Nothing, the service was great. The only thing I would recommend is that you could have a full tank of gas to start out with instead of a quarter of a tank. I did return the truck with three quarters of a tank for the next person.

I requested a regular dolly and was told by the worker, Tyrel, that there weren’t anymore. So the only way I could get a dolly I had to get a utility dolly, $3 more, which I didn’t really need or want. The utility dolly that I received wouldn’t stand up without being held, which made things harder in my move. After leaving the uhaul place, going to the storage unit 3/4mile up the street and loading a dresser On, the truck wouldn’t crank at all, the battery was dead, I had to call my daughter to bring me jumper cables in hopes that they would resolve the issue. The only response I got was I needed to go online to report the truck not starting. I’m so disappointed with this entire experience.

The process to rent a trailer is ridiculously slow. From the time I arrived at the first location until I left with a trailer took 2 hrs. It took 30 minutes for the first location on Greenbrier to tell me they didn't have a trailer available. The Butler St location didn't have everything needed to hook the trailer to my truck. I have an everyday 2500 Chevy truck. Shouldn't have been a problem.

The first impression at this location is a very unfriendly one. The parking lot is tight and confusing. I reserved an 8:30 pick-up time at my preferred location. I was directed to a different location due to availability. But the new pick-up location had different hours which affected the return time. Uhaul charges for late or non-business hours drop-off. When I asked about this at pick-up, I was told I can do a self checkin by following directions on the Uhaul envelop to avoid the charge. At drop-off, I tried to follow the instructions, but there is no "Return My Truck" option on the Dashboard as States in the instructions. An initial phone call to Uhaul ended with an automatic hangup. Another call to Uhaul customer service was able to complete the trailer return, but the customer agent had to do it. The non-business hours return process needs to be reviewed by Uhaul and adhered to by all Uhaul locations. Additionally, if the alternate location has different business hours than the chosen location, the hours should be listed and pick-up/return hours should be automatically adjusted to match. Don't make the customer end up paying for the locations' inconsistencies.

This is hands-down the best customer experience I have ever had in my 28 years on this earth. Sam went out of her way to make sure that everything went smoothly for me and I was comfortable with how everything would unfold so there were no surprises. With the stress of moving, this was invaluable. Because of this interaction, I have been sold on using U-HAUL for any future moving I need to do. I would recommend that my friends and family still in the area go to this location, even if it's way out of the way, it was that amazing.

Clerk, was rude when addressed with specific questions. Kept interrupting me and telling me "he was going to get to it". He did not show me me where my rental was located - he verbally gave me a general location and I had to hunt for 10 minutes to find it. Called him back a fayblater to see if I could get an extension on my rental - didn't reply with a yes or no, said "you know have it until sunday afternoon, right?. Yes, you nitwit, I know how long I have the frigging rental for - that is why I'm calling to ask for an extension. Wanted to confirm my drop off location over the phone and he insisted that I look at the paperwork he gave me, which I did not have at the time. Over all, really poor customer service. Would not recommend.

Be honest when it comes to selling equipment! EXPLAIN THE CONTRACT BEFORE PURCHASING NOT AFTER. Your equipment badly damaged my car. Your sales rep said that my car would have no issues getting on after I explained to him my car was slightly lowered and he even looked at my car. Then after I left and tried putting my car on, it wouldn’t work and I dented/scraped my car bad and put a hole in a tire. On the way down, my front and rear bumpers both popped out of place and scraped. And when I called to ask about coverage I was told you guys don’t help In the case of a “modified” vehicle, but that’s not what was explained up front! Never using you guys again, which is a shame because being military I constantly am moving.

Get the truck serviced! The rpm's kept going up unnecessarily and the alignment was extremely off that made left turns close to impossible. I reserved a truck for a location less than 2 miles down the street and was told that we had to go to a location 8.9 miles away. I have a screen shot of the location's $50 reservation guarantee that we have to now paid an additional $20 because of the company's inability to coordinate a proper reservation! I'm very upset that I put over $20 worth the gas (almost 10 gallons) for going 42 miles (20 of which was just coming and going to designated location). That's 4 miles per gallon! (I attached the gas receipt with the keys). Tractor trailers get better mileage! What type of scam did I just fall for? The app asked for a review and didn't even let me. Someone needs to do something! I will never use uhaul again! Now I have had to jump through hoops just to leave a review. Do you genuinely want feedback?

