borderline rude when I picked up my rental. My return that afternoon was worse! He told me to go wait by the truck for check in. It was 90 degrees outside. He left me waiting for 15 minutes and I finally asked another associate to help me after she finished with her other customer. We were the only 2 customers at that time. Andrea gave me excellent service! Richard is a bad representative for Uhaul. He needs to be retrained and disciplined.Margaretta G.

I rent from U haul about every two weeks. Frist of all I showed up to rent a trailer at 7 am at 7:10 they opened ( late) Second I returned the trailer earlier upon returning I was ask to pull it around the back to unload it in stead of the return area. I pulled around back helped the employee discount the trailer then asked him if I need to check it in. He replied with no if I did not want a printed receipt. He then told me I was good and he would email me my receipt. Today I received an additional $20 fee that I am protesting. If this fee is not remove I will use another rental company. I have never had this issue before. Normally I have a good experience that is way I have continuously used U-Haul hopefully this issue dose that end our relationship.DAVID D.

I would have rated 5 stars, but because it lacked an elevator and I rented a unit on the 2nd floor, having to carry more than 20 containers that were at least 50lb each, made me cancel it right away. I thought there would at least be an elevator to help and make it even more convenient but I was shocked to find there was none. This Uhaul location is by far the BEST I've been too when it comes to customer service and getting what you need regarding logistics. I highly recommend coming here for your moving needs, in large part because of the manager Dan. Dan's the man! He and his team have always gotten me through all my rentals in a very smooth fashion! Not to mention you can pick up and drop off a vehicle without having to stand in line! All in all, Dan really takes care of his customers needs, and I will definitely continue coming here. Next time be prepared for orders that are scheduled before the establishment opens. I arrived at 5am for my pick up and the Mobile pick up was not set up on the car. I had to wait till they opened which set me back 2 hours. First and last time I will use U-HaulKarla M.

One guy working up front with 6 customers. Found my keys but not the truck.... had to change truck size and had to return to LB or couldn't get rental. The first place wouldn't give me the truck that TRAFFIC CENTRAL set up only put in 4 hours, not 4 days as agreed. Had an 800 mi round trip so 4 hours is silly. Nobody knows what anyone else is doing until it's a problem. When people rent big trucks it isn't a casually planned time; they have many things to coordinate so the rental needs to go smoothly. Took me 1.5 hours in the store and 3 hours to finally start loading up everything in my driveway which was very inconvenient. The truck worked fine so mission accomplished but not a great experience and very costly with gas.ROBERT F.

This location and other rental centers need to answer their phones during normal business hours. Too many times I called during business hours to ask one or two simple questions and the phone was not picked up. Instead I was transferred to U-Haul's call center and placed on hold for 20 - 30 minutes. The call center often could not answer questions for the local rental centers. Please have local rental centers always answer their phones during normal business hours!JOHN S.

I emptied my unit clean. It was after office hours so I had to call in to close my account which is what I wanted anyway because of covid. The location never answers the phone and so everytime I called I got transferred to the company hotline. I spoke to several representitives who couldn't make contact with the location itself. Each time they put a note on my account saying what I was requesting and telling them to call me back in an email. They never called. Then I got billed for the next month and tried again. This rude representative said the only way I could close the account is to go down there in person because I had fill out paperwork. That was a lie. If I am at risk of covid I shouldn't have to go in to the location. She said I would be continuously "billed for the rest of my life" if I didn't go down there myself. After having a very stressful night where I was told Uhaul did not have a truck for me to rent, although I had a previous reservation, I arrived at the Westminster's storage office the following day to be told I could no longer rent an already reserved storage unit under the same contract. I stood there mouth dropped, with a last minute 1day $332 Dollar Penske Rental truck, driven one way over 50 miles, loaded with every item my disabled mom owned. I was confused about having to pay what looked like close to $300 to rent a storage unit. However, "Captain Save A Customer" came to my Rescue. "Dan Desmond" is my Super Hero!! He swooped in and listened to me vent, heard my story and cleaned up a mess he did NOT create. Dan was patient, friendly, welcoming and got me a smaller perfect size storage under the previous contract. Also, while helping me, Dan went the extra mile to give another customer his own personal bottled water who asked to buy water. "Dan is the Man" and is a major appliance to Uhaul.
