This place is very good service.

Gerald J.The new policy regarding a secondary contact to rent a trailer is ridiculous, I have a long rental history with your company and I found it incredibly insulting when I needed a trailer in a pinch. This policy will be the number one reason for me to now go find and buy my own utility trailer so I will never have to rent from U-Haul again. Regarding the quality and condition of the trailer I rented, HO 1674 N, it had a broken license plate light and a dirt clods caked on the floor, which I had to clean out myself before transporting my items. However, it at least had decent tires and its other lights worked well enough.

They have great customer service at this particular location, exceptional really . From Steve to Sabrina and Sam, the 3 S's are great. The first guy that helped me when I rented it, im sorry I can't recall his name. He was the black youngster at the check in. He helped me in a huge way. I needed a 2" lift and he did all the prep work and then my wiring was loose. Him and another guy(who's name slips my mind) he went above and beyond what anywhere else would of tried to tack on a bunch of fees. Just so their bosses know they have an exceptional crew and that should be rewarded and acknowledged. I truly appreciate their dedication to customer service. THANKS GUYS!!
ANDREA D.The only critique I would offer is to get a little more organized a out the parking. Trucks were kind of parked everywhere and people that were renting trucks were parked all over the place some blocking the rental trucks.

Michael G.I was asked by uhaul if I wanted to partake in the load share program and I agreed. When I went to pick up the load they had given me the wrong location. It took me 30 mins to drive to the next location. Once there it took about another half hour to get assistance with getting the trailer hitched. Once I arrived at the Thornton location I was told I would need to take the trailer with me because the warehouse was closed (it was 6:30p, they closed at 7). I told the gentleman that I was going to unhitch and drop off the trailer either way because I was told that was an option. He told me it was my liability not theirs if something happens with the load. I went ahead and started unhitching when he came out 20 mins later saying his manager told him that as a courtesy they would unhitch it for me and keep the load. I was already done and left.
Ricardo L.The owner and his staff are very rude. The check-in guy was really nice. The procedures and app is not a good system for returning at least for me. The owner needs to be more customer oriented. You can tell he's only there for the money terrible location terrible experience will never rent from here again.

omero M.I rent a auto trailer two to three times a year for ten years now.. But today was not a completely good experience because of a new rule posted at the counter. The rule said Uhaul needed a second verification and called my emergency number at 7 am, that's 7 in the morning! This new rule of yours is outrageous! Was the person who created this stupid rules brain dead? If my contact didn't answer their phone or was out of town would my rental have been declined? Please do the right thing and abolished this horrible procedure.
Ricky B.I found today the Penske charged my sister $150 less than our rental today. It was $29.95 for the truck and 1.29 for mileage. The next 3 weekends we will be renting from them.

Richard B.Your new policy of needing a 2nd phone number and needing to call them was not stated upfront at time of reservation. I have rented from uhaul for years and never had this issue. It should not be assumed everyone has their telephone on them when renting to look up numbers! If you need it - fine. But warn people upfront when the confirmation is made. Undue aggravation.
bill M.The process was very smooth. Delivery and drop off people were extremely polite and helpful. More than enough pads came with the boxes. I was able to pack a two bedroom condo into two U-boxes. Delivery was on time and was able to move pickup and drop off days one or two with no hassel or fee. The price was half of the PODS pricing and I had no complaints or damage.
Paul M.U-Haul Moving & Storage en Thornton is always a good experience. Staff is friendly, quick, and efficient. U-Haul‘s online rental reservation is a really good user experience even with all the different options they offer and you need to go through. Makes renting as painless as possible.

ABDULLAH A.We thought everything went great at pick up. However, at the end of the trip we were charged for 300 miles more than we drove. Our mistake was not checking the start mileage on the truck against the paperwork, but clearly there was an error on the paperwork - that's on U-Haul.
David C.My phone is not working correctly which is why I was unable to receive calls. I tried calling to return the truck a day sooner at a closer location due to unsafe weather conditions and your coordinators (reached at 5106515400 on Tuesday at 5:45pm) informed me that I would be charged an additional estimated $200 for returning it to a different location. This would be more understandable if the booking was made and I wanted to change the reservation for my own reasons but it seemed your staff would rather I drive unsafely back to Fremont than worry about a relocation of a truck. ON TOP OF THIS the staff at this location were extremely prejudice towards me and my gender identity. At pickup insisting that it is “already rented out to someone else†because they mistook me for a woman? Then once I confirmed that I, Dale Greene, was there to pick up the truck the staff member helping me then referred to me as “Miss Dale Greene.†This was highly offensive and I responded politely with, “it's mister.†And I got an eye roll! This behavior is not acceptable in a place providing customer service of ANY kind. I will not be a returning customer no matter the offer but would definitely appreciate even a partial refund due to the discrimination and inconsiderate manner of your employees. I hope you hire better people and want to express me extreme disappointment with my first U-Haul Moving experience. ~D.G.

Akram M. | First ImpressionsHad an exterior unit and unfortunately, I was unable to get my sofa into the unit due to the size of the door. Be that as it may, another issue I encountered was large pools of rain water right outside the doors of all the units on my side. Noticed a rain gutter about 15' from my door and the rain water just collected on my side causing me to have to hop over the water or step right into it soaking my shoes. Imagine having to do that with hand full with oversized objects such as flat panel televisions.

This requires waving out in the hall to turn it back on but it's still a bit of a challenge because it can get down to near total darkness. If there were a dial timer to keep the lights on this would be a lot easier.
