I moved at night and the cargo dome light didn't work. It made life very difficult. Also, the site was unclear and I was under the impression I'd have 24 hour access to my storage unit and that was not the case. Very disappointed by this as I was still loading things into the unit when I was locked out. The truck share return process was confusing as well, the website had a photo of an orange key return box so after 15 minutes of looking for an orange box I saw the hole in the door. Also the one working light in front of the store kept flickering. I had hoped to have an easy move but the biggest issues were with loading into the unit. The doors are also bent and I had to pry the door open and it slammed into my foot and, in doing so, cut my toe. The whole process is very convoluted.

MARISA B.Firstly, I was told I would get a month of free storage with a one way out of state truck rental but I was charged. Multiple customer service executives told me that it was free for a month. Next, I tried to address this matter with customer service and my call disconnected while waiting on hold for more than 30 mins Lastly, we were about to check but we weren't sure of the process and got 20 mins late and we were charged an extra day I am very upset and disappointed with my overall experience. Gopi K.I'm always curious about how rough the motor sounds on the trucks; wondering if it's normal for them to sound so rough and if acceleration is supposed to be slow. It's fine if it's true. I'll always only use UHaul! The customer service is always amazing in the store and using the 24/7 feature was amazing! Thank you UHaul for always making my moves easy! Your supplies are par none!

joe S.I have not rented a uhaul truck in many years so my knowledge of what's changed is limited. So, the young man who checked me out did not mention the severity of how important it is to check the gas amount with the chart on the contract. He told me to just bring it back at the same amount which I did. However the assistant manager Aaron told me I had to pay an additional 8.00 dollars because I did not match the amount on the contract. Even though I told him about my conversation with the young man and the gas receipt I had in my hand. I guess the customer is not right and this is where I have a problem with your system. I will never rent a uhaul again, especially from this location for sure.

Natilie C.Check engine light was on for the entire trip. Truck was fine. Mentioned it to the staff before leaving and they said it was the sensor on the gas cap. My only worry was if something else showed up I wouldn't know because the check engine light was on for no real reason.
Rebecca C.Talk about customer no service. Check in process in person, I had to do it on the app cause checking in at the counter wouldn't work. Have to use My cell phone to make picture of my driver's license and the app at the counter would not work. Said it was because of bad cell service. Sat out in parking lot and do it on the U-Haul app. Went on line , said rent one way WAS available but when I got to 1st store (hwy 124 location) said NOT available here. Went to 2nd store cause hwy 124 said Hewatt Rd was available, but 2nd store also said no. So ended up renting it local, drove truck back to store. Total process took 3 hours.
Terry W.This is the second time we had issues with this location. We waited several minutes under the tent where it said to wait to drop off. Finally one of us went into the facility. The employee was watching a tik tok video and told us to drop the trailer next to the 10 ft trailer but there was not a 10 ft trailer anywhere around. Then she came out and said "I told him what to do" I will never go to this facility again
Debbie P.I was told I would be paying at drop off location and card given was only to have on file until I returned truck because I had to pay with 2 different cards. They DID NOT honor what they said and charged entire balance before I even dropped it off!!!!! I'm furious. I have overdraft fees because of this and expect some kind d of compensation for U-Hauls screw up

CLIFFORD D.1. I do not like the fact that I signed up for contactless rental and because I was renting a van I was not able to do that. I had to actually go in and wait in line have my contract reviewed before I could even get the key 2. I reserve the rental on my debit card and while I was at the counter I was advised that I had to use a major credit card 3. There was a hold placed on my credit card for the estimated amount of my rental 4. I returned the truck before my four hour time frame, I also filled the gas back to the proper place, and then U-Haul tried to re-charge my credit card for the amount of the rental even though it was less than what they had put a hold on my account for 5. Customer service is at a all time low at that location because the people could not even explain to me why they had to re-charge my card even though I was owed money back

BRAD B.Although there is room for improvement sometimes a box is just a box and thats all thats needed. I needed to be able to get a truck and I ordered it at the last minute. They did not have it available. So I rented a 6 x 12i was able to get a couch two small chairs an ottoman a complete king size bed and frame with a chase in there. I was sure I was gonna have to make multiple trips. But it all fit. It was the best deal that I got and Im very happy about it..

Austin D.When picking up the truck the store marked my gas at little over half a tank and thats how i returned it however i was charged $12 for gas anyway. When returning the truck the app was not working properly so i could not upload the pictures as proof so i ended up not being able to complain about it since its my word against theirs. I will not be back!

Luis R.Christina was there in the morning to help with my trailer reservation pick up. She was very Cheerful and friendly. She was professional and obviously knowledgeable. The trailer was in good shape and ready to go. Returning in the afternoon was quick and simple. I understand that moving things online and through an app might be the direction for a business to go but there is too much detail in renting road equipment for me to want to do it on my phone. And really, there is no replacement for a friendly, knowledgeable employee. There is good value in customer service.
Bill D.The two guys that worked there have amazing customer service skills. I've worked for the state for 22 yrs teaching customer service to businesses and these guys here are amazing. They can answer any question, they are so polite, profession, and because of them I would only use THIS location. Never seen this before at any other U-Haul rental place. They are so patient with the customers that were there. I asked a million question and they answered them all without an attitude and never acting like they wanted me to shut up lol lol I told them what I wanted to move and they were able to give me a variety of options, explained the difference in the vans. I learned so much, I think I can work for you guys part time. For real. They really made this a good, quick, simple and easy process. Great jobs guys and keep up the great work. Never change.

My rental office in Springfield, IL said that I could expect a free rental for any size unit. I called the Snellville location on 1/10 and talked with an agent at a remote location. I reserved a 10 x 10 unit. While Christina was most helpful in locating a 5 x 10 unit that met my needs, I was frustrated that the first month's rental was not available free of charge.

Instead of a 10x10 that I reserved I was given two separate 5x5 that a matter was doesn't fit in. When I tried to handle the situation the employee went and helped other customers and never returned to help us solve the issue. I left, had to reserve another unit somewhere else and couldn't even get them on the phone to cancel the units. We had to cancel them through online service.

We were told we could consolidate both units into one and at that time would only pay for one unit the following month. However when we informed the employee we wanted to pay for the following month for the one unit we were told by the employee and his manager that we could not do that and would have to either move to another unit or pay for both. We were given two different prices and No One, including the manager even bothered to apologize for the misinformation their employee gave to us. We will NEVER do business with UHAUL again.

The young man was truly helpful but as I heard him talking to his manager to help him with working the system the manager was rude. When he asked if I can get the free month she adamantly said no and I still had to pay extra for the additional storage. With all the aggravation the least the manager for this location could have done was work with us better to help instead of sounding irritated with her employee for contacting her and not honoring the first month free promotion online. I'm very disappointed with our treatment.

And employee told me that they would lock the unit and have the key at the front office when. I came in to get the key to load up the storage unit and waiting in line for an hour. Once I got to speak to an employee, they told me that they couldn't get the key that was supposed to be at the front desk for me, I had to wait for the other employee, who was currently practicing horrible social distancing skills by using customers cell phone to get information about booking a storage unit. Instead of just giving me the key, they told me that I'd have to wait longer than the hour that I already waiting, for a key I already paid for, that was supposed to just be at the front office. I left. I had other pressing matters to handle on top of dropping off all my clothes to the storage unit I already paid for. This has completely altered my moving processes. I just want the key to the unit I paid for so that I can access it.
