I was overcharged, I filled up the gas tank to the level I had received before dropping off the van and dropped off the van after hours. I was wrongfully charged for fuel charge which is totally unfair and wrong. I am expecting a REFUND OF FUEL CHARGE AND AFTER HOURS SERVICE FEES as QR code link on the drop off box was also not working and it was frustrating in -15 degrees Celsius to go through the process and made us waste another 15 minutes to make a phone call to uhaul and let them know that van was dropped off.harsha D.
1. The sales associate did not want to set up my reservation when I appeared in person at the store. He said it would be easier for me to go online to make the reservation. 2. At home, when I looked at the pictures of the vehicle that was given to me and asked to confirm the condition of the vehicle, I quickly realized that the vehicle shown was not the vehicle that I was renting. I called the store when I got home, and the same associate didn't seem to want to deal / correct the issue. 3. The same sales associate told me that when I returned my vehicle, I was to drop the key in the slot and then take a picture of the QR code which would lead to a survey that would ask me a few questions about my experience. There was no mention of pictures having to be taken of the dash, and the vehicle which had to be uploaded, and the survey wasn't short. I was lucky that I didn't drop the key in the slot because I would not have been able to take a picture of the dash, or the interior if I had locked the door, having dropped the key in the slot already.Norman C.

The guy at pickup was great, but the lady upon returning was awful. She didn't come outside when I was ready to return it. She made me go unhook it and drop it off on my own. Obviously she forgot to enter it into the system, as I was charged for an extra day's rental. Had to argue about that and get a refund.Alexandre M.

I've hated my experience with uhaul from beginning to end. I had issues in the beginning with being triple billed for one month. I also was never able to get anyone on the phone at that specific office. I I find the staff to be lazy and do the very bare minimum for customers. I took an extra half hour yesterday to sweep up my unit and make sure it was nice and clean before I left. I was told that it was going to be inspected and when I checked out know anything care to look at it. ended up driving down after sitting on hold for over an hour just to ask a quick question. This has been nothing but a bad experience and I would definitely not recommend uhaul to anyone. The only reason I stayed is because I was in the middle of a separation and I had nowhere else to go. I am satisfied with the staff but when you book a reservation you should get the vehicle you choose. We had to drop down in size and make more trips and rush to get the move done. We still have to move stuff which we will have to borrow friends vehicles to get things done.Michael M.

The woman in charge of this facility is very arrogant and lacks customer service big time. We arrived at 4:57 pm to return the truck and she said we were closed even though they were supposed to take the truck as we arrived before 5:00 pm. The reason for not being satisfied with this location is the existence of a very disorganized employee. This is the second time that this employee gives wrong information about mileage and fuel consumption when delivering the car, and every time after being reminded, she acts on the so-called information, but unfortunately, the system when referring the car It does not accept online with modified specifications and it has caused problems for meAli S.
This location indicates that it is to be open at 7am, I arrived at 9am for a 9:30 pickup and there was nobody working. I waited with various other customers who expressed that they were displeased as they all had rentals and we're waiting around for an employee to show up. The staff members were polite and efficient, however the truck, eventhough looked ok, drove terribly. The steering was so loose that I had a hard time even staying in my lane and the transmission wouldn't always down shift. I had to shift it into neutral five times in order stop it. The fan doesn't run enough in the summer so the building can get very humid and natural materials will absorb the moisture and be wet. Whites will get stained. There was no warning of this, nor should there have been. Customers are led to believe it's climate controlled, so it either should be or should not be. Not just for one season. OK - so this was Sept. 1 and at 11:30pm the previous night my reservation for a 10' cargo for 2 days at another type of rental agency was cancelled via email. I logged-in, found a short-term rental (actually, both my local UHAULs had the same equipment availability) to at least get my kid out of their apartment (and into my garage), but not get them moved up from Newmarket to West Nippising. Resserved an 8:30am pick-up, 2 ppl ahead of me when I showed-up (early), the Admin was fast as lightning, proficient in every part of the transaction, and was very considerate when I had to call him over maybe being 30min late coming back from Mississauga ... this comment is directly related to the terrible experience with U Haul all up. I will definitely be second guessing my choice to use U Haul again. Customer service line- hours to wait and re circle and never reach anyone. Ten minutes before my pick up I received a text that just automatically moved my location to somewhere no where close by. Luckily I proceeded to do on line check - because when I went a further 20KM away to get truck there were several customers who had been moved from James Snow to Aurora for the same reason - and there was no truck for them available. James Snow could not explain anything and did not even have the decency to call. They are a shambles. You guys are a shambles. My ask is that I receive 50% of my money back due the disaster that this all was. I will sharing my perspective on social shortly given how brutal it really was.Rochelle C.

