The young gentleman who helped me get a larger storage room on Thanksgiving was so friendly, funny and helpful. He was overv6 ft tall, but walked into my new room and checked all the walls for nails, even though he had to duck down. U haul is highly recommended by me

I communicated with them several times over my unit, billing, removal of items, and when the unit would be returned only to be questioned several times and find my access revoked in the middle of a billing period that they tried to authorize a charge for without permission. Currently telling everyone i know NOT to work with this company.

Asked for a dolly. Did not receive one after being told it was there. Did receive refund for dolly. Truck sounded like it had engine problems. Everything you went up hill check engine light came on. Truck was dirty when we picked it up. Stuff under seats came rolling out when stopping.

I had to use this location because the original reservation was for a different location. I was called the night before our move and informed that the 26 ft truck would not be available. We then had to go out of the way to get the truck which was now 20ft vehicle. The entire original reservation was not honored even though I made the reservation a week in advance. When I arrived to pick up the 20 ft truck I was told they did not have a vehicle to rent. I now had 6 people ready to help us move with no rental truck the day of the move! The folks at this location jumped through a few hoops to get at least a 20ft truck Because of their effort we were able to accomplish the move. Even though it was a larger cost to me due to mileage and aggravation (consistent when using UHAUL) we were able to over come the predicament that UHAUL placed us in. A big thank you to the folks at SPANAWAY location Lesson learned: Reserving a vehicle with UHAUL does not mean you will have a vehicle reserved!

If they lived in the area, however we live in Gig Harbor, WA, the address of this location says Tacoma snd it was truly in Spanaway, over 45 minutes away for pick up and drop off. This takes 2 hours away from our contract.

The location is perfect. Customer service I rec'd at the store was top notch (that kid needs a raise!) even though the condition of the Van was not. I was told the van had 1/4 gas. It did not. It was on E with the gas light on. I drove to the gas station to put gas in it and was immediately cussed out by a woman who cut in front of me when I pulled in. I decided to go to another station (less than 100 yards away). When I pulled out to the street, the van died and I was stuck. I tried to call the Uhaul office and I was put into this horrible call center phone line, press 1 for this press 2 for that. I couldn't get through without a 3 min wait to the office. I then called my mom, who tried to bring me gas however there was no hose in our can to be able to pour the gas without spilling it. Enough got into the tank I could turn the van over when starting and move the van into the parking lot of the grocery store. When I tried to turn it back over it died. While this was happening I was also on chat with roadside assistance. Mind you- I picked up the van at 1:30 pm. I am still sitting waiting for gas in the parking lot at 3:00 pm. I have to take the van back by 6:30 pm and I haven't even done what I originally got the van for. Roadside assistance said they got someone to bring me 3 gal. of gas but it would be 120 min wait time. Again, I have to take the van back by 6:30 pm, I haven't gotten anything done I needed to and I am still waiting for gas. The best friend brought me 2 gal of gas to get me to the gas station. I end up putting $36.00 dollars in not including the $5 my friend paid for. I did end up speaking to the office at the store I checked in at and although the young man who was helping me was very very nice and tried his best to accommodate me, they left me hanging like it was my fault I ran out of gas. As if I should have brought a gas can and put gas in it when I first got into it. I ended up paying full price for the van rental and I even brought the vehicle back before 6 pm. I just didn't want to deal with it any longer. It was the worst experience I've had to deal with in a long time. I was embarrassed, mortified being stuck in the middle of the street with my hazards on. No help from anyone randomly or from Uhaul. I was stuck in the road for 1.5 hours before I got to the parking lot. Can't get through with the phone number provided. Roadside assistance text was rude asking me what my issue was. Um, I'm in the middle of the street in YOUR VAN WHICH DID NOT HAVE ANY GAS IN IT, and you're asking me what my issue is??? Wow. Unacceptable.

Better cleaning of trucks

I was called the day prior to my reservation, and told that I would need to go to a different location. The lady on the phone told me that it was only 6.8 miles from the original location that I had selected. I asked her if I could get a credit for the additional miles that I would have to drive since it was out of the way, to which she said “NO” and that I could either just take the rental or not. When you are on a budget and being charged by the mile, I think that the least you could do is offer a credit of some sorts, instead of charging me an additional $20+ dollars for mileage that I would have never driven. Thanks for offering to take care of your customers U-Haul. NOT!!! Saddest thing is that this review will not get any attention from Sr. Management. ðŸ'ŽðŸ»

There is not very much parking at this location and I was not sure which entrance to use to pick up a rental. Better signage for people that are not familiar with this part of Spanaway will help with the pickup and return of equipment.

