I ordered a trailer and furniture dolly on-line. It was critical to the moving of large granite slabs. When I got to the store to pick up the trailer and dolly, I was told the location did not have the dolly reserved on-line. It is incredibly poor service to allow scheduling of equipment only to find it is not available. I could have and should have rented from a location that had the equipment I needed.DANIEL HOWARD W.

I didn't feel very welcomed when picking up my truck. There is no positive customer service by handing someone some keys and a piece of paper and saying â€œyour truck is out thereâ€. I had to remove your cardboard sign and look over the truck prior to taking it. The truck itself was FILTHY inside the cab. There was cigarette ashes everywhere and the center console area was absolutely DISGUSTING. When returning the truck it would have been nice to know to just leave the keys in it and take off. I went inside to return the keys and it was as if I was a burden by bringing the keys inside. Overall my experience was less than desirable at this trip. I have rented from here before and had good experiences, however, this trip was less than desirable.Kyle C.

The cargo van I rented was dirty, someone dumped a slushie in the front and the back was full of animal hair. The staff was friendly enough and helpful. I also had a TERRIBLE experience with UHaul overall and a manager was supposed to call me back from the Western Michigan office, so I'm pissed that no one ever reached out or made things right.Kelsey R.
Overall I had a good experience with the uhaul employees, my issue is with the truck. I was rented a salvaged truck that reeked of gasoline and poison and was told AFTER I only was rented this truck because they overbooked reservations. They advised they didn't want to rent this truck out otherwise. I was charged the full amount despite this. Extremely disappointed in the quality of the truck and the fact a reservation was confirmed despite over bookings. What is the point of making a reservation.Madelynn P.

Wrong mileage on receipt. Uhaul said it was 10 miles above actual mileage. So we would have been charged for that. Wrong gas amount. Said it was half way about 3/4 full. Actually slightly under 3/4. We would have had to pay extra. Van showed L front tire low and needed air. Uhaul said it was fine. Just cold weather. Warning never went off, even after it warmed up. Parking system results in returning vans blocking picking up rental vans, and then blocks picking up your own car when you return van. Needs to be more intelligently thought out. Told I couldn't pick up van until 4:15 but there were plenty of vans available. It was an inconvenient time. Not impressed.Rebecca L.

I waited in line 45 minutes, only one person was working the counter. The trailer had an intermittent tail light, the attendant had to â€œjiggle the wire â€œ several times to get it to stay on. My reservation was for 10:00 am, it was after 11:00 before I left, parking lot was overfull, U-Haul equipment blocking places to park, very chaotic.RICHARD DARYL L.

Generally clean, but truck needed to be swept out after last customer. Cargo area smelled very strongly of perfume - I think previous customer broke a bottle of something back there. The u-haul app is terrible. I appreciated being able to pick up and drop off after hours, but was very frustrated trying to use the app. Uploading pictures didn't work very well. Connecting via the web site worked better. Also,it would have been good to know ahead of time that an alternate contact would need to be contacted before I could complete check out.Michael J.

They called when hitch came in and said they had time to install today if I had time. I was there about 30 minutes later and waited for about 40 minutes while it was installed. Great work!!J. Richard S.
Staff appropriately. Make ubox pick up better. You want customers to call 24 hours in advance. Yet, when I showed up, you weren't ready and we had to wait over an hour for our box to come out of storage. Then, the box looked pretty beat up and had a new bolt on it that took another 20 minutes to get off. Not a good customer experience, at all! Forget trying to call in, you'll get booted to corporate answering service.KRISTY M.

Easy Service. I had a relatively brand new 9ft van with only 6K miles on it. The van drove great and it was easy enough to maneuver. Really simple process to rent a vehicle too. I just called and made a reservation and then you go in and pay for it. Very easy and affordable too. The staff at this location is very helpful and the long line moved quickly. A huge thank you to them. However, using the app to pick up a truck was an absolutely horrible experience. Just check in at the counter and get a key. This actually saves about 20 minutes of unnecessary bullshit.David H.

The issue is Uhaul corporation, not the Troy location. I made a reservation for a 6x12 trailer, when I arrived there was a long line. All people who had reservations that were not available because of website issues. I am due a $50 payment for the equipment guarantee.FIRAS HIKMAT A.

The mobile check in process didn't work, the line at the counter was very slow. The truck was very dirty, had not been cleaned, had garbage inside, smelled horrible, no gas. Returned it after 3 hours. No one available to check back in. 3 days later received a call asking where the truck was. After I told them it had been returned they said oh yah, I have the keys right in front of me.Howard M.

The charges can not add up! For instance, I have 3 u-Boxes stored in U-Haul Troy MI facility, per month fee for one box was $84.95, but I was charged $308.85 before Tax? How the numbers were added up? No explanation! This happened several times!Daqing Z.

Overall ok, the 2 workers (one on the computer and the other guy that was just standing there) could have acknowledged me while I was standing in front of the line for like 3 minutes. At return, it took about 5 minutes for someone to check the truck in.KELVIN LEWIS M.

I can't rate the location because my issue was with the scheduling and according to the pickup location, they have no control over that. I schedule my truck a month in advance for pickup at 10am. The night before my move date, they email my confirmation with a 11:30am pickup. I called the location, and they said the truck was being dropped off at 11 and would be available for me at 11:30 and there was nothing they could do. When I went to pick it up, it wasn't there and I was told to come back in an hour. When I contacted customer service, they pulled my reservation causing it to cancel at the original pickup location and scheduled it at another with a pickup time of 4pm. We did get the 4pm vehicle, but by the time we loaded and drove to our location, it was 8pm and had to unload the following day. Needless to say, I will never use UHaul again. What to do to improve for next customer; don't double book your vehicles and when you have a scheduled reservation, make sure that truck is available for that day at the schedule time!!!DAWN ELAINE Z.

Excellent service, love uhaul! Comment about the truck though, I forgot to mention on return. It is tired. 140k mikes and does not feel safe driving loaded. Steering control does not tighten with acceleration and it is a very low control, shaky and unnerving driving experience. I have rented many trucks, this one is ready for the pasture. I seen it was a 24 hr accessible and I went at 11 Pm at night to put stuff in storage and the drive way was blocked with uhaul trucks and I tried to use the pin code I got and it said I was denied and that the unit was closed so if your not a 24hr storage why put it in on the paper when we get the unit and why advertise it on the website and the lock thing on the door needs to be adjusted on unit E-156Natashia C. | Online Move In
