Customer service was AMAZING. I really appreciated the gentleman who checked me in for my rental. He was polite, prompt, and very helpful without an agenda. It was a great experience. There was a sign posted in store regarding COVID-19, and how ALL steering wheels, seats, handles, knobs and buttons are wiped down and sanitized between rentals. This was NOT AT ALL the case with my truck. I don't care that the truck was dirty. But the steering wheel was sticky and had dirt and stains on it. And all of the door handles and window cranks and even buttons and knobs on the centre console were the same. There is NO WAY any of it was wiped down and sanitized. It was unacceptable... Especially with the state the world is currently in, and even more so as the notice in store represented and promised something COMPLETELY different. I am disappointed, as this is unacceptable.

Our move hit every hitch we could imagine but Aws and his staff provided us with fast, friendly service. When we hit more hitches they were very accommodating with our equipment. These guys know how to treat their customers!! I highly recommend this location for your moving needs.

All the in person and over the phone customer service was great. I created a uhaul account on your app to facilitate returning my rental after hours and the app would not recognize my location to complete the online after hours return. Having an option to manually enter an address or site number would be beneficial.

I’m an obese woman, the seat belt didn’t fit and no seatbelt extender was available. I think seatbelt extenders should be mandatory for every U-Haul location.

Frustrating when you you get there and they don’t tell you exactly what is needed so show up with equipment that doesn’t fit so have to buy new in order to use, but then don’t have the tools to help assemble then let you use the companies after you have paid for equipment. So frustrating.

Well, originally it was for the Mattress people on 6035 Gateway. I only received texts and emails saying they were open. Much to my shock when I arrived for my 10am reservation at 9:45 I was shocked to find the Mattress people were going out of business. Not only that but my uhaul was on another properties parking lot. I called uhaul only to discover the app they wanted me to download was unavailable in my country (Canada). So it was 10:45 am at this point and I had called uhaul for a 2nd time. Explained my situation to the uhaul representative and even though they had dellt with it by sending me to another uhaul company less than a mile away, it was a horrible experience at the Mattress people location. It appears that many have had the same experience with that Same location, Uhaul get off your a$$ and take your business away from this guy.

The steering alignment was way off, the tires were completely bald, and the window wipers didn’t work well. Overall the truck was in poor condition, especially for winter driving. As a result we got stuck in the snow twice adding over 3 hours to our day.

Randy was super busy on Friday when we arrived to pick up the trailer. He handled the pressure very well and provided excellent customer service. The lot guys were also helpful with getting the trailer hooked up and helping us when we returned it.

Ordered a 10’ truck, turns out the location I ordered from was closed so got moved to the south side location and got “upgraded” to a ‘15 truck. Did not need that big of a truck and was told on the phone that since this was an inconvenience we would not be charged for the upgrade. Ordered furniture pads and a dolly, missing both. This made moving a struggle as we had to drive further and were missing furniture pads and dolly, we made it work but when returning the truck we were charged full price for everything. The guy at the location took off the charge for furniture pads and dolly but I don’t understand why we still had to pay for the truck that we were told we would not have to pay for. This is not the first time I’ve had issues with uhaul, I will be using a different company next time. Not worth the trouble or money for unreliable service that charges full price for the inconvenience.

Truck I rented was clean but poor me hanical maintenance. Truck felt like transmission was about to go. Staff were super friendly, uhaul system was down when I returned truck so had to wait all day to get my refund. Down payment was rediculous. $200 down when website says its supposed to be $100.

Only one agent was working the counter during both pick up and drop off. Stood in a long line up for over an hour to drop the van off. Thats an hour of my life I will never get back!! Everyone lined up was extremely pissed off with the excessive wait time. I was told this location does this all the time. Many people in line commented they will look around for an alternative to renting Uhaul because of this. My rental unit was in excellent condition. However, The summer tires on this vehicle are totally inadequate and UNSAFE for driving on winter roads in northern Canada. Providing a vehicle that doesn’t have a full gas tank upon pick up is ridiculous. Fill the gas tank and expect it to be returned full. That’s how the rest of the rental vehicle world works. Doing it otherwise rips people off with excessive fuelling charges. This didn’t happen to me but I didn't appreciate playing a guessing game on how much fuel to put in the vehicle before returning it.

I waited in line for an hour in the morning to pick up the unit and then when I returned the unit I had to wait in line for an hour and 20 minutes. The manager of this place should be fired for such stupidity.

Minor issue: the truck had some leftover blankets and a dolly and cart inside it when we picked it up, even though we didn’t request any of those. Otherwise, everything with the pickup/drop off went very smoothly and the truck was perfect for our needs. Overall very satisfied.

You should allow pics to be uploaded from a phone at checkout. A lengthy checkout process when it's cold and dark outside. Access/egress is poor from the site onto 51 Ave. Truck was empty of fuel at pick up which should never happen.

Improve the way we need to verify the equipment condition through the link sent by text message. We tried to upload the pictures we took at the Uhaul location before leaving and were unable to.

We had a major issue returning the truck we rented. It was "after hours" and using the Uhaul website was extremely frustrating. Being older, the site couldn't recognize the "lication" even though we were at the Uhaul building.. something about our browser and the location.. even though it said on. We phoned Uhaul, lady in Virginia helped us... but then when trying to upload photos... the website kicked us out.. 50 minutes of struggling to work with the uhaul website... we finally gave up and dropped the keys through the return slot... I understand we will be charged an additional $20 as we didn't complete our truck return through the website. I feel this method is unfair for us older folks who don't understand websites, browsers, uploading pictures etc. Staff should be there past 7pm to assist older people. Why should we pay extra to do their job???

Have more staff on hand with better customer service etiquette. To have only 1 guy working on a saturday near the end of the month is pretty stupid. I waited 15 minutes and only 1 customer was served.

The only clerk working on a Saturday morning, very busy but remained calm and professional. I did see one potential customer leave over the delay in service. My check out was quick and easy. I have used this location in the past and will continue to use as the needs arise.

The only problem we was with your booking process We had reserved the truck to pick up in Red Deer I received a call Thursday morning- the day before we were to pick it up that there was no truck available in Red Deer We had to go to Blackfalds Now we were coming from Calgary had to go through Red Deer- pick up in Blackfalds and go back to Red Deer to load the truck and proceed to Edmonton We would thought that maybe someone could have driven it to Red Deer- saving us some time We were not impressed by the way you handle the bookings Probably will look at other rental companies in the future

The staff didn't book me out when I left the place. I then received a bill 5 weeks after I left as what I was owning them 151$. I had to wast more then 2 hours and drive on place to get it cancel 😡
