I knew that the brake lights and blinkers were working but not until that night when I was at a stop light did I find out that the running lights on the trailer were not working so on the last stretch of about 1.5 hours my trailer was not visible to vehicles behind me. I was offered a month storage for free with my one way truck rental. I accepted the offer, completed the online move in process at which point I was informed everything was all set to move in. I even called the facility to ensure that if I were not available to move into the unit that my representative could do so if I had completed the online process. I work as a front line healthcare provider and had to work so asked my wife to move the contents into the unit. I gave her all the details to do so, including a screen shot of my confirmation. At the facility, the buildings were very poorly marked and when she asked the employee where the unit was, she was informed that the employee could not give her any information because the unit was not in her name. When my wife finally located the unit, with no help from staff, the codes we were given for access did not work. As I was trying to care for my patients, I was also having to try to handle this chaos over the phone with my wife. Finally, my wife forced to go back to the employee and demand assistance to access the unit. Ultimately, locating and accessing the unit took twice as long as actually moving in the contents. As an extra bonus, to complete the online move in process to the unit, I had to pay 99.95 even though it was supposed to be free for month. I called the location 3/25/2021 to request a refund of the 99.95. The automated system informed me it would be a 20 minute wait for a representative. After nearly 39 minutes someone came on the line. I explained the pricing issue and was told that someone from that location would call me that day. Needless to say, it is 3/29/2021 and I have still not received a call. I am currently waiting on the phone (23 minutes so far) to try to get this resolved. I am EXTREMELY disappointed and frustrated with the entire process and would appreciate contact from someone who can help me. You guys make a point to mention on the automated phone system that calls are recorded to help keep your promises made to your customers. Hello, I just want to let you know the reason I'm making this complaint is because I'm going to need U-haul trucks on a regular basis for transporting merchandise to craft shows that I regularly participate in Savannah, and I just want to figure of how to avoid these situations in the future when renting from this location. First, the wait for both pickup and drop off at this location is outrageous. There is never enough staff on-hand to accommodate how busy they are. This is the second time I've rented a truck in the past week, and the wait is excruciating. My average wait for a pickup is 30-45min, and my average drop off wait is 45-60min. There are always lots of grumpy people in line because of this. Secondly, this time when I picked up the truck the fuel meter indicator was on the full mark, but when I went to get gas after only an 18 miles round trip, I had to put in $12.73 of gas in the tank. That's 4.76 gallons. There is no way I used that much gas on my 18 mile trip. When I filled up, the fuel meter indicator read past the full mark. At $2.66 per gallon, I would really like U-haul to credit me at least $7 for gas, considering the previous person didn't fill up the tank entirely, and the U-haul employees did not bother to top the tank off before giving it to the next customer(me). I can provide you with the receipt if necessary. . Also, the employee Donovan Bauler (who checked me out) called the general manager (Lalhia Williams) and she denied me a credit . Other than those areas of service being well below average, the employees were all friendly and respectful at this location. Please let me know what can be done. U-haul needs to have more employees working to take care of customers. All of the employees working the day I dropped off the van were very nice and worked as hard as possible to take care of everyone, but 3 employees is not enough for such a big operation. It's really not fair to put that type of pressure on the employees, and it's also not great for the customer. Overall though, my experience was pretty good!!SCOT K.
I had to wait while the first representative re-entered my order which I had already placed on-line. When I was shown the trailer the exterior was dirty and the driver's side mudguard was dented. The second representative who directed me to the trailer did not point out the damage, but when I asked what I should do, he said "yes, I know. Take a picture of it". Since this was not my fault, shy was it my responsibility to report the damage. The whole attitude of the staff was unsatisfactory. And then, when I tried to return the trailer, I was kept waiting for over 20 minted despite staff being on site. Eventually I returned the trailer myself on line. Not a very good experienceANDREW W.
Equipment was damaged. One of the tire straps on the tow dolly had been cut and was too short to wrap over the tire of the towed vehicle. Luckily we had some of our own straps with us and were still able to tow the vehicle.jeremy P.

Bedbugs on uhaul truck and unit that got into my brand new furniture and our home on base causing us to throw out all our furniture . Staff had I don't care attitude and told my husband they didn't have bedbugs. Unprofessional manager provoked an argument and ultimately called the police after she made a threat to me, the customer. After renting a truck in another state, traveling for 2 days, and arriving expecting to check in with 0 issues this was the last thing that need to happen.
