Windshield was not clean plus pickup bed was full of leaves. Some pick up trucks had bungie cords in the back bed but personal said that the pickup I had did not come with one. The insurance I paid was 25.00 per day. I only used the pickup for about three hours. I feel the insurance rate should have been pro rated. Thanks for your time and help.

I don't remember the lady's name that dropped off and picked up at the storage unit but the ones the picked up the empty boxes where Abby and Dafnee..

1. I was told I won't be able to get the van I specifically reserved for which was the Ford Transit 150 Cargo Van but instead was given a GMC Van. I called customer service to ask if there was any available on the location and the agent I spoke confirmed there were a few available. 2. Second issue I have was the customer service agent at the location tried to scan my ID using their personal cell phone device. I think this breaches the privacy policy put in place and needs to be looked at. I would like a follow up in this regard before raising the matter to the proper authorities.

When I reserved a uhaul online, I reserved a 26' truck and when I got there it wasn't available. The women handling the store at the time had no idea on how to assist me. After she left the store to find out what was going on, 20 minutes had passed so I went out onto the lot to find her. She then told me that the truck wasn't available and maybe “someone didn't return it.” When I asked her how I should proceed, she said “I don't know try calling customer service to locate another.” There have been many occasions where I was running around looking for a truck I reserved and I didn't have the time to do that today. So I asked for any truck available. Due to the fact that I had to rent a smaller truck, I had to make multiple trips in order to move my items out of my house. I called customer service about the $50 credit of my reservation wasn't fulfilled and she then told me because I got a truck she couldn't do anything, but will report it to her managers. I'm still waiting for something to be done about this. Customer service was horrendous in the Takoma park store

They have me a van that was blocked in and then the girl started walking outside to unblock it without saying anything or responding We just assumed and followed her. Then she just got in and moved the van and left us assuming that it was ready. Clean van, unorganized and lack of communication

Takoma park location is full of ghetto, low class, disgusting animals who “work” there. No one knows what they are doing. Corporate needs to do better when hiring workers. The cashier's long eyelashes almost blew me away. Way too long for u-haul. Maybe nice for Halloween or a strip club.

The truck was way out in the back 40, not where it was pictured by the app, and there wasn't any info to tell me where it was on a 5-acre lot. Also, there were no instructions on how to pick up the dolly and the blankets I'd reserved, so I ended up going without them because the line was so long at the desk

The personnel were terrific but the rental experience, dreadful. I pre-reserved, pre-paid, pre declined insurance and had to go over the same questions again when I came in to pick up the van. Then they could not find the key, then the one I got was clearly not clean and tires needed inflating and oil change light on throughout. The staff were amazing but never again will I use u-Haul to rent anything.

Your Takoma Park Location and equipment are great, however, the employees you had working at the counter on 10/28/2020 at 4:20 pm were very rude to me, I have been there before and everyone has been very nice, they kept saying they have new management and they have to be more strict, What does that have to do with Customer Services?

Overall, the self check in was no faster than counter service and maybe took longer. I also had to go inside for help three times; so much for COVID-safe pick up. Honestly disappointed. 1. Van was parked in. It should be freely accessible to move. 2. Get an outside key access box so I don't need to go inside & wait to get key. 3. Make sure the van is ready to drive; one tire had low air. 4. Ensure location of van matches where app tells me to go; it was in a different place.

I don't think there's much you can do about this, but trying to get back to DC from this location is not easy. Customers should plan their route in advance to know how to get back where they are going.

Even though I filled the paperwork online as a covid 19 new guidelines, I still had to wait around one hour to get the keys. The associates were more interested in checking their phones than helping. I also reserved a regular utility dolly but somehow they didn't have it so I had to rent something else that pretty much wasn't that useful. About equipment being clean, It's not applicable as I didn't see any sanitizer being offered to customers which is very special necessary in middle of a pandemic!

You can make it right. The truck was unavailable. I was given a smaller truck. It took extra time and days to move. It in turn took many more miles and another set of movers to finish the job. What was an inexpensive way to move, cost me much much more. I was pushed around through customer service. No one helped.

