I was thinking about this. I was trying to decide if I could've gotten one improvement, which would I request. Either automatic window controls or cruise control. I just decided that cruise control would've been much more convenient. All in all I encountered very helpful and pleasant customer service, as well as a clean ,well equipped vehicle. I highly recommend my interaction with U-Haul. Thank you.

I could not get through on the phone all day,kept being sent to call center where they could not answer my questions. Call center tried 3 time with three different call center employees. I had to go down there after work to get questions answered and aquire a storage locker.

To Whom It May Concern, When I called and held our reservation for a U-Haul POD, we chose the date: Sunday, July 31. Twenty-four hours prior, we were told the truck would come in between the hours of 10:30am and 12:30pm. We had people arrive at our apartment to help us load the pod at 10:45. After three phone calls, and after being told the delivery people were running late, the pod showed up at 1:50pm. Initially, when I held the reservation, I told the customer service that I would need the pod in Los Angeles sometime around the 4th of August. However, we did not yet know the exact address of the apartment during the initial phone calls. I eventually called back with the address and told them again that we need it there by the 6th of August this time (and not August 4th). When we looked at our online reservation, it said the pod was to be delivered on Saturday, August 13th, seven days after our arrival. I attempted to change the date online as I was told I could edit my reservation at any time I needed. This did not work out. I called U-Haul and eventually spoke to someone who told me that they saw that the reservation was on there for the 13th, but that the pod was guaranteed by August 9th with a guaranteed drop off date of August 9th and that I didn't have to worry. So I didn't. Upon arriving in Los Angeles, I called U-Haul for an update and, again, I was told August 9th. On August 8th, 24 hours in advance, I still had not received a text saying when the POD would arrive. I called U-Haul to find that a truck broke down and our POD would not be delivered until August 13th. They could provide us with no further details. We literally ran out of clean clothes to wear as the remainder of our clothing was inside the the pod. The next day, we checked our reservation online and saw that the pick-up address was not our apartment in Los Angeles, but the storage facility in Los Angeles. I quickly called U-Haul and was told that they were informed that we were going to pick up our belongings from the warehouse. This was never said to anyone and it is deeply unclear who received and passed along that incorrect information. I even called U-Haul customer service with the apartment address over a month in advance! Eventually, after being placed on hold for quite a long time, we were told that they could probably schedule us for August 11th to drop off the POD between 3:00-5:00pm, but they would call us in advance to let us know what time. On August 10th, we were told the POD would arrive for sure somewhere between 3:00-5:00pm. The POD did not come between the hours of 3 and 5pm. We received no communication from U-Haul about this. Hours and hours and at one point, no one U-Haul knew where the drivers were, and, there was not an update in the computer system according to the customer service rep I spoke to. I only received information when I went out of my way to contact U-Haul's customer service, yet again, and was told there was no update in the computer system so no one knew where our driver was. As 7:30pm rolls around, the POD is still not here and the scheduling department is now closed. I called the 1-800 number for customer service and they could not tell me anything aside from saying that, on occasion, delayed PODS will still get delivered really late at night. Our POD finally arrived a few minutes before 10:00pm â€" 5.5 hours after said delivery time with no communication about delays or arrival time in between. I acknowledge that the truck breakdown is not anyone's fault and Covid has posed difficulties for workers. However, this experience has not been acceptable, has greatly lacked reliable customer communication, and we are due some money returned to us. Pauline Hasty

My husband was smacked in the face with the tow hitch while at the drop off location, during business hours. While dropping off the tow dolly early in order to more easily unload the truck, there was a staff member in the return equipment line. After WE, my husband and I, unhooked the vehicle (with some minor help from the staff due to one of the metal chains, placed by the uhaul person at the pick up location, being stuck), the staff member instructed me to back off the tow dolly, after confirming that I was clear to back up, i began to back the car off the tow dolly and the tow hitch popped up and hit my husband solid in the face. The staff member was standing directly next to him and was watching him. Why did the staff member not warn him to back away or just tell me to wait until my husband was clear of the area? My husband now has loose teeth and likely a facial scar. He is lucky he didn't knock put any teeth or chip them and/or break any bones in his face. The staff was only minorly concerned about the welfare of my husband after the incident. Why was staff not more involved in the return of the equipment? We had to do everything ourselves including unhooking the metal chains, to undoing the ratchet straps, and extending the ramp to drive off the tow dolly. The only thing the staff did was roll the tow dolly out of the was after our vehicle was off the tow dolly and minor help with the stuck metal chain. The tow dolly was also taken off during business hours and we later dropped off the truck after hours following all of the steps outlined. We were told that there would be no issue with dropping of the tow dolly early and the truck to follow. I am just waiting for the staff to not check in the tow dolly. We would love to contact this store directly, but ALL phone numbers lead us to the main uhaul menu, which takes hours to get to the "correct" person, which is not on site at the storage center. The customer service system is terrible as well. The system does not nessicarily get you to the correct representative even if you follow the prompts correctly.

