The van was not "filthy" but had obviously not been washed in a while and I found some items left behind by the previous users. It served it's utilitarian purpose, and the guy behind the desk got the job done, but I would NOT say that anyone went the extra mile. At the same time, I guess we should all be glad you just have workers, at all, since they are hard to come by these days.Kim S.
The rental and equipment were great. Service by the person hooking up the trailer at pickup and the person unhooking at return was great. Unfortunately, someone failed to record the trailer back into inventory until almost 24 hours after I returned it. As such I was then charged for an additional day. I immediately notified the store of the error and they said they would correct it and I should receive a credit in 3 to 4 days. I find this unacceptable and not in keeping with the uhaul return policy and procedure. Very disappointed.KENNETH M.

Horrible service with the employees. They barely provided information. I felt I had to ask numerous times on the instructions of where to drop of the trailer. They were not clear and did not want to unhitch it until I moved to â€œwhere it had to be dropped offâ€ which was about 20 ft from where I parked and it clearly had signs to drop off where I was parked. Took forever to get served, they served someone that came in after me before me. Then I got charged 1galon of fuel even though I drove under 25m, and put 2 gallons in and average is 13.9m per gallon. This is my 3rd U-Haul in a month and this location has turned me offDimitrios I.

I did not receive the equipment I asked for. Also, the clerk was attempting to charge me for gas. I replaced the fuel and put the meter back to half. She says the meter was â€œa little bit past halfâ€ . I'm not sure what that's supposed to mean seeing that she denied it being 3 quarters or halfway between half and 3/4. The meter was on half when I received it. Also, I walked in to check out and there were no other customers. When we came in to do paperwork, she started helping two other customers and disregarded me. Unprofessional serviceRyan P.

We reserved the truck in Canyon Country and then just before our pickup date we were told we needed to drive to Burbank to get the truck. We made the reservation 6 weeks before pickup and did not appreciate the extra travel required.William K.

My suggestion would be is to have hand trucks and accessories ready in the truck. I had to drive back and grab what I needed. Gas, milage, time etc, are being wasted.PAULO G.

Staff was fine, but the trailer had so many problems that it ruined the experience. We had to delay our cross country trip by 1 day until it was fixed. You need better maintenance checks before rentals go out.Brian M.

Even with a reservation the vehicle was unavailable . One was found heading for Miami supposedly and was given to me. Car was clean however my concern is that I used my GPS to go from the uhaul to my hone and back. 18 miles each way and to pick up a table 8 miles away . I counted around 52 miles in my GPS and used less than a 1/4 of a tank. To my surprise the mileage on the car reflected 92 miles. I don't understand where the 40 miles appeared in the car. I think it's very strange, concerning and worries me that this could have happened or happened to others like that customer heading to Miami. The vehicle is AH81041 AZ plates. It was very difficult to return the trailer after hours. The return link did not work. No one at uhaul answered- there was a 35 minute wait to speak to someone. It took over an hour to return a little trailer.Mark G.
The girl at the front desk was nice but she switched the truck I was renting which in turn I was charged for the wrong truck they had to refund the money and the only time I will rent again is from anywhere but UHAUL. I have schedule a 26' uhaul and I was told that the A/C did not work In the truck! The gentlemen in the front deck said we can find you another truck and he found one in canyon country and booked me a new truck. He only booked it for 10hrs and I told him I needed for 24 hrs!! He said it's ok they will give to you for 24hrs. So I drove down to canyon country uhaul and they told me I can only have it for 10hrs and the previous gentleman made a big mistake!! Then I had to drive all the way back Hollywood wy uhaul and the gentleman did not care that I have was driving back and forth to get a uhual. I ended up taking the truck with no AC. That site was terrible did not care to explain the proper way to check a truck or clean!Cesar O.

This location has had problems for many, many, many years. I have rented different types of trailers from this location ever since I lived in the areaâ€¦13 years. It is as if none of the employees care about how they treat the customers at this location. Another thing is your phone center and and the ability to call in and talk to the location to say that it is a giant pain in the ass and horrible is the understatement. Your whole process to try to talk to somebody at the location good things verified change something just to get simple questions answered is absolutely atrocious! They way the company is run in regards to contacting the location or trying to speak to someone in the corporate office is virtually impossible. And is totally and completely unacceptable. If Penske would go back to renting car trailers without having to rent a truck I would never use your equipment again. That's how bad the company and your process has become for me.Tyler M.

Not sure if this is the personnel at this location, or if it is a U-Haul policy, but I was not given nor offered a return receipt, which seems odd to me. When I asked for one, they said it wasn't normal to do that, and looked at me like I was crazy for asking for one. Still, none was offered. I had to call uhaul and ask for one, and finally one was emailed to me. Seems like a receipt for the successful return of the equiPAUL D.

This has been the worst storage and uhaul rental experience I've had out of all the times I've used Uhaul over the years. Honestly I'll never use Uhaul again because of it. The one way rental process was terrible. No one on the corporate side could figure out how to put the drop off location I requested. It took 4 phone calls to get someone that could do it. I went to the storage location and requested if they could they said to call corporate. After finally reaching someone who knew anything they inform me I have to drop it off by 9am on the due date. The documentation didn't mention the 9am time so I planned to drop off after work. But since I'd get charged an extra day I changed my meeting schedule so that I could come drop off the truck at 7am. Which I did. However. When I arrived there was only one employee who was cleaning a truck out. The drive was blocked. So I had to sit and wait 10 mins before I could pull in and drop off the truck. I dropped off the truck gave him the keys. And then a week alter get a bill for an extra day truck rental. He did not check it in until after 2pm thus I got charged an extra day because they don't do things timely at this location. I went in 3 times! Trying to get them to credit me. I emailed them(no response. . Called them. Every time they said the manager was out and couldn't do it themselves. I gave up and let them keep my. Money. I had a storage unit there. That I was slowly moving things out over about 4 car loads. EVERY single time I went there was only one employee always busy outside of the building so I had to stand and wait 10-15 minutes to get my "white lock" key to access my own stuff. They need help. Very poorly managed facility that needs staffing increases or changes. Clearly they need the money they stole from me for the extra rental day more than I do, hopefully they use it to help pay for additional staffing.justin m. | Overall Experience
