Truck steering wandered left and right. Rattlely sounds from undercarriage. Very thumpy ride. Worse, brakes were very soft and low. Customer services were very good, in all locations and on phone.

HAMID FThe Van was parked bumper to bumper to another van with no room to maneuver, so I had to wait to the other person to drive away the van that was parked behind the one I was assigned. The van itself was all covered in snow and there was no snow-brush. The cabin was not cleaned, the cabin floor and the dashboard, in particular. The cargo room was reasonably clean, no complaints on that part. The customer parking was not marked properly - it had a label at the far corner of the lot, not at the entrance side. The office rep was nice, polite, and professional in the morning; the rep in the evening upon return was also professional, but there were people in office that were hardly associated with the business. Overall, the experience was satisfactory.

GIAN DFix the app! It doesn't retain the pictures after the battery saver on the phone comes on (or channge apps). This is the second time the app lost all the info and photos after taking photos (-17°C). The last time was January. Seems like a good idea but it doesn't work. Fix it or don't offer customers to use it. I thought it would've been fixed since January.
MICHAEL BI rented a cargo van for about 4 hours to move some boxes from one location to another within Aurora. Pickup and return were both simple and quick. The rate was economical, and the van met my needs very well. If I have one quibble, it's that I could not see very much through the rearview mirror or over my shoulder. However, the two side mirrors and the dashboard camera screen helped me to drive and back up safely.

BRUCE GWe had booked online for the pickup at 8am. We got there and the entire uhaul location was closed and unreachable. There were 20 people waiting to pick their uhaul. We got through to the caller and they said they don't know what happened but there were no key in the keyboard. It was said that the location opens at 7am so for them to still be closed till 9am was ridiculous. We waited till 9am to get our uhaul. Highly disappointed
DYLAN Wwe waited 2 hours for the staff to open and by then probably 10 groups were waiting as well.No one explained why the delay but all in the line had people waiting to help them move!

JONATHAN GPretty good customer experience picking up the cube van (my pick up was mid month not end of month busy time) and the after hours drop off via the app is actually pretty good. I do not like the dolly and bag of blankets that they secure at the front of the truck and charge you if you break the plastic tie to use these items. These items tend to get in the way when you are loading and take up a lot of space in that area of the truck.

JAMES GHi. I did not experience for driving a truck. The vehicle was in the corner between other ones. The main route was closed and there was no guid or help to take out the vehicle. I injured another car due to tight space and it was a trouble. I recommend to assist your clients in this center when there is no open space for movement.
AMIR ROnline trip planner doesn't mean anything if the pickup location says they don't want to send someone to pick up the truck. Then why even have the trip planner?! False advertising and deception!!!!
Danny BThe door on the truck we rented would not close after moving most of the items into a Toronto condo. Because we still had two love seats in the truck, we couldn't drive with the door open. We called a general number for U-Haul and they arranged for a mechanic. We had to wait almost 3 hours for him. The mechanic was amazing and had to come from Ajax to Toronto in early rush hour and he solved the issue within 20 minutes by replacing the cables. Because of the delay, my trip back up to Aurora was delayed. I tried calling the Aurora office at least 4 times during the afternoon. No one answered. The love seats on the truck could not be delivered by the time I returned so I left them in the truck on the lot until the next morning. Again, I tried calling to no avail. I went right over after an early morning meeting. The lady behind the desk told me they took my love seats to the dump and that she had charged me an extra 200.00. There was no email or call before doing so. And again, they weren't answering the phone at that location. She told me I could "pick them up at the dump" if I wanted them back. Those love seats (new) were 3k each. Not only was I not going to pick them up at the dump, I didn't have a truck to get them. She eventually refunded me the 200.00 dollars. I have told several colleagues about this and they can't believe it. I would like to be compensated and look forward to your response. Khalen Meredith

JOHN FThere is no issue with this location per se but i have booked a truck a few weeks in advance in markham. But 7 am in the morning of Friday(a day before the pick up date) you call me and say that there is no other location in markham neither richmondhill nor Scarborough and i have to go all the way to aurrora to pick up the a 20 foot truck!!! It was 60km back and forth from my location to this location. I will try to avoid uhaul for future use cases as much as possible since it wasn't the first time you change the pick up locations for me even tough i book in advance
MOHAMMAD NI had a reservation at the Ballantrae location made 30 days ahead for 10am pick-up. When I got there promptly at 10am, I was told the vehicle reserved had been taken away for maintenance. I was not notified ahead of time. Shortly after 10 I received a call from U-Haul advising me that I could pick up a smaller vehicle in Aurora some 20 minutes away. Fortunately, U-Haul gave me a $50 credit and a reduction in the mileage rate as a consequence of the additional travel distance I would be undertaking. That said, the notification process should be looked into. What would have happened if I had booked the truck for 8am? If it is a matter that the Regional office doesn't open say 9:30 then that should be addressed.