Don't rent a truck that has 155000 miles on it that rides like a tank the steering had at least 3 inches of play in the wheel and the rear tires were way past their useful life im just glad we did not brake down on the side of the road. Oh Ya I forgot that the door did not seal so you have a wind sound the whole time the truck was in motion very loud.

The real issue is that Devon Storage was were my initial reservation was for, never answered the door. Uhaul customer service got me a reservation at this location after waiting 45 minutes at the first location. This location gave me a truck with snot on the steering wheel, clearly not cleaned with a 1/4 tank of gas. When I prefilled I'd need the truck for considerable mileage, just another waste of time and annoyance. I've spent well into the 4000 dollar range with uhaul in the last 7 years and this experience has me leaning towards trying home depot in the future

The service was very good and they went above and beyond in getting me a truck, but it had issues like a big chunk was taken out of one of the front tires, and it was missing a front turn signal, both of which I missed on the pre-trip inspection. The vehicle also shook badly while going down the road. But I was able to move and in the end that's what matters.

UHaul charged us for 2 additional gallons of gas. UHaul didnt give us a full tank to start which it ALWAYS should so we know how much gas to put in to make it like we got it instead of somewhere below F but above 3/4 of a full tank. My husband filled it and was sure it was where it was at when we got it. Uhaul thought differently and charged us their rate. Be careful of UHaul taking advantage of this - WATCH YOUR GAS LEVEL...ask for a full tank would be my recommendation!!!

The only issue I had with this location was that it seemed like they were also a little short staffed. There were only two people on the lot taking truck returns and there was a line halfway around the block. The attendants were clearly stressed and frustrated, but still friendly and informative.

I was told I only had to worry about the rental fee and a variable fee per mile driven, but instead I received 2 additional $30+ fuel fees. When I tried to resolve this issue via online chat on the UHaul website, the employee I was having a conversation with cut off the conversion and left me without a resolution. The wait time to talk to a representative was awful. I was in Milwaukee trying to get a location drop off and it said it would be an hour hold. Then we got disconnected. I called another number was on hold for 15 min. The customer service representative was absolutely wonderful! Just wish there was not such long wait times and more wonderful employees to answer the calls.

I could NEVER got through via phone to this specific location. Was always transferred to the main U-Haul operator. I had a specific question I needed to ask that location. So I gave up trying. When I was there picking up my vehicle and no one other customers were at the location I called just to see if they would pick up. Again, went to main U-Haul customer. Not sure why they even post the phone number for this location. Also, when checking in it was not a very friendly experience. The workers were not very friendly. This location was not busy. Felt just like a number in line.

Took me nearly 3 weeks and multiple times contacting Uhaul support to get my account closed out after moving out of the unit. Customer service was beyond poor and made what was a relatively easy and smooth experience very frustrating. I would not recommend doing business with this location to anyone. Also the move out date is marked at 7/28/22 but I actually moved out on 7/11/22.

Place of pick up was nice and people were very helpful. But the truck itself is horrible. Worst seats they can have can barely adjust them, radio sounds terrible there's no USB port to listen to your phone or even charge it. Mirror are adjusted manually. There's no way you can see the car you're towing while on the run. No cruise control? Really for a truck you use to cross the country there's no cruise control.

The van was covered in human pee. They did not warn the drop off location about our experience which meant they were very confused as to why we were mad. It was not fun. There is no way we should have been given that truck covered in urine, honestly I'm not sure I'll use uhaul again, certainly not that location.

