The sending location was fine! It was the delivery location in North Carolina where the problem was! The delivery dates were changed and I was not made aware of it! I had to hire at the last minute someone to unload the uboxes! It cost mean additional $250 that I had to borrow to complete the delivery! The young ladies who delivered and picked up the boxes were extremely professional and courteous! I've used Uhaul so many times in the past and never had a problem! Dog hair all over driver seat it actually smelled like a dog in the van. I brought it back early I just could take the smell anymore.Melissa A.
My credit card number was stolen and maxed out within 24 hours after entering it into the U-Haul website. The movers who were meant to do the work were called Top Tier. U-Haul took ZERO responsibility for how this happened on their website. My truck was not just run down but the transmission kept slipping. It had been in an accident and had not been repaired. It was expensive too! They billed it in a bunch of parts so it took a supervisor to break it down with me. Carlos at the Waterbury store told me to â€œjust not come backâ€ when I complained about my card being stolen. For all I know, it was him who maxed out my card even. Try to find a different place or situation. And, I put more gas than I needed in because my phone was dead when I was pumping, and or course no credit was applied to my account.Melissa S.

I've used this location several times for rental trucks and rental trailers. It's always easy to get in and out quickly. The staff have always been friendly and helpful, and the equipment has always been clean and in good condition. I will continue to use this location for my future rental needs. The only concern I have is that the entrance and exit could be more clearly designated. There are small signs and pavement arrows, but other renters are often driving out the entrance driveway or in the exit side, complicating traffic flow for others. I recognize that this is really a driver shortcoming, not a UHaul issue, but better signage might help confused renters.Andrew W.

Was stressed because I had to pick up truck at a location other than where I scheduled. However, Gen Mgr. Brittni Valderrama made the experience easier with her friendly yet professional attitude. The staff member who helped us obtain the vehicle was helpful and nice, but the vehicle was in rough shape. The check engine light was on and the right brake light did not work. We didn't realize the issue with the brake light until after we left on our trip. The gas was also marked on the rental agreement as 3/4 of a tank. This was untrue. It was between half a tank and 3/4. We noted this to the person who helped us, and he took a photo to add to the agreement information. He said to bring the truck back at the actual fuel level we started with, and that we would not be charged for the difference from the rental agreement since he uploaded the photo of the fuel gauge. On my receipt I can see that we were charged for the difference in fuel. I will be pursuing a refund for this charge.Catherine M.

We rented the van to move a family member to a neighboring state. The van sputtered, shook and hesitated while driving. Upon returning the van, we notified the assistant manager, Steve, of our experience so that the van could be repaired before it was sent out with another customer. He said "that sounds like it was it was quite stressful". I acknowledged that it was. He stated that he would call me the next morning at 11 and "take care of me" for the bad experience. He did not call. I called Uhaul and he stated that he had just gotten in and would call me back by 1p. The call never came. The next morning my wife called the location and spoke to the manager. She started to tell my wife that we should have called road side assistance. My wife interrupted her to say that was an unacceptable as an after the fact resolution. The manager went off on my wife telling her how rude she was for interrupting. My wife was dumbfounded and after a few seconds of silence just replied "wow" and expressed her dismay at being spoken to like that from a "manager". The manager abruptly put my wife on hold without explanation. After 10-15 minutes of being on hold my wife hung up and called Uhaul customer service to file a complaint. The CS agent was very nice and said that she would email Steve and ask him to call me. That was on Friday 10/14. He still has not reached out to me. It is a shame, as we have been using this uHaul location for years. The lack of respect for the customer is reprehensible. I urge you to pull the recorded call between my wife and the manager. It took place on Friday 10/14 sometime between 10a and 10:30 to hear the lack of professionalism from the manager for yourself. I am extremely disappointed in the lack of respect and customer service from both the manager and assistant manager at this location.david A.

I had rat feces all over my furniture, storage containers. I was extremely upset that it stuck to my belongs and had to get rid of some of my items. I was supposed to be able to pick up through the reservation link, but it kept telling me that GPS location told them I was at the wrong store and my reservation was elsewhere, but I was at the exact location I was supposed to be in. The store wifi location must have been "off"? The staff are wonderful (better than the all male pre-Covid staff). The first van I had to return (no brake or signal lights), the staff were friendly and accommodating for me to exchange vans. The second van was older, missing interior panels which made the 500 miles I drove arduous with a whistling sound so loud I had to drive with the windows open to mask it. Nonetheless I'd go back should I need another van because the staff's efficiency and friendliness.ANDRE K.

Big problem with the trailer I rented. Says it's 6x12 but the end with the gate is less than 5'-6â€ wide. This caused problems because equipment we had measuring 5-6â€ had to be lifted over this end. Several items were damaged because of this discrepancy. You need to let customers know it's not 6' wide at the entrance.Rual R.

There should be a place to rank 0/5 to the UHaul website and who ever changed my reservation to another location twenty miles away and to a different product!! If i wanted an open trailer in a thunderstorm I would've reserved one. Changing it without discussion from a closed trailer could have ruined the FOOD SUPPLIES and canceled the Scout's ONLY fundraiser for the year! ZERO stars for whichever UHaul asshole did this without telling us. We'd absolutely not recommend using UHaul to our friends if we thought there's a chance you'd just up and change the reservations without telling us. Thankfully, the folks in Waterbury were empathetic to the kids' needs and helped us find a workable solution. I really appreciate them taking the time to listen and make it work. I had expensive items stolen from my storage unit. At one point it was put up for auction and I never received a notice by mail or email. We had financial issues because I had heart surgery then my fiancé became very sick.