Check the trucks before each rental, so customers are stranded with a truck that is broken down. Driving a truck that could have literally blown up due to a gas leak that no one bothered to check.

The whole process of renting and returning a truck was the absolute worst because the original location canceled my reservation on the day of my move and the location I had to drive to which took me an hour out of my way on moving day was very inconvenient and I was not allowed to return the truck at my originally scheduled location. The only thing I appreciate about this experience was the woman who helped me find the new reservation. She was working at the Earnest K Brazil St location and she went above and beyond to be helpful. Much more so than the people who work the phone reservation system who were completely rude and unprofessional on the phone. I will not rent with Uhaul again.

Service was horrible. A manager should never give quotes/prices to anyone if she is not sure about the prices. I felt lied to, disrespected, and threatened by her Customer Service actions telling me that the price is the price and if I didn't want it that she could just cancel my contract. No professionalism. No integrity. She also did not apologize for her actions of the prices she offered me or for giving me the wrong price. False advertisement. Defrauding a disable person. Manager states $74.95. At ring up charges $99.95 when she was specifically asked for a space down stairs to accommodate disability. No follow up from other managers to address and fix concerns. Every person you try to get help from is rude or is not willing to go above and beyond to retain customer satisfaction. No follow up from corporate office.

Do not schedule a pick up for the exact same time as the return is due. If the person returning is late it pushes back the pick ups entire schedule . Also if someone has an alert on their account let them know that as they are scheduling and not at pickup. Did not receive scheduled equipment

Your online service leaves much to be desired. It showed no credit for the initial payment that I made. It showed an increase in the amount that was decided upon. So I really don't know what I owe at this point which makes me upset. Since the way I work leaves me with the online service to use this really hinders me being able to use your facility.

I was told the 15ft was unavailable which I had reserved over a month in advanced so was then told only the 10 ft would be available and that was sufficient for a 2 bedroom. I got to pick up the truck which it clearly states on signage at the checkout area a 10 ft is meant for studios to 1 bedroom and the truck was unsurprisingly extremely too small. I moved across the state (atleast a 5 hour drive one way) and am now forced to pay to rent a trailer and miss work in order to drive back to Tacoma yo pick up the remainder of my items and drive an additional 5 plus hours back. This has been a difficult process and I do not wish to use your services in the future.

Was our first experience with the app. The app was to complicated and it was the first time we had to deal with that. And will never go there again because it was a waste of time.

The employees were incompetent and had no sense of urgency or customer service. I completed the online “express” check-in process and waited for more than 20 mins to be helped. 2 employees were working in the office. 1 didn't know how to rent equipment to a customer in front of me and the employee literally sat at his computer, doing nothing while he waited for someone else to come from the back. The employee who came from the back seemed to have no issue renting the equipment to the customer. During the time the male employee was sitting there doing literally nothing, I asked if I needed to wait if I had completed the online check in. He and the other employee rudely asked if I had a key number and if not I had to wait. I did not have a key number but when it was my turn, all of the info they needed was already on the system so it seemed that I had done everything I was supposed to do to avoid this time suck. The female employee was operating in slow motion. It was unbelievable.

There was a brand new employee there when I moved my stuff in. It was 3 minutes to 7pm and I had a lot of stuff left to move. He comes up to me and says in a condescending tone "this place closes in 3 minutes, you need to wrap this up." I told him that I thought the access was 24/7 and he replied that it's not anymore because people were caught living in their units. I'm upset that he talked to me the way he did and also because this place is advertised as open 24/7. That new employee also paints his nails white and has an ugly haircut.

There was some debris on the floor and outside the unit in the hall including a broken lock on the floor right outside the unit. There is also a rodent bait station which I guess I should assume Uhaul put that there and I should leave it there. An explanation would be helpful though. It is also a disposable one so I dunno if it's empty and should be thrown out. The Uhaul video explaining that the passcode is for a gate code and a door code. This location doesn't have a gate like in the video. It has two doors and three keypads for passcodes. Which seems weird. I had to try all three to figure out which two I am supposed to put the passcodes in. I also don't know if their is another entrance to the storage since there are so many Uhaul vehicles around the entire building. It is also a rental place so it is very hard to access the storage.
