I will never use this location again. We left a purse in a rental truck. When we returned 10 minutes later to get it, it was gone. It mysteriously turned up by the dumpster a week later with all of the cash missing. The manager refused to look at the security tapes to see how it got there. There was no time for anyone except a staff member to take the purse out of the truck.angela g. | Overall Experience
The two U-Haul representatives at this location were rude and did not help whatsoever with the issues I was having with the app and with processing my payment. They literally stared at me the whole time with a condescending look and had an extremely sarcastic tone when speaking to me. Although I had my bank on the phone verifying my funds for the payment, there were issues with the self check in app and the payment would not go through. I ended up having to borrow the funds from my brother in law who happened to be there to let me use his credit card (embarrassing). I also witnessed them being rude to another U-haul customer who had issues with the straps on the hauler she had rented still attached to the car. The U-Haul representatives were very unprofessional by gossiping back and forth about the other customer with issues right in front of me. They were talking about how they weren't allowed to help her unless she paid for it. Ok- I understand the legality of not being able to physically help someone because of insurance issues. HOWEVER, one of the most important aspects of proper customer service involves COMMUNICATION. If the U-Haul reps would have given the customer a chance to explain exactly what she needed help with, they would have realized her only issue was with understanding how to correctly loosen the straps attached to her vehicle. My husband ended up helping the customer and both him and I were disturbed at the way the U-Haul reps treated her. Lastly, once the payment issue was processed and the U-Haul became available, the biggest mistake we made was trusting the rep who BOLD FACE LIED to my husband and I about the furniture dolly I had ordered for this U-haul reservation. She assured us it was in there and said she put it in there herself, so you can imagine how upset we were when we finally got to our storage unit after leaving this U-haul location.Chrystal E.

Staff refused to help me at all with the potentially dangerous procedure of unhooking my car from the vehicle transport. They also tried to make me back the 26' truck, with transport, into a small awkward space, saying â€œwe're not strong enough to move the transport into its parking space, so you have to do itâ€. I refused. I was able to find another customer to assist me with getting my car off of the transport.SEBY B.

We rented a car hauler one way from Toledo to Detroit. It rang up as a two-day rental. I asked the person checking us out to change it to a two-day rental. She said that it's just how it comes up initially, and they would adjust to a one-day at the drop-off site once we returned it within the one-day window. At drop-off, they said this was not the case. I told them that's not what was presented to us at pick-up, and the attitude from the start was "too bad" -- the man there said specifically, "You ran your card and paid for it." The person at drop-off was rude and said 'I'm the owner, there's no one else for you to talk to," when I asked to escalate. When I called U-Haul, the woman kept repeating that there's only two-day for one-way rental and said that the pick-up site was a corporate location and they wouldn't tell someone what I explained to her. When I told her I was offended that she's basically calling me a liar, she said anyone who calls me back is going to say the same thing, then said "Goodbye" and hung up on me. So awful! If this is how UHaul does business now, hello Penske or some other rental place!Tammy B.

The central call center did not schedule the appointment for the time we discussed. This was the 3rd time using the central call center and each one was a disaster. I suggest consumers be able to call store locations directly for scheduling and product information. The store did accommodate and do the installation which I appreciated very much.BETH W.

The attitudes of the employees was appalling. The woman who â€œhelpedâ€ us came to hook up the trailer with a lit cigarette in her mouth and was less than communicative and helpful with the entire process. This interaction alone ensured I will think twice before giving money to Uhaul again.James A.

I was NEVER told when I rented the trailer that there would be an after hours fee for dropping it off after they closed. I do not have a smart phone. In all the years I have rented from you, I have never been charged any kind of after hours fee. In fact, I had rented a trailer on Friday, July 9th from a different U-Haul location, and they did not charge me an after hours drop off fee. The girl I talked to today was very arrogant. She simply didn't care. I am renting a trailer for this weekend. I have several more reservations over the next several months. If I am charged this fee again, I will cancel those reservations. There are many other places I can rent a trailer from besides U-Haul.Stephen K.

I specifically said prior to renting that I did not want the rental put on this charge card, I returned the van 21/2 hrs later and without my consent it was put on that card. When I said something it was a snide remark of being my fault. And the mgr was super irritated when I said to back it out. Also that I'd get a confirmation of it nothing so far.
