The trailer was in terrible shape. One tire was nearly flat. We checked the pressure and it was at 14 psi. There was obviously no intake inspection or maintenance between rentals. This could have been a very dangerous situation for us. We might not be able to never rent from uhaul again, but we certainly won't rent from this location againMelissa J.

When I arrived at the location where I made the reservation, the truck was not available. I had to drive to another location further down the road. The Service representative was nice. My overall service experience was very good.sharon W.

Truck was very old and felt unsafe. Gas gauge didn't work properly which I didn't know that until after a few hours of having the truck. I was charged for 9 gallons of gas even though I put 5 gallons prior to returning it. I only drive 49 miles so Im not happy about that. Location was slow too.Jeff W.

Vehicle condition: Cab of truck was dilapidated and dirty. Parking brake light flickered intermittently even though I set and released parking brake a few times. Steering was â€œlooseâ€ or front end was out of alignment, which made steering a chore. Admin: There was no one at the store to check in my vehicle (and several other customers') when I arrived an hour before closing. Key drop box was hard to find, and self-check-in instructions were useless. Sorry. I have had good experiences with U-Haul in the past, but this time it was a mess.Robert P.

I will never use your services again and will do everything in my power to insure nobody I know does! I got two trucks because I was told I would need two by movers. They were able to get it in one after all so I had a truck in Birmingham and it made no sense to drive it to Florida. I put 71 miles on the truck and turned it in in Tuscaloosa about 4 hours after I picked it up. UHaul says sorry it is not our policy to give refunds on this type rental! So 71 miles, 4 hours and for $405! I assure you I will cost your company way more than $405 in lost revenue after this and will never grace your doors again. Neither will anyone I know if I can help it! I will offer to pay for their next rental if they use anyone but y'all. We will all starting today blow up social media with bad press for UHaul!Bert M.

I want to personally thank Michael McFarland for Excellent Customer Service. I observed his kind/professional mannerisms while multitasking and meeting everyone's need. The process did not take long and he made sure I had a good truck to drive safely to Gainesville Georgia! Recommend this location only because they are a â€œservice centerâ€ and finding equipment elsewhere is difficult. I have used this location many times over many years and the level and quality of service and equipment has steadily declined - to the point in June 2022 the trailer I rented had NOT be checked for operation and had failed breaks which caused the brakes on my vehicle to burn up and need replacement. Uhaul had to pay out on that claim. Service has really gotten BAD. Even after my bad brake experience I pleaded with GM on this Dec 2022 rental to please make sure equipment was checked out. He said never heard of anything like that happening - even seemed to dismiss what I was saying When I got trailer home to load, the inside of the trailer had trash in it and had not been swept out. So obviously it had not been checked. Claiming staff shortages shouldn't be an excuse for quality and safety in what they do.Randy M.

I had been to 4 location that you all had sent me to and their was no trucks before you all sent me to this location.i was all over Birmingham for 2 of the location and then hueytown for one of the location and then Montgomery hyway. I pre registered on line to rent the van. All went well and I received a confirmation number. The next day, as I was checking out, the representative told me the order would not process, so I had to call the 1-800 number to find out why. Not sure why I had to call . I would suggest the representative call because I did everything required of the online registration and thought the order processed. I called the 1-800 number and the voice on the other end of the phone said the confirmation number was in some else's name. To say the least, I was confused. The 1-800 person â€˜fixedâ€ the problem.I then had to go back to the store representative to complete my transaction. The gentleman at the store was great-but the process could have been better. The Store was supposed to open at 9. No one showed until 9:45. I had movers scheduled, so now we are out double the money for movers because of how long it took for the person who showed at 9:45 to help us. Both employees who came took personal phone calls on their cell phones while assisting customers who had been waiting an hour for the store to open up. My first month of storage was supposed to be free per the promo and the employee charged me and then informed me there was nothing she could ro and I would have to come back next month if I got billed then. When we came back in after unloading to return the truck, an employee was sitting behind the desk on a stool sleeping. My husband got a picture of this.
