I was already asked on the online reservation about adding insurance to my rental. It was denied. But when I went to pick up the trailer, I was charged for the insurance even though I had already declined it earlier in my online reservation. Extremely busy when we arrived, and no vehicles available, even though 4-6 others had made reservations and confirmed vehicles would be available. . Customers getting upset and verbal to staff, but I will say the manager Erica Young handled the issue well, and even provided a vehicle, though not what we had initially requested and was confirmed, Bigger vehicle but same rate as vehicle originally requested. She was very calm and was very accommodating to us and a few others that were not being "over the top" with frustration. Wasn't her staffs fault, reservation system is flawed and so automated it assumed locations have vehicles when they don't!! Poor, Poor online management. I used U-Haul services for the first time on 5/13/2022 . I received 6hrs which was needed for my move. Pick up was okay, as there was only one person working at the time, drop was simple as it was returned way before the 6hr expired. On 5/18/ 2022 I made reservations online, assuming it'll be more efficient once I arrived, because of my deadline. Needless to say it wasn't. In a nutshell I Must say I was extremely dissatisfied to say the least. I only received 2hrs to complete my move, which was beyond ridiculous and near impossible to complete my move. So I called to see if this was a mistake, i was placed on hold, seemed like forever, gave them my name & number, which they couldn't in the system. I dropped off the vehicle thinking I could've gotten a resolve, questions answered. Yet again one person with a line all the way to the door.. I couldn't wait, so I left. I just don't think I will be doing business there anymore.Aretha W.

I had no idea that uhaul only held your reservation for one hour. I thought I would be fine showing up a bit late sine I had the reservation booked for the entire day. I understand this is policy but would appreciate if it was stated more apparent when checking out. Although I understand I was late to pickup, the lady who seemed to be manager was very rude to me and not understanding at all.BreAnna R.

I feel I was ripped off. Rented a van for two days returned it in one day, given 271 miles for the trip which wasn't totally used. The contract states from Pooler ga to Fayettevill ga it didn't specify a specific drop off location. I was changed an extra $42 for returning the van a day early, not using all given mileage and leaving the vehicle at a U- Haul location. I spoke with an employee who said his name was Mike who attempted to convince me that U Haul was doing me a favor by only charging me $42 when they could have changed me an extra $600. Historically this company has been known for its professionalism, honesty, integrity and fairness. I hope this is a case of employees over zealousness and not company greed. Resolution: refund the extra $42 back to my card. Until then I nothing positive to say about U- Haul.GARRY R.

3802 Ogeechee Rd in Savannah, absolutely horrible customer service, incoherent morons. I had the truck reserved for 24 hours 7:30pm to 7:30pm, they put down 11 hours, I had to call the reservation specialist to put it back to 24 hours. Today I get my receipt they charged me for â€œ2â€ days. It isn't rocket science to listen to a customer or put numbers in a computer. Who ever the Manager is there, he's just as bad. Walks away from customers as they are asking him a question, it isn't that hard of a job to do, you book trucks all day.Joseph S.

Ogeechee location was good. Unfortunately, my overall experience with u-haul was extremely disappointing. The KINGS & QUEENS location told me "I had alot of nerve" regarding directions & hing up on me. Her name was Leslie. I'll never forget her. Also, location was changed twice. Causing me to change plans with all arrangements. It created alit of anxiety. Moving is stressful enough without this. Don't plan to EVER use U- Haul again. I don't like being hung up on & the games that were played. Leslie treated me worse than a dog.Donna C.
The only complaint I have is the mobile check in/check out process. If an account is required to properly use the service, then that should be part of the registration and order BEFORE customers get to the lot. I tried to check in our truck at 11pm on 4/22 and didn't realize it didn't register because I was prompted to login with an account I didn't have. We created a new account, but it didn't matter because the reservation wasn't tied to it. This resulted in a number of issues. Thankfully, the manager on site was able to sort it all out. Reserved a 10' truck, called to confirm reservation the day before â€œall is good and set to goâ€ we were told. Got there, was helped immediately by a sweet young lady. Told they didn't have the 10' truck and upgraded to a 15' at no extra charge. The young lady that helped us was attend and if she was unsure about any of the details she was quick to ask manager The truck we received was not clean inside - the cup holder had something sticky in the bottom. Other than that, the truck drove well. They also had USB ports to charge your phone.William G.

The working staff did not have knowledge of the systems and how to access the reservations. Should have gotten 1 month free rent on storage and lock included. Was locked out the storage at 10pm until 5 am was never relayed this information after explaining more then once had drove 4 hours to move items using the rented van and would be back in 4 hours to store items in the recently acquired storage space.Douglas R.

Rude and very unprofessional. I waited 20 minutes in the truck at drop off, i decide to go in and the employees were talking and not paying attention, i told them I'm here to drop off and they said to give them the keys and they will send the reciept. When I recieved the reciept a whole 24 hours earlier then charged me for an extra day and had the drop off time totally incorrect. This was the worst experience ever, the vehicle broke down on me and caused me to run sooooo behind on moving my things making me having to pay extra money to other people and places that I ran late to , then when I tried calling the store to report the vehicle being broke down they kept answering the phone and then putting me on hold immediately before hearing my concern. Once I got back to the location to turn in the vehicle on time to them I was given a 1800 number to call for emergency AFTER me returning the vehicle !! I had to wait another hour and half to get my $100 deposit back causing me to run later again for everything else I had to do only to find out I could only get $17 back from my deposit because during check out they never went over my miles that was put in wrong , plus they never compensated me for the vehicle breaking down on me and causing me to run late handling my business. It was a waste of time and next time I'll happily carry my stuff on my back before I trust to book with them again, spent all that money to be lied to , put in danger with a broke down vehicle on the highway, not given all needed Information during check out, spending more than told and expected, and not even getting a simple apology or compensation for the inconvenience, DO NOT BOOK UHAUL starting to become a scam to large and not thinking about quality.Taylor W.

