From the very beginning this process was unnecessarily stressful. Difficult to complete the online scheduling process, then getting contacted by their customer service about completing the set up that I already completed online, sitting on hold for 30 minutes for the West Allis store before giving up, and then being unable to find on the website where to upload a picture of my driver's license. Then picking up the truck involved standing out in the cold for 10 minutes alone in the back parking lot waiting for a representative "to approve the rental", driving a 26 foot truck that smelled like an ashtray and seemingly lacked any sort of shocks as I bounced with every bump and crack in the road, and getting a call from the store telling me my 8 hour rental from 7-3 pm was past due at 2 pm. Upon questioning the employee when I returned the truck on whether I would be paying a penalty, I received short answers and attitude. The question for this survey was "what can we do to improve for the next customer", and my answer is try not to make the customer feel like an inconvenience while providing you business.

you could use more attendants at the desk. I had to wait over 15 minutes for service. This has happened more than once for me. other than that my experience was great !!!!

The employees at the location of the storage facility were helpful but I had to take a day off of work to drive there in person because no one ever picked up the phone at the location. Every time I called I was rerouted to an offsite customer service rep that would state they couldn't help me because they didn't have access to the accounts at a different location. Tried chatting online and was also told that only a rep at the exact location could help. Leaving messages didn't help either. I would get a voicemail with the general number to call back and no one would pick up again. Tried calling corporate and would sit on hold for 30-40 minutes at a time and then have the same experience. While the face to face employees were helpful, the experience I had moving was horrible with this company. I had to go between 3 locations to get a truck and storage facility and then the size that I ordered wasn't available even though I had paid for it online with a credit card already. Miscommunication from the company only created more issues with trying to relocate out of the area. I have driven over 200 miles extra to deal with issues from moving and using the storage facility. Horrible experience.

Would be nice to have a little more customer service. I had rented a 4x7 trailer, took it home, realized it was too small (too narrow), brought back within the hour to rent a larger size. The person behind the counter had no interest in empathy to the situation, charged me for the rental of the first trailer and then charged me for the second trailer. Would not apply any or all of the first payment to the second trailer's rental price. Very frustrating and poor customer service. Will think twice about renting from this site in the future or recommending others to go here.

Lei them know about not being able to return the equipment after hours during protests. Having to drive the vehicle to my home instead of the uhaul facility adds extra miles & expense to my rental. If that had been explained at the time i made my reservation i would have tried to schedule earlier .

It's hard to improve on perfection. Courteous service from everyone, on the phone, at the counter and upon returning the truck. I needed my pick up and drop off times changed at the last minute and it was no trouble at all. I highly recommend this facility. I'll be using them again.

Felt bad for the "one" person working working the customer counter. We were 8 people deep the whole 50 minutes i was in line to get my rental. 6 people left during that time point of sale and rentals saying the will go to another center.

I purposefully did an online reservation. I booked at 830am so I could pick the truck up before the location opened to avoid people. Last minute my reservation changed to 9am. It wouldn't let me log in online and told me to go inside. So, I did and got in line with easily 10 other people. Then, I was able to check in online and it told me to go find my truck. Which I did. I left the line to find my truck. Then it told me t go back inside to get my key. So I lost my place in line and then was behind 8 people in a Covid hot spot. I am not happy. The app told me to hold up my phone which I did. But nothing. I arrived at 830 to get my truck (original time) and didn't leave until 10am with the truck. There was one person working on the first Sunday of the month (insane, felt so bad for him). I am not sure I will continue to work with uhaul. And, I don't typically write reviews. But this experience was so bad I feel like I need to share it.

I had to wait for a rep to hook up my car dolly. This took an extra 1/2 hour! You should be able to hook up yourself and just have a rep ok inspect it before leaving. I get that you want to make sure it's done correctly, but believe it or not, there are people that know how to do this! On the positive side, the staff there were super friendly! The man at the service desk helped me get a wiring adapter and made sure it worked before I bought it! Super!

I checked in online before going to pick up my Uhaul. I waited in line for 20 minutes. At the register, I waited until 10 minutes. I was very unhappy that the online checkin did not speed up the process.

On a Sunday morning, at the end of the month, I think they could use more desk help. At one point there were 8 people waiting. I was in the middle and still waited almost a half hr to get to the counter. The clerk was very efficient and kept a great attitude, even though some people made it difficult.