I had to ask your office repeatedly to fix it and got no help. I had to contact your head office to get it fixed finally. 2. I still had no light bulb when I closed my unit - I have asked you and your staff for a lightbulb about a half dozen times over the past year and a half and got no where. You can't even stock light bulbs. 3. i asked you in the summer of 2023 to be put on a wait list for a smaller unit. You never got back to me, which I knew you wouldn't since you just wrote it on scrap paper and clearly did not care. Your company has lost a years long customer and money because of your inaction on basic sections of your job. 4. the south side button panel doesn't work and you know it, but continue telling people to use it. 5. You repeatedly blocked access to my unit by encouraging pick up and drop off of trucks in the entranceway; the only one with a functioning keypad. Once again, the south side keypad did not/does not function. 6. The GM once blocked my car in and refused to let me exit until I started recording her. 7. The hours were changed without notice, preventing my 24 hours access.

Firstly, I was to pick up my truck at 5:00PM Saturday...Because of the truck not being there when i got there at 4:30 PM, because the previous person did not return on time I had to wait around for 2 hours. Then when truck came back they had an accident and lodged the truck into your side of building. Luckily someone returned a 26 foot truck and i was provided a truck which was very dirty inside. The gentleman told me that dont worry, we will do something about discounting your klilometres when returned...When i came to return the truck yesterday, as entering your building there as all ice and it was not salted or cleared, I took a very nasty fall on the ice and have been in intense pain since. You can check your security camera. Luckily my wife and kids were there to help me. Your employee even though he saw me fall just sat there and did not even come to help. On top of that, when i told him about what happened yesterday and i would be discounted the kilometeres he said no he did not know anything about that and said call head office. I am not happy customer at all in an in great pain today because of Uhaul.

They like to charge you extra fees and try to charge your credit card when you did not give them permission to. They add on lean fees right away when I should have only been charged a late fee. The units weren't very secure at all - you could open it and the alarm would go off and they would just turn the alarm off and not even make sure it's your unit. Extremely convenient access hours considering most storage places I've ever rented from were 24 hr access so I can get my belongings anytime I'd like considering their mine and I pay to store them there. It was dirty everywhere, especially the washrooms. Instead of the washrooms being cleaned before the office opens or after the office closes they clean the washrooms during the day and customers aren't able to use it and have to wait.

I also was never able to get anyone on the phone at that specific office. I I find the staff to be lazy and do the very bare minimum for customers. I took an extra half hour yesterday to sweep up my unit and make sure it was nice and clean before I left. I was told that it was going to be inspected and when I checked out know anything care to look at it. ended up driving down after sitting on hold for over an hour just to ask a quick question. This has been nothing but a bad experience and I would definitely not recommend uhaul to anyone. The only reason I stayed is because I was in the middle of a separation and I had nowhere else to go. It's really unfortunate and I would happily discuss this further with someone.

There was no warning of this, nor should there have been. Customers are led to believe it's climate controlled, so it either should be or should not be. Not just for one season. I feel misled and cheated. The fans should run more often in summer and/or they should be removed and dehumidifiers installed and running when necessary.

I booked a Uhaul 15" truck on Friday at 12 pm. but when I reached there, they had nothing to give me. I came empty-handed. then they called me 3 in the afternoon that you can come and pick the truck up. I again went there to pick it up. we loaded the truck from our storage unit and came home. we were so behind the schedule. my whole day got messed and we have stuff all over the lobby floor because we did not get time to tidy our place, we got so late. I have work on Sundays. now we have to wait till the next weekend to clean and put everything in its place. so unhappy, very unprofessional service. this whole week we have to stay In a mess. thanks to UHAUL Aurora. i ll make sure to give my business to someone else next time.

Also, the snow was plowed to the end of the strip, leaving it impassable for most of the winter and needing to dangerously reverse all the way to the back again since there isn't room to turn around. The storage unit itself was clean and dry and served it's purpose well. As someone working an unusual work shift outside of general business hours, however I personally would have liked to have had 24/7 access to my unit via the gate and my access code. I'm not sure why I even had an access code if I can't access the facility after hours; the gate is open 100% of the time during office hours, and I never, ever used my code I just drove in or around if a truck being returned was in the way. But longer access periods with customers willing to come at night with their code would be valued I think. Thanks for the experience I will use you again if I need a unit in the future.
