I have pictures of the unit ceiling falling in and mold everywhere from the hot and cold weather causing moisture in a closed in unit. The weeds from outside began growing on the inside through the back of the storage unit. I had rat feces everywhere. I tried to donate much as I could of furniture items to Goodwill. I refused to take any of it into my brand new home. Everything else was packed and tossed in the trash. I can't believe I was paying for almost 4 years to throw everything away. It was horrible. The Uhaul truck was the only thing that was great. It didn't breakdown this time on me. I wish I could submit these pictures to show other customers. I paid on the 30th of every month which included late fees since my unit was due on the 12th of every month. I paid for Uhaul to deliver horrible services every month to me. I recommend Uhaul to upgrade the whole structure and treat customers items as they would treat their own.latosha b. | Overall Experience

The reservation people I dealt with were great. Very friendly and helpful. However I was reserved a truck and went to pick up the Saturday the 1stat 4pm. I get there and the gentleman stated he no longer rents uhaul trucks or trailers. With trucks in his lot. So I had to call and scramble to get another vehicle for Sunday. And it cost me quit a bit more to rent on Sunday. Spent 44 min on hold and with rep to get my vehicle Cost me a lot of money and time because of this. I'd like a little refund.Douglas F.

took 30 minutes to get my uhaul. I was on a schedule and had driven in from Brunswick to get the move done. The computers kept crashing on the lady. She gave me an extra 30 minutes but I had hired people to help with the move. wasn't impressed. Not very friendly or communicative. I went out side waiting for my truck and was waiting and waiting. A man who came in way after me walked out with keys and left. I had even done the check in thing on my phone. Crazy. Not impressed.VALERIE B.
I reserved a an appliance dolly over the phone after I got to the location they said they don't have any so they sent me to another location who gave my stepdad the wrong dolly. We ended up having to carry a washing machine up 3 flights of stairs so I let them know when I took the dolly back they said I would be refunded and I could reserve the correct dolly free of charge. My stepdad went to get the dolly on that Tuesday they kept saying that the reservation was cancelled. After about 10 mins they found the reservation and I was still charged for the dolly.brett J.
To be more informative on the rental contract. I received call saying I was over my time limit and my cost would double. When I signed the contract the limitations were based on mileage not time. Upon returning vehicle I ended up paying just the mileage which was fine but the phone call really felt like a con.Reuben H.

The gentleman helping us assisted with getting the auto transport connected to the car but when asked for assistance in strapping in the car after I loaded it on, I was told that was an extra fee. After asking for details, the gentleman reluctantly helped. When seeing the way the straps were connected, I questioned whether that was correct and assured they were safe. Then the gentleman proceeded to say that he wasn't sure what the extra fee would be but wasn't going to charge us and instead we could give a $50 cash tip. We didn't feel that was appropriate and left. When we arrived home, about 20 minutes away, we double checked the straps and they came off the tires with barely any contact. Fortunately we didn't drive across the country yet as planned because we could have significant damage to our vehicles and the trailer, plus any potential safety concerns for others on the road. Overall, the entire experience was awful and makes me question whether to use Uhaul in the future and whether customer satisfaction and safety is of any concern.ZACHARY B.

I understand COVID has impacted the nation and I understand the u-haul trucks no longer have the equipment inside, but if the associate notice the equipment number is incorrect it should be changed on my account. I had to sit on phone hold more than once waiting for the answering service to be sure I didn't get charged for an equipment I didn't have. The answering service asked me the same thing I was thinking "If he took the time to tell me I had the equipment I made registration for but the code on the equipment was different than the one on my account why he did not change it." Associates could avoid customers a lot of extra hassle by correcting the right equipment. I was already very busy, so calling the customer service was more time that I could've been taking care of my move. I really like renting from u-haul because it quick, easy and convenient to me and my family. GraciasELIZABETH P.

Fortunately I was pulling the trailer mostly during daylight hours. I knew that the brake lights and blinkers were working but not until that night when I was at a stop light did I find out that the running lights on the trailer were not working so on the last stretch of about 1.5 hours my trailer was not visible to vehicles behind me. I was offered a month storage for free with my one way truck rental. I accepted the offer, completed the online move in process at which point I was informed everything was all set to move in. I even called the facility to ensure that if I were not available to move into the unit that my representative could do so if I had completed the online process. I work as a front line healthcare provider and had to work so asked my wife to move the contents into the unit. I gave her all the details to do so, including a screen shot of my confirmation. At the facility, the buildings were very poorly marked and when she asked the employee where the unit was, she was informed that the employee could not give her any information because the unit was not in her name. When my wife finally located the unit, with no help from staff, the codes we were given for access did not work. As I was trying to care for my patients, I was also having to try to handle this chaos over the phone with my wife. Finally, my wife forced to go back to the employee and demand assistance to access the unit. Ultimately, locating and accessing the unit took twice as long as actually moving in the contents. As an extra bonus, to complete the online move in process to the unit, I had to pay 99.95 even though it was supposed to be free for month. I called the location 3/25/2021 to request a refund of the 99.95. The automated system informed me it would be a 20 minute wait for a representative. After nearly 39 minutes someone came on the line. I explained the pricing issue and was told that someone from that location would call me that day. Needless to say, it is 3/29/2021 and I have still not received a call. I am currently waiting on the phone (23 minutes so far) to try to get this resolved. I am EXTREMELY disappointed and frustrated with the entire process and would appreciate contact from someone who can help me. You guys make a point to mention on the automated phone system that calls are recorded to help keep your promises made to your customers. Bedbugs on uhaul truck and unit that got into my brand new furniture and our home on base causing us to throw out all our furniture . Staff had I don't care attitude and told my husband they didn't have bedbugs. Unprofessional manager provoked an argument and ultimately called the police after she made a threat to me, the customer. After renting a truck in another state, traveling for 2 days, and arriving expecting to check in with 0 issues this was the last thing that need to happen.
