DAVID WLisa the manager treated me so disrespectfully during a situation that was between U-Haul and the city. Literally told me my stuff would be thrown away if I didn't have it out in twenty days because uhaul didn't make sure their units were up to city code. Then charged me another months rent and a moving truck to get my stuff out. I'm so glad to be done with U-Haul.

SUSAN BReserved a truck and a car trailer 2 months ahead of time, then I get a call 3 days out that they have to give me a bigger truck because they don't have the one that I (reserved 2 months prior). Then I get told that the trailer that I (reserved 2 months prior) is in Wayne Nebraska and if I want it then I'll have to go pick it up, which is 60 miles the opposite way. Then I was told apparently U-Haul "doesn't pick up the equipment for the customer, it's up to the customer to go get it." So I guess reservations mean nothing.

VICKI BSince it takes time for a hitch to be installed, there should be a customer room with tables and snacks available. Telling the customer to go to Arbys a block away during the 3-hour wait is unacceptable. The facility is large with room for such a thing; why no amenities for the customer? Also, the cost estimate for the standard installation was $30 less than I was actually charged. ???

GREGORY GWhen a customer reserves equipment, please ensure it will be available. I have a disability and needed the truck and dollies I reserved, at the time I reserved. I was called the day before telling me my pick up time was moved back by 6 hours. When I got there to pick up the equipment, I was told there were no dollies available. First come, first served. It made the move I had to accomplish much more difficult.

Scott QI was given the wrong equipment and could not exchange at another location when I got to my pick location because of massive 2k fee I would receive at both ends of my trip. So I had to drive 5 hours back to the original location and talk with them. When I talked the young man behind the counter said he understood but could do nothing about with a manager. He took may name and number and said the manager would call. I never receive the call and now week later they charge me for everything that is didn't get to use. $800+ is lot to pay for something I drive 12 hours with and could use. I will be filling a customer complaint and fight the charges.

CYNTHIA WWhen completing the application U Haul ask for the number of miles that might be incurred and charge $0.99 per mile based on that estimate. Having no idea how many miles would actually be incurred, we put down 100. Actually far less was used and U Haul does not give credit for the mileage not incurred. Certainly doesn't seem fair and would recommend low balling the usage miles and paying the exact amount when returning the vehicle.

Dale Hwe live out of state and was happy to find a place like yours to keep things in storage until we were able to bring it all back to Missouri. Have no complaints with the place. edward vMoved on Monday 07-15-24 with temps in upper 90's and heat index 105 to 118. The A/C in the truck quit working 100 miles into our 300 mile move. The U-Haul staff in Sioux City, IA and Lawrence, KS were very good. A token discount was applied back to our credit card in response to the A/C failure.
Gary BWe had initially "picked" a different location for drop off listed when we registered online. Luckily we called before the drop off and found out that the drop off location we picked no longer accepted UHAULs. The chosen location told us to drop off at the Gordon Drive location in Sioux City. But...if you drop off at a different location then picked you get charged a fee. The Gordon Drive location fixed our issue. Maybe UHAUL can do better and update their drop off locations.

I advised I needed the van for 24 hours but it could be a possibility I would need it longer. He advised it would be no problem just call to extend. The next day the uhaul facility contacted me and asked if I was returning the van. I told them I needed it longer because I wasn't finished and hadn't had a chance to live anything to storage. They told me I could not extend because it was reserved for 4 pm. They told me I needed to bring immediately. I told them I had to find a ride and what not and would call back to find a ride back from uhaul facility. Lisa continued to call me anyway saying bring the van back now. So I rushed to bring it got there at exactly 4pm. The van was NOT reserved as they said and they charged me for gas even though they told me to rush and bring the truck. They had 3 other vans pulls up for return as well. Both women in the facility were rude. Ignored my question about being rushed. By the time I left the facility it was almost 5. The vans WERE NOT picked up by anyone else. It created a huge inconvenience, stress and waste of money. I cancelled me storage because of the poor experience. I don't understand why they were so rude and wouldn't slow me to extend when people came in that same day and were able to extend their rentals. I would NOT recommend or go back to this facility. This is a horrible way to treat PAYING customers.

One time we went to retrieve things from our unit and the alarm was going off. We told the guy on duty about the alarm and he replied, "Oh, that happens all the time." So, the alarm was going off, and no employee thought to investigate… left us feeling that our individual alarm was pointless. Other than that, our overall experience was pretty great. Also, really appreciate the climate control, we did have an antique table and a couple of other important items that stayed as good as they were when we initially rented the unit. We rented it for a couple years.

Collin S | Overall ExperienceI have unmet expectations here. 1. I pay extra for an a/c unit, but last summer, it was hot every time I went there. 2. This week, I was told I would not be charged a late fee, because my cc was turned off for fraud over the weekend. But I was charged a late fee. 3. The light over my unit has not worked for more than 6 months. 4. My experience with the online uhaul payment site has shown a lot of room for improvement. When I set up payment in the online acc management, the information did not transfer to the facility. I no longer bother with it. The staff is lovely and very friendly. The facility, while run down, is kept very clean.

Leanne v | Overall ExperienceThe outside access garage doors at this location never worked the way they were supposed to. On more than one occasion I had to park outside and walk my storage items in and out through the walk-through doors. The last 2 times I was there, I was told they didn't work. When I used the walk through door, I found a personal vehicle, an enclosed trailer and a snowplow truck parked inside the bay. If the garage doors didn't work, it seems that it would be impossible to get those vehicles in and out. On my last visit to move out, the enclosed trailer was still parked there, taking up 2 inside bay spaces. And a trash can with something on top was blocking another. The motion activated lights in the hallways rarely all worked as intended. And when I moved my furniture out, I found mouse feces in one of my chairs.