They were supposed to adjust the price when the rental was returned. They charged me 30 dollars to use my card. They said upon returning the equipment they would charge me the real price of 60 dollars but my card statement says the full 100 dollars. That's bad buisness and it's theftDeanna C.

An African American male manager(I dont know his name)there, is fucking terrible. He's attitude is super rude and very low efficiency. I witnessed him almost attacked a customer. I booked a reservation at 3075 Skidaway Rd for 10 am. We arrived at 9:50 and I was informed that the person responsible for checking in u-haul rentals had left to get breakfast. She did not arrive back until 10:30 am. At this time, we discovered that I and another person in line were double booked for the single u-haul truck this location had. When the GM was called, she said that she noticed earlier in the morning that it was double booked - but had not informed either of us customers. We were then asked to wait an additional thirty minutes, then sent to another location thirty minutes away to get a different truck - increasing the amount spent on mileage we would have to pay in order to conduct our move. It took 30 minutes to get through the line at the new location. The GM of the initial location informed us that $50 would be taken off of our uhaul rental cost total, which it was not. At this time, I am struggling to get in touch with her to have the price corrected.David S.
Everything needs to be improved drastically. People working there at the location have very poor customer service. They continuously left the counter to go outside to do something and were very rude in answering questions. They were taking about 30 minutes per customer to help which is unacceptable. There was a minimum of 10 people in line at all times. Clearly they were not trained or selected without qualification. I would never go there again nor recommend it to it anyone else.Sohil P.

I was mischarged and have been waiting two days (mainly on the phone) to be dealt with. I used the unit for ~5 hrs are returned it the same day. Somehow it did not get logged in for three days, which I was charged to my account. This site does not answer its phones and the front desk lacks training to deal with billing. Very frustrating that the management is so inattentive to customers and their employees training needs. I rent often and this place is way below average.william K.
This place is awesome! A truck is a truck, but the people in this location make the difference! Everyone was very nice and made everything very easy. When I dropped off the truck I left my iPad in it and didn't realize it until I got home. I called them and they retrieved it and held it for me to pick up, AFTER THEY WERE CLOSED! I am so thankful for that! This llcation has been and will continue to be my GO TO place for moving equipment and supplies!Herman L.

I had a reservation for a 10x15 with drive up access and after waiting 40 minutes in line I was told the best they could do was a 10x10 on the 2nd floor. When I have a reservation, I expect you to have what I reserved. You shouldn't have confirmed my reservation if you couldn't deliver what was promised. It was impossible to close out my units using the online system. I got auto responses that it was being handled but yet nothing happened. I often could not get through to the local office and corporate office didn't have control over what needed to be done. I was billed late fees both times and it took me several hours to handle closing my accounts. Regarding the staff: Da'rian (he works with the trucks) and his trainee, helped us from the moment we walked in, and they were courteous and very willing to work us. They were way more helpful than the clerks whose job is was to handle storage facilities. The two clerks, a young lady and man, were slow and disconnected from us. At one point, I had no idea the young man was speaking to me because he and the young lady were laughing and joking like there was some kind of inside joke we weren't privy to. It was uncomfortable for me as a patron. Finally, he asked me directly to give him a code. I had no idea he wanted this from me because he was just saying "four digit number" without directly addressing me. The two clerks weren't outright rude, but their demeanor and the looks they gave each other made it seem like we were the focus of a joke. Again, it was really uncomfortable for my husband and me and not how customers should be made to feel after spending nearly $200 in their facility. Additionally, when they learned that I had rented a 5x5x7 locker, they immediately tried to upsell me on a larger locker, which is fine, I wanted the next size up, but there were none available. And the only storage locker, besides the one we were renting, was way too big for what we needed. When we asked to see our locker, we're were told again it was small, like a linen closet or a pantry. Again, I realize upselling is a part of the sales process, but they had nothing else to offer me that was suitable for my needs. I asked if there was a waiting list for the larger size, and instead of speaking to me, she told Da'rian, "I don't think they do that." Now, after all the upselling the young lady was trying to do, she wouldn't ask if there was a waiting list for a larger locker. Again, she didn't directly engage me-the customer-and at that point we had been there about 45 minutes, so I didn't have anymore time to waste hunting down that answer. Also, we had purchased 10 boxes, but no one came out to the floor to assist us. My husband had to cut the plastic straps himself, and we literally could've taken as many boxes as we wanted since nobody was paying attention to us or assisting us with this part of our purchase. We just took our 10 boxes and left-we addressed them by thanking them and saying goodbye, but we didn't receive any salutation from the staff.Matthew T. | First Impressions

I had a reservation for my storage unit as well as drop off location for the truck rental, I called to confirm my order by calling gouhaul.com and was setup with a 1 bedroom unit when I clearly requested a unit for a 2 bedroom home with living room furniture and appliances , I was also told that I couldn't use the location as my drop off location, only for my storage unit.when the location is in fact a drop off spot. The employees want to do a good job. But, I rented a space that I never was able to use because their was another vehicle parked in that space. I always had to park in a space other than the one I rented. The code to raise the gate seldom worked. Infact most of the time the gate was just left open during business hours because it didn't work. When I went inside to get help there was always a long wait to get any help so I usually just gave up and left. You have a nice facility. You have good employees that want to do a good job.