I ordered a ubox for self-delivery. The uhaul computer system wouldn't allow the the store to dispatch the ubox so I had to pay $45 to rent a truck, load all of my stuff, bring it to uhaul, then cross load it into the ubox. Had to pay for the truck and also load my stuff twice in 100% humidity. Finally, the store said that it wasn't their fault so they weren't able to do anything to make this right for me. Very unhappy and terrible experience.

Poor service. I went outside twice to find the truck, 3 people were at the desk, nobody wanted to show the truck to me. I was rented a truck with a broken windshield, a check engine light on, and the receipt they gave me showed a tank 3/4 full when it only had 5/16 full showing in the vehicle. When the truck first started, it seemed like it was burning oil.

First, our designated building had no carts for us to use. Second, The staff gave me a unit that already had a lock placed on it. I called for help, waited 20 mins, but was on a tight schedule so went to start moving things in. They left because "no one was there" - we called them to come back and remove the lock, while we waited we everything into that unit. When they finally arrived, they said they couldnt help me. She gave me the wrong unit and I needed to move everything to a new unit and n a completely different building. This not only made the already stressful moving experience more stressful, but it wasted about 2 hours of our time and energy because of the staff error and lack of attention to the issue when it occurred. For the trouble of moving everything a SECOND time, they said they would give me a free month of rent and we agreed. When I went to verify the free month they said they will actually only give me 20% off, but couldn't verify that this actually happened. Overall, very poor service and attention to detail. I can't confirm if I have actually received anything back for the issues but I wanted to communicate to this to hopefully avoid this issue for anyone else. After already moving into a unit, it is unacceptable to make someone move again. The issue should have been caught and remedied immediately, hopefully it will for future patrons! After I move out I will likely not recommend this to anyone else

The facility didn't seem to be very clean. We visited our storage unit several times within two weeks and the same garbage that was laying there when we got there was still laying there outside the storage facility when we left. Also at the doorway there seemed to be an accumulation of a lot of garbage people might've just left there. My husband said the bathrooms were disgusting. I never visited them

I've rented from Uhaul for every single move. This was the first year that I experienced such poor customer service. From the truck I had requested not being available day of (and the staff struggling to think of a solution for over half an hour) to my storage room move out not being processed for over a month. I was sent emails and mail threatening to put a lien on property in the storage unit despite moving out on the 11th of November. I tried calling the Walker's Point location multiple times and was always redirected to the Corporate number. Customer service reps for Corporate sent the Walker's Point location emails to tell them to get in contact with me, but they never did. Finally, I got a final bill yesterday reflecting my move out within the free month, no mention of late fees or anything. I assume it is because the staff finally took the time to actually go to my unit and see that it was cleaned out and empty. I will not be using Uhaul in Milwaukee for future moves. The only good thing you have going for you is being cheaper, but I would gladly pay more money to avoid the headaches I experienced this time around.

Staff is very unprofessional. Don't talk to your customers like they are your friends. Be compassionate when someone presents a problem to you, instead of acting annoyed that you have to follow up, respond to customers emails in a timely manner, allow customers to call the actual store itself if they need support. Found a roach on my belongings (how often are you exterminating?) Also, was charged for the month of December even thought my belongings were removed before the end of November. Spoke to the manager who said he would take care of it, still waiting for my refund…Just overall a ghetto experience. Would NEVER recommend anyone to this facility, nor will I be returning.

Getting the truck was fine, but the storeage location was a problem. 1st they rented me a store that was already rented. I didn't find out til we were there with a truck full and couldn't unload. Then they switched the rooms but I had to get a smaller room. From 10x15 to 10x10. Then I go with 2nd load and the card doesn't work on it's after hours so I had to keep the truck overnight for another night to have the card fixed so I can get into unload the truck. More fees for me. And 3 nights to move what should have been 4 hours.

I had to upgrade my original reservation to a larger unit to store my belongings. When I got to my larger unit, there was a massive pillar in it which takes up a great deal of space that I needed. I didn't have the time or energy to go back and change units AGAIN as I was on a time limit to get things done. So I'm rather displeased that I have a huge pillar taking up the space I needed for storage.

My storage units got wet due to rain. Still haven't heard back from the manager before I left the state. My furniture was damaged due to 2 out of 3 of my storage units being wet in August after the rain. Filed a insurance claim with RepWest and the claim was closed due to no response from Joey. I would love to have furniture in my new home. My couches were ruined, my television, washer and dryer.