I will NEVER use this location again. I may never even use U-Haul again. I arrived 10 minutes before my reservation, as suggested in the confirmation email. The location wasn't being found by the UHaul website. After about 15 minutes, I finally got it to work and got the code for the key lockbox. It was empty. I asked 4 employees for help, they each either ignored or dismissed me. I finally found out the key to the truck that had been assigned to me was “missing” so they gave me another truck. I had a couple of more questions, so I went back inside and approached the woman I had previously spoken with. With a lot of attitude, she said “Didn't I JUST help you?” I said “Yes, but I had a couple of other questions”. She replied as if I was the biggest annoyance and burden and I got a giant eye roll at the end of our conversation. It took OVER AN HOUR from when I walked up to the building from my car, so when I actually got in the truck. Because a different truck was on my reservation, I couldn't go through the return process online. I arrived not 5 minutes after they closed (you know, because my day was pushed over an hour behind because they couldn't find the truck keys). No one would help me. I understand that it was technically outside of business hours but I would've appreciated some sort of acknowledgment or help besides a rude “We're closed, just come back in the morning or whatever” that I got from an employee. I am incredibly unhappy with my experience and will be using a different company in the future. This location in particular was HORRIBLE. All the employees I interacted with were disinterested and rude. The check in/pick up process was not easy - not because of the website but again, because of the location. I could go on and on about more of the awful things I experienced that day but I think this was plenty.

Workers spent most of the time on their phones or in the back while a line built up and were playing on their phones even while serving customers at the front desk. Waited 45 minutes and other people in line were complaining about the service and why only one person was at the desk at a time with like four other workers standing around and talking. It was annoying but I get it. The much bigger problem was how it was not made clear what my rental charges would be and how that related to usage time, which caused me to spend way more money than I intended. Training the employees to state these clearly and succinctly would be nice. Employees seemed lost as to the status of their trucks and where other things were. I rented a dolly and nobody showed me where the dolly was or brought one out to me, so I had to go back in line and wait another 20 minutes to ask for the dolly. When I brought back the truck an employee tried getting me to bribe him to drop some charges on my bill. I got my bill with a $150 missing/damaged dolly fee even though my dolly was returned without damage in the bed of the truck, which I pointed out to that employee. It took over two weeks to get the charge refunded. What should have been a routine truck rental for a few hours turned out to be a massive headache and I won't go here again. There was a Uhaul facility in Hyattsville where I experienced none of these issues, not sure what happened to it. This place needs to get its shit together.

The person who took care of me was the rudest Uhaul representative I have ever encountered. He claimed his name was “Chris” and when I asked for a supervisor he stated he was the “shift supervisor.” I asked why are you not wearing something that indicates it or do you have a card? And his answers were always smarter. After arguing for a few minutes he called the store manager - Dionte (which is what he should have done from the beginning) but the situation did not improve. Dionte did not even acknowledge us, he was calmed but he did not help at all. He was more concerned about backing up Chris and not trying to understand my point. After standing there for over 30 min I had to give in and pay whatever they were asking for because I NEEDED the truck. Also, the rest of the employees were nosy and continued to stand behind Chris and Dionte as if they were a gang backing them up. It turns out I just called customer service, explained the situation and they understood and gave me a refund. Please let go of Chris and Dionte they really provided the worst customer service I have experienced, give the company a bad image and make you never want to return. The rest of the personnel were fine.

I will never shop U-Haul again. My recent visit was wretchedly horrible. Customer Service was akin to dealing with a gang of unscrupulous thieves. The General Manager, as their Mob Boss, is poorly skilled in the areas of customer relations, as well as, employee management. "A pack of Goons," best describes the actions and behaviours of your frontline/ counter staff. Additionally, all types of unsavory characters hang and loiter about the grounds of this location. Not one customer was able to walk freely from their car and into the store without being accosted and asked to engage in some type of illegal business Transaction. Rubbish, absolute rubbish!!! The employees didn't have on masks during the middle of a pandemic. The truck you have to find for yourself. The employees have horrible customer service and they don't do anything to help you if you can't find your vehicle, the reservation time is a farce because they won't let you get your vehicle at that time. Don't go to the Takoma park location. You will contract covid and they won't do anything to compensate you.
