At pickup they gave me the truck with 3/4 of gas. As I have never drove a uhual before, the gas gauge looked like it was full. It was at the last line and there was some space between the line and “F” I figured it was full. When I went to refuel I got in the truck and saw that the line was not where I picked it up at. It was past the line where I thought it read full. Pretty upset about this as I spent $60 on gas. The location was very disorganized and it took 30 minutes to get my truck (I was the only one there) and the staff members didn’t know how to give me a refund.

Staff was awesome! Fast checkin and they were slammed 5 minutes before closing and they were all smiles and friendly. Other locations I've rented from have always been grumpy when you show up at closing. Great crew!

Started with a rude phone call from this location after Uhaul switched my location to a place 30 minutes further away the day of pick up, due to a broken truck at my original location (didn’t even say hello, just my name, then when I asked ”how are you” he stated “better if you would just come get this truck”). Continued at the store; I’m glad I was personally so thorough, because had I left, I wouldn’t have even been able to get into the box of the truck, as the employee gave me no key for the padlock until I requested it. Also forgot my moving pads that I paid for and had to request those again as well. Employee stated that truck was at half tank of gas, I pointed out it was at 3/8, and he stated that he noted it in the system and I was good to go. He did not, and I had to discuss this again at the drop off. (also did not have 12 as I paid for, only 9). Truck was in terrible shape, but I had no choice but to take it. Bad exhaust leak (couldn’t use the ac without it pumping exhaust into the cab) extremely noisy brakes, check engine light on and truck was sputtering with every take off. Will definitely be shopping around before going with uhaul again if they keep vehicles in service that are this rough...

Problem is with your call center. Also, location did not have any furniture dollies available so I had to go to another. Staff at location were great.

I did not like it because a person felt that he was the owner and made a comment that bothered me the first time and ignored him but the same thing followed with the comment and I did not like that

This was the absolute worst U-Haul experience I have ever had. I rented a tow dolly this morning. As I drove away from the location after picking up the equipment, a piece of equipment fell off because one of the safety chain mounting bolts was missing and one of the two wheel ratchet mechanisms fell off as a result. I drove back and eventually found the piece that fell off and decided to reinstall it myself rather than have to drive to another U-Haul location for a similar piece of equipment. I returned it at 4:20 p.m. only to find out that they were attempting to charge me for two days because I returned it after 4 pm. Wtf!!! I paid for 24 hours you sons of b******. How dare you try to charge me for a second day when I had only rented this piece of defective equipment for 6 hours. I have completely lost all respect for you all as a result of this experience. I received the car with a warning light to change engine oil soon. When I returned the car they accepted it and called me an hour later that they charge me $50 extra because it wasn’t clean enough. I vacuum cleaned the car the night before and even cleaned the loading area with water.

I rented a dolly and turned it back in within 24 hours. I just received a charge to my credit card saying I kept the dolly 5 days. This is fraudulent. And I will file a report of fraud against this location.

I went into the location 1 wk prior to my move to reserve the truck. The associate in the store quoted me 1 price for the entire day and did not mention insurance coverage also stated "You really don't need to reserve for next week I guarantee truck will be on lot", This was for Labor Day weekend which also was the 1st of the month so I still reserved the truck knowing it may not be available. Date of move was told by Mgr that the truck was reserved until 1 PM which was NOT the case. I was given until 7 PM to bring it back Plus he made it sound that I MUST purchase the insurance as my auto insurance would not cover.. I was unable to verify this with my agent as was not told previous week of the insurance needed. I WAS not told of the possibility of after hours vehicle return. Subsequently rushed to get vehicle back before 7 PM got it there at 6:55 PM and workers were ready to close the doors. Now I am sorry but you DON'T close until 7 PM not 6:45 PM. Due to this store billed extra day.. I did get that refunded after I filed a dispute. Truck was also VERY hard to start. I had to push the gas pedal completely to the floor before it would turn over. All in All I WAS NOT HAPPY WITH THIS STORE AT HOLLYWOOD WAY & GLENOAKS BLVD Sun Valley, CA. I will NOT send ANYONE to this location.