Customer service was great from the initial call about rates to final drop off.

The actual ball and hitch were improperly installed by the Uhaul employee who helped me with the rental, causing the 6x10 trailer to become unhooked on the highway, 10 mins after I left the pickup site. The trailer was swinging side by side as I slowed down, causing me to swerve back and forth. Thankfully the cars to my side and behind me saw the trailer become unattached and were able to slow down avoiding a accident. I was on the side of a very busy 3 lane highway waiting 3 hours for someone from Uhaul’s roadside assistance to arrive. I had around 5 different conversations with uhaul personal trying to locate the first driver, I am sure they are all recorded, who apparently was never found, and had to wait another hour for the second one to arrive, who literally stated the hitch was incorrectly attached and was able to properly attach it. When I returned the trailer right after it was fixed, the employee who was at fault, did not show much concern for her error. I was refunded the trailer fees and decided to rent a moving van for my trip. I am very thankful me or my family were not injured with your employees error. This could have been a fatal mistake!! Employees need to be properly trained and have continuing training to show their competencies.

We rented a trailer to take kids to camp. We had notified them that we would be coming after the services on Sunday. We received a call asking if we were still renting the trailer since it was after 1pm. We stated yes and went to the facility to pick up. Upon arrival the employees asked us what we were there for and I informed him we had reserved a trailer and were there to pick it up. His reply was "we have already cancelled your reservation." I asked him why since we had just been called. He stated because you are late. I asked him if the trailer was still available and he said yes but since we cancelled the reservation we would need to fill everything out again. NOTE: He was doing what is, I am sure, company policy but his "directness" was taken as let me shame you for being late. We have rented from Uhaul for the last several years and will continue to do so even after this less than perfect episode. I realize he may have been having a bad day but did not like being the recipient of his displeasure.

My reservation was not entered correctly and I had to return the u-haul way sooner than I expected. I paid $70 and didnt even get my entire move done. It was not the clerks fault as she was not the one who took my reservation. She was very friendly but I will not be renting a uhaul again.

I can’t say enough good things about the people here. I called them even before I pick up my truck. I was moving under military orders and I had to shift my drop off date about 3 times. The manager Samantha was wonderful. She helped me figure out the best and cheapest plan. Anytime I had questions I would do my best to get her on the phone. When I finally arrived, after driving half way across the country, I found the entrance particularly blocked by another customers van. I did my best to get the 26ft truck and tow dolly around it, but the tow dolly ended up catching his rear bumper. Alisa was at the desk and was extremely helpful she helped do the paperwork and made me feel better about the situation. Samantha even came down and helped get everything straightened out. Everyone was polite and very helpful. As long as I am living in the Chesapeake area I will go out of my way to rent from this location.

My order had a bumpy start when my reservation got moved and I had to scramble to rearrange my moving plans, but Ms Sammy more than made up for it with her incredibly helpful and professional demeanor. She was incredibly kind and knowledgeable, and made the process so much easier. I truly appreciate her help, and especially how kind she was to my toddler. He had a million questions and she was so patient and kind to him. Her customer care made what could have been a difficult experience extraordinary, instead. I really appreciate her.

I was coming back from nags head and trailer lost the wheel bearing so I needed to get a trailer to get a golf cart home which was 5 hours away. I called this uhaul and asked the rep if the trailer would work and if she could measure before I came got it and then when I got there after she told me it was bigger then what it really was we needed to try to see if it fit. It did not so we brought it right back and then was charged $16 something for the return because we did not rent from them. I don’t think I should get charged because she told me wrong size and she also didn’t check to see if another sister uhaul had one which I found a trailer that would work down the street. Just not very professional and willing to go extra mile to help someone truly in need.

The only issue I encountered is when you close out your account you don't get part of your payment back. My payment $165.98 was due on the 24th of November and I closed the account on December 8th .
