I thought the face to face interaction was excellent at both ends. The phone experience was horrible!! I almost cancelled the reservation because of that. I had a questions for my pick up location and couldn't reach them. I eventually just drove over there to ask them. Even the National U Haul number was a 50 minute wait. It was no better at the drop off point. A huge disappointment! It's such a shame. The rest of the experience was fine.Elliot G.

Overall a good experience. Friendly people and great communication. My only concern was with the unit itself. The door was deteriorating plywood that did not close securely. This location in particular was excellent. Easy in and out. One error was mileage. They marked our start as 60 miles higher than the truck had, we called into uhaul to have it corrected. Only problem with uhaul is an hour wait time just to make the fix to mileage or anytime you call uhaul for anything. They need to put music into play or something more soothing and only break in with messagesMARK H.

The new drop off policy was not made clear during pick up. The agent did not say it was recommended to complete drop off online otherwise I'd be charged an additional $20. In addition the online experience was not a smooth process. The app was not working properly.CANDICERENEE P.

We did the mobile pick up but somehow it still took about 10 minutes waiting inside and the guy gave wrong information stating we had 400 miles. When clearly I just paid $130 for 100 mileage. When we returned I did the mobile return even though there were 2 employees right there doing nothing. No one said a word to me. It was like I was a ghost. A young girl and a guy trying to flirt with her instead of doing their jobs. I did the whole check in with them literally next to me. I'd love if you watched cameras to see how pathetic. Why even have employees when they do literally nothing? Made me feel super uncomfortable. Terrible experience here and I will never be back. I used to manage the Quincy uhaul for 3 years and we prided ourselves on our hospitality. I'd give this location a negative rating if I could.Shannon C.

Employees left us sitting outside in the rain to return the truck for an hour. Then proceeded to close the store at 8:30 saying we were late even though they knew we were there around 7. Both employees gave us a nasty attitude and refused to help us and then left saying they were off the clock and didn't need to be there. To top it off I paid for a dolly that was never given to me and was told I'd be refunded but never got the money backCHRISTOPHER R.
The vehicle I used had excessive play in the steering and the wheel was not straight. Trying to keep it straight down the road was a constant battle. Vehicle. May need tie rods or ball joints or something and an alignment. Tires need balancing as well and rotors may be warped but vibration during braking may also just be from imbalanced tires. I would repair the vehicle before lending it out to a customer againJAMES W.
Service was terrible. When I went to return the trailer there was one person working the counter with 5 people in front of me. When it was my turn I was told to drive up to drop-off location (my fault, thought it was for trucks). I went outside and tried to find someone. 15 minutes later I went back in and waited in line again. It was my third time there and it seems to get worse every time.TRAVIS C.

I am a businessman. I have owned several businesses for 20 plus years. . As I entered the U-Haul business located at 380 Union Street, West Springfield, MA, I had the unfortunate experience of encountering a grandiloquent, anomalist, who appeared florid! Indubitably, there was some sort of malady as he was shaking uncontrollably. His demeanor from my entry was rancorous and supercilious. I have been a repeat customer of U-Haul for 16+ years. I have never had one problem until Jack Slater came along! I have never in 20 years of being in business been treated so disrespectfully and unconviviality as I was with Jack Slater. I am a very perspicacious individual and immediately sensed something was off kilter. My salutation to Jack Slater was apropes; "Hello, how are you"? His reply...."what's up"? Mind you, this is the first greeting between the business and customer! A bit lax in terms of Frontline customer service! However, showing my pencity for equanimity I proceeded to ask Jack Slater if they had a car dolly avaliable? Before I could finish my sentence he screamed "I don't have one"! So I politely asked Jack Slater if he could please locate one for me? He screamed at me "Don't try to tell me how to do my job"! He proceeded with his rancorous behavior and screamed at me to get out! He said he was calling the police. I again tried to ask Jack Slater if he could locate the dolly for me? He continued to scream at which time I exited the store. I was met in the parking lot by local police officers whom were very helpful and explained that he had the right to refuse service even in the event that I was perfectly satisfied. He LIED to police officers stating that I threatened him! At NO point in time did I threaten him! Please review security cameras! You have just made a unproficuous decision! In customer service the customer is always right! Jack Slater is detrimental to the U-Haul business, it was my observation hat he was under the influence of something. He obviously has a diminished capacity and Should not ever be first in line to greet customers! It may behoove you to excogitate an additional resource , so that U-Haul may have an auspicious chance to rise above the level of eneverating, grandiloquent, censure that Jack Slater purports as the "Employee" of U-Haul. It is very disturbing that even as I reached out to the corporate office, my experience was ignored! U-Haul, you leave a multitude of unprofessional and unacceptable experiences....but alas, I has a multitude of businesses and the wonderful art of social media to bear the importance of customer service and how one's business can suffer if word should filter into the community about how someone was treated. I had to pay to have the uhaul boxes moved 90% of the way to my new home. To have it moved the additional 10% and have it dropped off at my driveway (which is the whole point of uhaul boxes), I had to pay almost the same amount as before. So I had to pay about double what I was expecting to. The staff was friendly and helpful but the system itself is broken and I won't be doing this again. Also way too many furniture padsalan H.

The online reservation system is a pain in the neck. It's much faster to call the location. I entered Westfield 01085 as the pickup location (which is minutes from my house and the location I regularly use), and missed the fact that your system changed it to West Springfield. I also hate having to skip over all those upsell pages. There should be a quick one-page way to order a truck for customers who are already registered. If I want extras, you should have a product page and let me add them to the cart - you shouldn't force me to page through multiple upsell pages to complete the transaction.David F.

I requested a truck in a specific location, and was told it could possibly be at a different one depending on who had the size I needed. I never was called about my truck, so I called the evening before to find out it was to be picked up in a different county, an hour away. I had hired movers thru moving helpers with uhaul. Because of this distance I paid movers to sit in my driveway and wait for me. I was told with attitude that a district manager called me 24 hrs before pickup of the location change. When I said I never received any call from uhaul the girl insisted someone else at my home must have take the call. I assured her I lived alone and the number they had was my personal cell. She was rude, and I was out 180.00 I had to pay the movers extra time, and the stress and chaos was horrible, and uhaul said there was nothing they could or would do to compensate. Will never use them again. Truck had 1/4 tank of gas, no windshield washer fluid in it at all. Poor customer service and maintenance.NORA P.

The only reason I didn't give an "excellent" rating was your credit for unused month policy. I paid for the full month of October on 10/2 and emptied the unit on October 11 but was told there was no partial month credit for the unused 3 weeks. That was disappointing.