Returned truck with gas gauge equal to when I left. Only drove 6 miles. Claimed it was a millimeter lower. I asked how much to fill it and they said under 2 dollars. Really? Im not getting gas for that price. They then charged me $14 because of it. What a rip off. I won't be renting trucks from your company again.

The man and woman that both helped me were HORRIBLE with customer service. The female was ESPECIALLY AND PURPOSELY RUDE!!! THE PEOPLE SEEM MISERABLE! Uhaul must be a bad company because many of the employees act HORRID AND LIKE THEY CAN'T STAND AT BEING THIER JOBS, SO THEY TAKE IT OUT ON THE CUSTOMERS!!!?? WT!???

This was a horrible experience in customer service from beginning to end. When we arrived to pick up our reserved truck they had just given it to another customer. Then, they charged us for toll citations that the other customer received, and still have not responded to multiple emails, dispute forms and calls asking for their mistake to be corrected and to reverse the incorrect charges.

Plz don't up charge you're customers for returning a rental while the business is closed. You're customer service representative should mention this at checkout. Not in a text, we are moving and don't have time to read a text. messages.

The wait at the counter was long the first time due to a guy who had an ID and said the DMV messed up and it should have been a driver's license. I don't know what you can do to speed that sort of ridiculousness up, other than move him along or have him wait until others are taken care of. The young man who hooked up the trailer was GREAT and was fast and knew exactly what he was doing (and I believe was the same person who unhooked it on the return). The store is nice looking and clean, on the return there were 6-7 people waiting in line, and I just figured I'd drive around back and unhook it myself, but he saw me and came and helped right away. I think just finding a way to speed up the counter a bit would help, the whole contract seemed bulky, and with social distancing I couldn't read it anyway. I also didn't like giving my name, my alternative contact (my wife) and phone numbers with the same gentleman who can't tell a state ID from a driver's license standing 6 feet away. I can only recommend some counter improvement, but I don't know how without adding more staff. Without COVID restrictions it would probably be better.

The customer service rep who checked us in was very efficient and friendly. The gentleman who assisted us when we returned the truck was also very friendly. These guys made the entire process so seamless I was truly impressed. These days it is not often you encounter customer service people who sincerely care about their jobs and 5he people they service. Congratulations on having such a wonderful team! We will definitely recommend this U-Haul to everyone we know. Thank you!

My experience was fine with the staff working at the time but I was highly frustrated with the fact thtmat the 10 by 15 I had reserved had been rented to someone else. I needed this size and was not permitted to go bigger in size even though this was not my fault. Smaller didnt really work for what i needed.

Pick up was a nightmare. Only one desk clerk and line was out the door. Should be a way to facilitate picking up if you have a reservation. I get the covid angle but standing in line for over an hour is BS. Why register a pickup time if it's not honored?

I rented a unit online that would be large enough for the contents of a one-bedroom apartment. When I got to the facility, I was told I'd need take a cart back-and-forth to fill the unit, which I'd never had happen before. I ended up having to rent a different kind of unit I could drive up to. I reiterated that I had furniture and boxes from a one-bedroom apartment. When I got to the unit, it was only big enough for a few boxes. I had to go back to the office to get a unit that was the size I requested.

I feel that the prices are very high. The facility hours could be an extra hour. There is never enough staff always have to wait. I ran late four important reason and when I got to the facility I wanted to make sure that I could check out before the staff left. I think they should have oh way that they can access the key and let you be able to still use it since technically it is my last day until at least 10 or 11 because technically it still is my day instead I was locked out from being able to leave and the gentleman inside the desk was not helpful to my friend who went to tell him to let us out. Luckily there was a another employee that was outside other facility that was able to access and help us leave but we still had a couple big things to pick up and we had to leave it outside of the gate because of not being able to still have access. I don't think staff should have to be there to make sure that the unit is clean if I'm paying . They should be able to clean it out the next day that should be their job. We also rented a truck at one point and it is really misleading when they say $19 and some cents for a truck but by the time you include the miles and the hassle of bringing back the truck it was not a quick drop off there is a procedure and very time-consuming I feel that it is very expensive. I guess in a time of need and no one else has a truck a person has to be convinced that this was going to be an expensive rental and realize that they have to close their eyes about the expense of the truck. This is my opinion.

Customer service is horrible, long wait time, not knowledgeable about UHaul services and don’t care of customers needs at all...I had to look for a customer service person twice while I went to make payment and to rent a truck.
