Upgrade your computer system. Get another server; it’d be well worth it to prevent people from migrating to Home Depot’s rental truck/moving service. If you don’t, the stress on your employees and customers will resolve itself and likely by leaving.

We reserved the rental almost a week in advance to make sure everything was set up and ready to go but when we got there we had to wait because they couldn’t find our reservation information and didn’t know what size truck we needed but everything turned out ok but it should have been ready.

This rental experience had a very unpleasant start. My initial pickup location was 212 Washington Ave, Bedford VA. Even though I had a confirmed 8:00 am reservation, the rep had not arrived by 9:30. I called the 800 number to transfer my reservation to another location which turned out to be Timberlake Road, Lynchburg VA. Upon arrival, there was a long line which moved slowly due to EXTREMELY slow computer system. I basically sat there silently because the agent spent the time waiting for each web page to update by playing with an ink pen vice customer interaction. After 75 minutes, I was finally on my way--two hours and 45 minutes late! This impacted the timing of my planned one-day moving activity and forced me to extend my reservation for two more days. I do appreciate the actions of Ivania Del Cid-Orellana, Reservation Manager on 28 Sep. She promised me a $50 credit for the difficulties. Nonetheless, this whole situation left a bad taste in my mouth. I have used Uhual several times in recent years, so I hope that was an aberration. Please contact me if you have any questions. The store was clean with a large selection of equipment. The equipment was in good shape. The reason I scored it poor was the computers were very slow. Your weight time exceeded 25 minutes for rental and return. Uhaul needs a more efficient system to service their customers.

I spent an hour and a half waiting the first day. 12 people in ine behind me. Took 5 attempts at putting in my information for the system to take it. Everyone that worked there was dealing with the fact that the Richmond server was shut down and now the whole company is running off of one server in Phoenix Arizona? ARE YOU KIDDING ME? one server for your whole company. Ive used UHAUL 4 times now over the years and every year theres an issue. but no one ever does anything to mend the situation when i bring it up. I had a conversation with the manager at the location and hes very nice and was honest and open about the issues but he obviously had no control. when i returned the truck there was 1 person working. after waiting 40 minutes he said that i couldve just given him the key and left when i got there. If he had told me that sooner i wouldve but he neglected to tell me so he wasted my time. other than the the guys that work there are fine, theyve just been set up for failure by the company they work for. thank you for wasting my time, taking a lot of money for a beat down old truck that was in dire need of a tune up, and i hope i never have to move again.

They all were friendly associates. Just took a long time to rent because they only have one server for several stores across Virginia as they were saying in the store. Even if you have booked ahead of time be there earlier than your time chosen.

I had to extend the days because of not being able to get in the apartment that I was suppose to move in, because the tenant didn't want to move out...Every time I call to extend the lease I was also charged INSURANCE each time.....it was the same contract, so I feel like I should of only been charged the insurance one time, and when I called in to extended the days, it should of been just the 19.95 that I was told!!!!!

Anytime I went to the office for assistance, no one would be around. There's a shortage of help. When I wanted to end my unit, I tried to call and the wait time was over 20 mins. You need people.

I was in an indoor unit where they were doing construction. The garage door closest to my unit was not accessible and I would often have to wait if someone else was unloading or others would wait.

The only issue was being issued Unit 96 but it was on our account as Unit 94. Due to this we were locked out twice in 2 days and had to request that the second lock be removed.
