The self check out wasn't as easy as it seemed but a representative came right out to assist my husband.james K.
The available equipment was clean and well maintained. The team member who helped me was also very pleasant. The issue I have is equipment availability. When I was being checked in when the team member was going over my reservation a gentleman was sitting at another register just said â€œwe don't have anyâ€ in reference to the hand dolly and furniture dolly I had rented. Firstly this seemed rude that he would talk over the lady that was helping me. Secondly I made the reservation in advance and booked helpers. If the equipment wasn't available and someone had let me know the day before I could have rented it somewhere else or picked up my uhaul at another location. Not having the equipment slowed everything down and is a huge problem. I still have part of my move left to complete and ended up spending several hundred ($234) extra do get done what I was able to. If I had just known you the equipment wouldn't be there I could have planned around it.Oldden F.

I didn't get reimbursed the proper amount I was promised. My boxes were wet when they arrived and an agent said they would start a ticket about but never did. I was supposed to get a voucher for U-Haul but also haven't received that. Will not be using the box services again and will not recommend it to other people either.Narayani S.

Customer service at the charlotte locations could've been better. Also, One of my original locks were changed by Uhaul and I didn't receive the keys. A box I added later didn't have a lock however, Uhaul added one to which I also did not receive a key for. Although, I did call the same day to purchase a lock to put on and the rep told me there was one on it and no need to worry because they would mail me the keys. Only to blame me in the end when I never received the keys, instead of any accountability regarding never receiving the keys. Not receiving the keys delayed the movers ability to unload which enevitably cost me more money. I simply ask that this be covered, but again the west Springfield office blamed me. The experience was less than pleasant. I have not experienced being blamed by a company before. â€œIf you would have had a lock on it none of this would have happened.â€ So when you ask how was my experience , less than pleasing. Moving across states is tough enough without having to go through all this.WHITNEY D.

The Springfield office was difficult to work with and clearly did not have good communications with the driver who dropped off and picked up my boxes. They called me accusing me of loss and damage to the boxes and refusing to pick them up. This phone call was after the driver had been to my house, verified everything was In proper order with no damage or missing covers, and had taken the boxes away. The driver who dropped off and picked up my boxes was pleasant and professional. I also have an erroneous charge in my credit card that does not tie out with any receipts for this order. Customer service wait times are excessive and I have to fill out a claim for a charge that I was not contacted about, it just appeared and is likely a mistake someone made.Catherine A.

I requested my trailer for 24hours thru customer service which I usually do but to my surprise when I got home my wife noticed that they only gave it to us for 21 hours. We needed that extra 3 hrs bc we paid for it plus we had to make a few trips to transport our belongings. Customer service was not able to help me bc they claimed that the trailer was already dispatched and there was nothing they could do. It is not fair or right to treat customers this way.Carlos G.

The communication and the follow through is horrendous. U-Haul is so hard to communicate with and rectify any issues that arise. I would not recommend using this carrier.Brian B.

I have no complaints about the staff, cleanliness, and general maintenance of the space. Thank you. The limited nighttime hours, though, was a disappointment, and the key pass arrangement was confusing and bothersome. Some signage explaining rules was wrong making it hard to know "what to do and whom to call" after the office closed. Also the requirement to purchase a specific lock was petty, and the way staff (management) communicated that (blocking out my lock) was annoying.MATTHEW J. | Overall Experience
The truck was in need of repair. When the gas pedal was pressed after complete stop, the truck had absolutely no power. This could cause an accident. The radio could not be heard because of the excessive noise with the windows up! Reserved a furniture dolly, none were available except for sale. There were no utility follies available on site as well. Had to rent an appliance dolly which was useless. I will never rent from this store again. Very dissatisfied!!!!Marcella Z.

I already paid for a month that I am not using, and you can rent out the unit and get a month's rent from someone else, double dipping. The only reason I didn't give an "excellent" rating was your credit for unused month policy. I paid for the full month of October on 10/2 and emptied the unit on October 11 but was told there was no partial month credit for the unused 3 weeks. That was disappointing.