This was honestly the worst experience of my life. From being called a day before moving to be told a vehicle we reserved was no longer available. To waiting the morning of outside the shop for two hours after it being open and no one showing up. Not being able to reach anyone on your phone lines. This is the third time I am having a bad experience with this location. they say something else when you book it over the phone and it's a completely different story once you reach there. I booked a Uhaul 15" truck on Friday at 12 pm. but when I reached there, they had nothing to give me. I came empty-handed. then they called me 3 in the afternoon that you can come and pick the truck up. I again went there to pick it up. we loaded the truck from our storage unit and came home. we were so behind the schedule. my whole day got messed and we have stuff all over the lobby floor because we did not get time to tidy our place, we got so late. I have work on Sundays. now we have to wait till the next weekend to clean and put everything in its place. so unhappy, very unprofessional service. this whole week we have to stay In a mess. thanks to UHAUL Aurora. i ll make sure to give my business to someone else next time.Abhishek V. | Overall Experience
The alleyways with the storage units were quite dark and unlit after sunset. Also, the snow was plowed to the end of the strip, leaving it impassable for most of the winter and needing to dangerously reverse all the way to the back again since there isn't room to turn around. The storage unit itself was clean and dry and served it's purpose well. As someone working an unusual work shift outside of general business hours, however I personally would have liked to have had 24/7 access to my unit via the gate and my access code. I'm not sure why I even had an access code if I can't access the facility after hours; the gate is open 100% of the time during office hours, and I never, ever used my code I just drove in or around if a truck being returned was in the way. But longer access periods with customers willing to come at night with their code would be valued I think. Dear U Haul I want to share my experience with you guys. Let me start from very beginning. Everything starts from friday(20/8/21). I booked uhaul 20" truck online everything went smooth and at the same time i was looking for storage unit. I got a popup that i can get a free first month. I was like gr8 thats all i need and i went on to reserve it and apply the discount but somehow an error occurred. Then i called the uhaul toll free number. Lady picked up everything went well she said she applied the discount everything is good u now just have to pick up truck move your stuff and return the truck back. Was so happy until the moving day sunday (22/8/21). I went to pick up the 20" truck and it turns out that they dont have that. I was amazed like how can someone book you something that is not even available. I was like ok no problem i ll go with 15" and rest of the small stuff I ll move by my car. And just to make my moving more worse the truck was filthy, steering wherel and seats were sticky as there were lot of sweat and never cleaned but it was moving day, i ignored it. i put my stuff in the rental went to storage unit which was 40 kms away and when i reached there the guy said they cant apply the discount because the rental truck has to be one way or something. Again they promised me something else and charging me something else. I called u haul toll free as i was waiting outside. They said the same thing i said can i talk to manager and she even said the same thing. Then i replied i already got to know this thing from 2 other people but as a manager how you can help me out in this situation and while our conversation was going on I mentioned that i was getting it cheaper somewhere else but i choose u guys cuz of promotion and now u r saying this you cant honour it. Her reply just made me so angry, she said u should go to those guys if they r cheaper. Lady just hear yourself i m in ur truck its almost 4 o clock 5 o clock everything will be closed and i am 40 kms away from my city and u r saying this to go take it somewhere else. Thats just so rude and that's not a way to handle customer complaints. Gist of the story i am using u haul from quite a bit u can check my records and this was by far the worst experience I ever had with Uhaul. I want someone to look after my case and give me call back with all the answers i have. -Why you promised 20" truck but never had it? -why u told me that u have applied the discounts and made me go 40 kms and then only tell u can go somewhere else? -in these covid time why u don't assure the cleanliness and proper sanitation of the trucks? - why ur manager despite solving customer issues tell them to go somewhere else? This is important. And i want to let u know my brother and i are starting to feel itchiness in our hands and arms. So please make sure the cleanliness of the rentals.
